hello, this is my first post on XDA so please correct me if im in the wrong section. but, heres the story. Earlier tonight, i decided to do some editing to my build.prop.. my stupidity lead me to completely replace it with the build.prop from a different device (Xperia Play) and i ended up soft-bricking my phone. I would have just factory reset my phone, but a few months ago i decided to format my SD card without backing up my update.zip, so now im stuck with a bricked phone with no way to reset. ive tried using KDZ but i cant seem to get it to even open. So im just hoping someone someone could either walk me through unbricking my phone, or give me the stock update.zip,, I would really appreciate it as I need my phone by tuesday :/ PLEASEEE HELP! thanks -MansonDroid

Hi im new to this rooting stuff and i need some help bad I got a g1 and it was in donut 1.6..i read a thread that said i had to get it back to a 1.5 firmware and after i did that i wasnt able to one click root it. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!! for some reason my file manager wasnt accepting the flash recovery image and now my fone is stuck with no on screen keyboard and camcorder..Im sorry if this thread has already been answered but i couldnt find anything to help..any help is much appreciated THANKS!!
hi, You could go over to cyanogen's wiki and start over. here is the link http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Full_Update_Guide_-_G1/Dream_Firmware_to_CyanogenMod , just make sure you read it over a couple of time's cause there is a chance of bricking your device. Oh and when you get to the part a bout the signed-dream_devphone_userdebug-ota-14721.zip HTC took the link's off for some reason but you can find them at http://www.mediafire.com/?zywmn354kre , or if that one doesn't work for you there is http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BYJBWHAB. I'll say it one more time make sure you read it over and over, and make sure you understand what it say's to do before doing it. Lot's of people have bricked there phone's for not following direction's, and it's no one's fault but your own. Other than that if you have any questions just ask, and ill be sure to help.
Ok so I'm totally new to this and I have no idea what I'm doing, but I hope you guys can help. I got a mytouch 4g already installed with this ROM manager clockworld or something...it wasnt reading my sd card so I took it to the store and basically found out its basically a software etc...well my phone is just stuck on this start up screen. I tried to erase stuff the cache, etc...still doesn't work. it just shows that hat with the arrow under it. other than that it goes to the htc android screen. I'm so lost somebody help me please!!!!
Plug in the SD card elsewhere, throw a different rom/zip file on it, flash the new rom.
take it easy.flash a stock rom,it will be ok.

Having the same problem...got the T-Mobile mytouch 4g LG e739 a week ago, and after I rooted it, I forgot to backup my files and uninstalled a program that I wasn't supposed to. Lesson learned. Now I'm in the process of finding out how to flash a rom onto my phone so I can fix the error of my ways. I'll update this as soon as I find out how!
hey whats up xda. im new to the website, and i had a couple of questions i had, and some stuff i needed help on. A MILLION sorrys if i posted this in the wrong place.
Well i have a HTC ONE V from virgin mobile, i rooted it about 4 months ago, i installed a custom recovery on it too, but whenever i go on it i can only use the side keys to move up and down but i cant select anything. i dont know if i maybe installed the wrong recovery? (got it from a guide on android forums) i was afraid to do anything else, because alot of people that installed custom roms and theyre stuck on the HTC screen, i need my phone for work, so i cant afford having it rendered "unusable" haha.
Ant suggestions on what to do?

Try to reboot your phone into recovery than factory reset your phone and wipe out both caches and finally reflash the ROM. Hope so, it will work.
Long story short i lost my back ups and took it into sprint, they guy said it was possible to fix but im not skilled in this. The phone doest come up on the computer but it makes the attempt to install drivers even though i updated the lg drivers. Im very scared i made a paperweight.
All the searches ive made have broken links an i can ever understand what they want me to do. Links to threads with info on the basics an if possible a exact tut of how i can restore a stock rom an just make my phone work
Please i am way over my head an really need help.

Terribly sorry this is my first post here and im looking for something, been reading through the site for the past few months but never registered.
I recently bought a HTC One M7, updated to 4.4.2 but rooted so i cannot get OEM updates.
It has ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.4.8 istalled, busybox and SuperSu.
Im trying to unroot it and get it back to factory standard, its not for the warranty that really doesnt matter to me.
I just need some expert guidance if possible and just to be pointed in the right direction would be more then enough as there is so much information to try and retain lol.
I have been browsing through threads but im terrified i end up doing something wrong and bricking my phone.
Im living in Ireland and my phone was supplied by an operator called 'Meteor' so im a bit confused as to what method to take and where to get the exact oem stock software that will enable me to get back and let me update past 4.4.2
If anyone could link me a few threads or help in any way that would point me in the guaranteed right direction would be great, and also any information where i could get the exact file file i need to flash to get it back to stock, i understand the radio etc needs to correspond with my network operator.
