[Q] Battery not charging Or showing stuck randomly - Micromax A110

Hi all,
I got my Canvas 2 ( 4 days ago ).
Cheers to this forum & all the awesome devs here!
Since I have bought Can2, I could only get to charge my device upto like 95% or so.. ( some thing or the other kept coming up!! DAMN! )
My phone has been giving like 1.5+ days of backup or so.. ( this is with heavy use - games/Wifi/whatsapping & data on whenever wifi is off ).
My phone came with 4.1.2 out of the box!
No root/flash yet. ( still discovering the default power of the phone ).
But --
Today I observed 2 things:
1. I put the phone on charge - and it just was stuck at 15% for quite some time. the charging red LED was 'blinking' the whole time!
-- this charging was through a multipurpose "Croma" portable charger. ( I was charging it through 2 pin plugged to electricity ).
I am not sure - whether the charging LED should blink or stay lit!?
I restarted the phone - and suddenly battery was like 67% !!
2. I disconnected the charger - and plug the usb into my laptop.
Now - the LED (red) was not blinking - it just stays lit.
But- the charging seems very very slow!
in last 40 mins it has just moved to 73% now.
What's going on?
Right now - I am running busy at work.
How can I handle this problem without "rooting" or anything that requires 'reading'?
Thanks in advance folks!
Sony.

Its ur charger problem.. Change the charger.. And if u charge through computer then it charges very slow because of Amperes. Not to worry. I recommend u to buy a usb adapter of 3Ampere. And charge with it. It charges fast .

Thanks man for the reply!
I used the MMX charger yesterday night ( and was relieved ) to find out that phone is charging 1% per 4 mins or so.
^ which I think is ok.
May be my all purpose charger isn't good enough for this phone.
And yeah - the PC USB charging is painfully slow -- like 1% every 13~15 mins!
Cheers,
Sony.

Charging of my Micromax Canvas 2 sometimes stops at 11, 22 and 32%, charging shows but does not charge further.

Battery -6 hours charging - 49%! What is wrong?

I have another problem with battery. I charge TP for 6 hours. after that time it still showing CHARGING, round light bimkning and when I enter battery, it shows 50-70% and charging! when I make soft reset it show full and stop charging, anyone knows how to fix this?, I'm worring about my battery I have oryginal rom. Thanks for reply.
I know that it is in other tread but I try to find solution
Are you using the supplied charger?
This happened to me when I tried to charge it with a Motorola V3 charger.
yes, the original charger is one amper powered which is very strong, all other chargers I have in my car or whereever output much smaller amount in milliampers (starting from 200 mA even). BUT never forget that slower charging is always better to preserve battery durability

oryginal delivered with TP
How long did you charge it the very first time?
dificult to say, i thing over 8 hours, but battery is really ok, it keeps 2-4 days.
i think i got close to an hour wait for 3/4ths charge
so prob about an hour and a half for max???
I had this same problem yesterday. It was at 30% after 4 or 5 hours of charging, then after I reset it, it was at 100%...
had same prob. Fixed after hard reset

You sure you don't mean soft reset? some people make this mistake all the time and it makes for horrible advice to n00bs.

