Hi all, this is my first post. I tried searching and browsing for a similar post on the forums and on the web but couldn't find anything.
So here's the problem...
I would like to install the unofficial CyanogenMod 7 (found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263292) on my Samsung Galaxy Ace (v2.3.4 DDKQ5) without having to use Clockwork Recovery in any way. I have used Odin to flash the 2.3.4 firmware to my device and I was wondering if I could use this (or a similar tool) to flash CM 7 without altering the recovery image?
Please can someone tell me whether this is at all possible and if so provide some help to get me started?

hello, this is my first post on XDA so please correct me if im in the wrong section. but, heres the story. Earlier tonight, i decided to do some editing to my build.prop.. my stupidity lead me to completely replace it with the build.prop from a different device (Xperia Play) and i ended up soft-bricking my phone. I would have just factory reset my phone, but a few months ago i decided to format my SD card without backing up my update.zip, so now im stuck with a bricked phone with no way to reset. ive tried using KDZ but i cant seem to get it to even open. So im just hoping someone someone could either walk me through unbricking my phone, or give me the stock update.zip,, I would really appreciate it as I need my phone by tuesday :/ PLEASEEE HELP! thanks -MansonDroid

HTC Wildfire S (VM) "s-off" "rooted" Stock Rom
Hi few days back my phone (LG P500) was bricked. I got it working, that is now running Stock ROM.Then I rooted it with a tool named 'antdking's LG p500 rooting tool v1.0' . Now when i am trying to install recovery, both manually and using ROM manager, on Reboot my phone is flashing back to 'Factory Settings' (of course Unrooted and wiped data).
Whats The problem ?. Is it problem with Rooting, or something else ?. Please help guys, I am sick of using Stock ROM after using Custom ROMs for more than a year.

It didnt help...same problem. I had tried it earlier, tried it again now. but sadly didnt work for me

Now there has been a development in my issue.. My phone isnt recognizing any sim card.
Now i think screw Recovery, screw Custom ROMs i just want my phone back.
Please help guys..none of the above methods are working for me:crying:

Seems like when flashing a rom all of my partitions were erased and aren't recognized at all anymore and I have scoured everywhere trying to find an answer and I can't find anything. Please help.

Follow the procedure outlined here to reset your phone to the stock firmware, then try flashing again. This always works for me as I have screwed up multiple times. Hope this helps.