HARD reset help
I had this problem and was hesitant to do a hard resent and have to reload and re-enter all my settings.
Turns out I was charging through USB that was connected to a cheap hub that didn't supply enough power to charge the phone. Connecting my sync-USB cable straight to the computer fixed it all.
Silly oversight but it might help somebody with the same issue.
hmm, mine started doing this a few days ago...i do remember I used to have the usb charge hooked up directly to the computer but i noticed it was now connected to the usb hub. Let's hope hooking it directly to the computer fixes it...i can't rmember when i switched it to the hub ;p
EDIT:
yep, connecting it directly to the computer fixed it
Thanks!
even charging throught eh computer is slower than plugging it into teh wall. the usb charging only sends SOME of the power to the phone and therefore takes much more time than charging through a wall outlet...
Same thing happened to my wife's TP. Using Stock 1.90. When charging it would reach 85% and stop there irregardless of how many hours I charged it after that but after using the TP car charger it would resume the charge and reach 100%. So the TP would be normal for a few days and then the same problem would occur. Don't know why though but I would use the car charger to normalise it as soft resetting doesn't work.
Where as I'm using the Stock 5.05 euro without any probs....
i to have been having problems with battery life, and ive noticed as previously mentioned a significant differance between usb and mains charging. i charge my tp every night and last month i started to leave it on the usb rather than putting it on the mains in the bedroom. it was then i noticed a drastic drop in batterly life, after a full day at work (12hr approx) and average use ( txts/emails/games/vids) i wa left with only 10-15% battery. but when i returned to mains charging the same usage now leaves me with 45-55% battery. so now i just stick to mains charging through the night. just my 2 cents
This is what solved my problems...
Turn off your phone and plug it in to the wall, wait until it is fully charged. Then you can turn your phone on, and use it like you regularly would, but use it until you run out of battery, I mean 0%, it turns off randomly. Don't charge it again till it's fully drained.
Then fully charge it again, this time don't plug the phone back in until it reaches 1 or 2%.
Hope that helps!

yep, that's because the USB does not deliver the full power to teh device. that's why charging it via the supplied charger is much more efficient and powerful and lasts longer. USB should not be used to charge unless necessary for this reason
I had the same problem with I first got my Fuze. I even tried the ritual draining and recharging but nothing worked.
So I called AT&T and they swapped my battery for a new one. Problem solved.

PHONE DOES CHARGE WITH CWM (just not showing LED)?

MODS PLEASE DELETE THIS IF YOU WANT ONCE VERIFIED
Basically i had 90 percent BAttery
I switched off the phone, Took out the battery to be sure it is completely turned off.
Plugged in my charger (im charging via PC at the moment, will test with wall charger later)
The LED Came on and then went out after 2 seconds
After ten minutes i took out the battery again and reinserted and powered on
My battery was 100 PERCENT
use battery indicator from market to check your current level or you can check it using *#*#4636#*#* and clicking battery information
Can you please check this. and post here ASAP.
Make sure your battery isnt fully charged (between 20 and 80 percent ideal), Turn off completely (pull the battery out and reinsert if you want to be sure)
Plug in your charger now
After 15 minutes
Take out battery and reinsert.
POWER ON
What is you battery now?

You can either let a friend charge your battery for you in his phone
Or
You can get a usb cable, any kind really, chop off the end that goes into the phone. There will be 4 wires exposed, you only need the red and black ones, pay no attention to the green or white wires or whatever color they are. Connect the exposed wire to the battery (to part that touches the prongs on the phone) and it will charge. All you have to do is find out on the web which of the 4 slots on the battery do what, and connect the positive (red) cable to the positive slot on the battery, and the black cable to the neg part of the battery.
In the worst case, you could charge your battery outside the phone with a power supply...
Not an easy way, especially if you're going on vacation...But it's a good thing to be aware from this!
Edit: Durps,you killed me!
my phone charge while off i see alot of people are suffering from this but mine still charge while off my led is on
The issue seems to be fixed with the official cwm recovery flashed from within rom manager.
...at least for me.

walk into a phone shop, ask them if u can charge your battery for 10 mins in one of their phones.
Say something about software crash blah blah, they usually dont care at all, and will let you.
PS to confirm is version v4.0.1.5 the good one? ie will let you use/charge your phone in the "normal" way?
update your versions of rom manager ...the dev updated the recovery and now it does charge
Just install the new CWM version 4.0.1.5 from ROM Manager to fix this (HUGE) bug

Problems with battery

First of all, my Tab 2 7.0 takes almost seven hours for a complete charge. I connect the device's USB cable to a no-name USB adapter or an Alcatel USB adapter. I can succesfully charge my device, but it takes so long!!!!! I'm tired of waiting so many hours. So, today I read that for right charging, the battery logo must show a thunder, not a red X. Everytime that I charge my device, I see the red X. But today, somehow, I saw only the thunder when I plugged it. And then, after two hours, my device was fully charged. So, I played a game about 10-15 minutes and when I pressed exit, I saw that my battery was at 60. Right now, the moment I'm writing this post, the battery is at 28%!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!! It's almost 20 minutes since then, and the battery has fallen so much. I appreciate help from everyone. Thanks for helping.

Few recommended tips:
1.Off your GPS, WIFI, DATA CONNECTION and BLUETOOTH when not in use. ( they are battery suckers)
2.Use original Samsung charger to charge your tab.
3.Watch your apps which consumes much processor and Ram, after that if they are not important just install them.
4.See your screen brightness, try to increase in daylight and decrease in nights.
5.Use power save option in your tab.
6.Try to charge your tab in switch off mode.
7.While charging don't do task, let it be only charge.
8. Charge only once a day completely without interrupt, rather than always keep on charging for few minutes and then few minutes and so on.. ( You will loose its original capability if you continue doing charging)
Apply all this and you will be charmed
Good luck.

-- this is "normal symptoms" of fully discharged battery
plug your phone to charger for about 10-12 hours
I have same symptoms...
but the battery is not discharged
phone vibrates when i press start button///and after that it starts to blink red led...
It was tested in other phone and fully charged.
That happened after the display+digitizer replacement.

Thank you!
This turned out to be true in my case.
I am using a Nubia Z9 mini BTW.
I was using my phone after about 5 days of it being kept idle.
The red circle light started flashing when i plugged in the charger.
But i let it charge for 5 minutes and i got the 1% charging symbol.
The phone has been working fine since!
Cheers!!
@wladimir_tm So when the phone is completely discharged it needs to be charged for more than 10 hours, is that what you are saying? Phone battery got over while on call. Now it's almost 8 hours since I've been charging and nothing has happened so far.
I have a same problem
I m now using red magic 5g .. i was playing pubg ..I forgot to plug charger.. after 1 % mobile turn off … when i was playing pubg .. i try to turn on after plugging charger but can’t .. i plug charger but only red notification light blinking.

one plus one charging taking forever !!!!!

I own a one plus one handset and its a year old.Since a mnth the handset is taking 4 hrs 2 charge instead of 1 hour 30 mins .I am using the og charger provided by the cmpny.Plz help!!

Try sultan rom, i used to face similar issue but once i installed sultan's rom it started working fine ( or if you have twrp recovery try wiping dalvin and cache)
or some one posted some temporary solution on oneplus forums , try this (i am copy pasting the same)
I encounter the same problem with charging time and input amp after Marshmallow update. I use Battery Monitor Widget app and notice that the current flow range from 500-900mah, which means only 50% from the adapter potential and make the charging process twice longer and at the same time the phone doesn't generate too much heat while charging.
I did factory reset, clean install the system, change the cable, format the cache partition but the problem still exist.
Later I found the solution,
1. Install the Battery Monitor Widget app to monitor the charging amp history.
2. Leave the phone charge for a while.
3. If the current flow only range from 500-900mah, unplug the charge adapter and plug it in again.
4. Leave the phone to charge again so the Battery Monitor app can record the charging amp.
5. Keep doing the same process until you get 1000+ mah.

Check if the power socket is proper also if the cable that you are using is not getting degraded. if so try with some other good quality cable and it should be back to quicker charging. Also as old your phone gets slower its charging will be due to chemical processes in a battery.
If you are rooted install Synapse app from marketplace . Go to miscellaneous section and change ac power level value to 2000 .
I have to agree with flashing another ROM.
Try jgcaaps' Marshmallow build from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-cm-12-builds-t3045053
Then download Kernel Adiutor mod from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/kernel-adiutor-mod-singularity-kernel-t3333549
Set up the ROM then the Kernel mod next.
Run the Adiutor Mod and click the 3 line menu.
Scroll down to Power & Battery.
Change the AC Charge Level to 1800.
Change the USB Charge Level to 800.
These charge levels are ideal to extend the battery life. I hope this helps.
Try another decent cord. The cord I got with my oneplus power bank thing started charging very slowly a few months ago so I threw it away and started using the USB I got with my nexus 7. It works just as well as it used to now
