hey whats up xda. im new to the website, and i had a couple of questions i had, and some stuff i needed help on. A MILLION sorrys if i posted this in the wrong place.
Well i have a HTC ONE V from virgin mobile, i rooted it about 4 months ago, i installed a custom recovery on it too, but whenever i go on it i can only use the side keys to move up and down but i cant select anything. i dont know if i maybe installed the wrong recovery? (got it from a guide on android forums) i was afraid to do anything else, because alot of people that installed custom roms and theyre stuck on the HTC screen, i need my phone for work, so i cant afford having it rendered "unusable" haha.
Ant suggestions on what to do?

Need Help With HTC ONE V (Virgin Mobile)
Try to reboot your phone into recovery than factory reset your phone and wipe out both caches and finally reflash the ROM. Hope so, it will work.

i need urgent help guys...i had a custom rom installed runnymede..something like that v3.3.
Im new to the business...
recently rooted and was over-excited so this past week i had been doing all sorts of stuff, tried couple of roms,,..and others, i finally settled with the one i mentioned above.
now on top of that i thought of installing this., so i downloaded this, pasted this to my sd card and went into recovery mode and install from sd card, and selected this.
it got installed, then i did a reboot but since then , ihve been struck on the home screen...
all i keep seeing is
"HTC Sense has sopped working unexpectdley"...on top of the box is written, "%1$s is now running"..
everytime i click on " Return to %1$s"....as there is no other option....it just pps straight back up.
i tried going into recovery mode, then restore, but it said something like file type not matched or somehting like MD5...something like that...dont exactlt remember..pretty much ****** up rite now.
i tried doing that couple of times...nothing worked out.
i am totally freaked out....now pls can anyone help me find a way out...ill do anything, just tell me how do i either remove either sense or this rom...anything..
one more thing, --- i cant access home menu, so that means cant acces any of the apps..except the settings menu(which i can access through quick settings dropdown menu)...pls , for gods sake anyone help me out...
its 5 in the morning here, i cant sleep...just the fact what im gonna do tomorrow scares me....pls help me out..
and on my part, as you can assume by the language and style...im really freaked out,....so on top of that i did a factory reset....just adding to the misery...pls anyone help me.
im in need of desperate help, just a noob...but pls help me..:-(

Go to recovery, Do a factory reset, then reinstall the Rom.. any rom

hello, this is my first post on XDA so please correct me if im in the wrong section. but, heres the story. Earlier tonight, i decided to do some editing to my build.prop.. my stupidity lead me to completely replace it with the build.prop from a different device (Xperia Play) and i ended up soft-bricking my phone. I would have just factory reset my phone, but a few months ago i decided to format my SD card without backing up my update.zip, so now im stuck with a bricked phone with no way to reset. ive tried using KDZ but i cant seem to get it to even open. So im just hoping someone someone could either walk me through unbricking my phone, or give me the stock update.zip,, I would really appreciate it as I need my phone by tuesday :/ PLEASEEE HELP! thanks -MansonDroid
Try asking this question in the specific forum, if you have a lg optinmus then ask your question in Q&A under the optimus forum im sure they can help you out
HTC Wildfire S (VM) "s-off" "rooted" Stock Rom
Hi friends
im new here so this is my second post considering my earlier one i got no reply, what i want is help from any android expert in solving my problem. see i recently got the HTC one X plus and unlocked the bootloader, and installed clockwork mod recovery and rooted my phone. now when i receive the offical jb ota update, i cannot update it and it says error and i abort the installation and then reboot the phone in clockwork mod. and by the way all this unlocking and rooting is done thanks to Hasoons2000 tool kit, bless that developer who made this toolkit. so after researching reading many forums and find out that we have to use stock recovery image for htc one +. to fix the problem , i cant find any One X + stock recovery image all i can see are htc one X stock recovery image. but i need the one specific to my phone model.
Also it would be of great help if you show me the process of using stock recovery on hasoons2000 toolkit for oneX+
Since i dont want to risk bricking my expensive phone. so guys if you have the solution to my problem please do help me out.!!

why isnt anyone replying, or are you guys not having the said phpne. its one X + cmmon htc and right now im one of the lucky three to get it , since only 3 piece was there at my place.

I am a complete novice at playing with android phones but thought i`d have a play. I bought a htc one m7 that was not working and sent it to htc to repair which they did but ,apparently the phone had been bootloaded and they put this back on the repaired phone. Hence when i got it back , it all worked but i could not make calls. Sooo after reading some forums i tried to put a new rom on it, Android Hd one 84.0. Now the phone is stuck in a boot/recovery loop and is not recognised on my computer!! i`ve tried to adb sideload but this doesnt seem to load. Unfortunatley i didnt back up the the data before i done all this. Please help as im using an iphone and its killing me!!!!

Maybe it's just a bootloop and not a brick.
(Bootloop = neverending booting process, brick = either the download or the recovery mode doesn't work any more)

Thanks. Have tried all of your suggestions but no joy. Having read the suggestions I noticed it said about re locking the boot loader before installing a rom? If i say exactly what I done maybe I somebody may be able to tell me my errors?
Unlocked using htcdev and rooted. Tried to get s-off using rum runner but it failed with a message"unfortunatley this isn't going to work out with your configure, you have 2 options
1) flash an unsecure kernel that's compatible with your rom
2)flash a different rom.
Have tried to reinstall Android hd one 84.0 from recovery mode, Get a message on installation page at the end saying set_metadata_recursive:some changes failed.
On reboot it goes straight to recovery page and if I go into fast boot the phone shows in the device manager but not as a drive???

Hello my name is frans.
To start off, this is my first post. i have always looked for anwser here and always worked, never had any problems with rooting flashing or anything with phones.
Until now, i got a HTC Desire S (HBOOT- 2.02.002) And i am just about done with it.
I have been searching for about 20+ hours (Very sure i have spend more time on it) finding a ROM of android 4.3+ that works, i have been trying to flash every single rom for the phone and most of them fail or they succeed but then i get stuck on the HTC logo EVERY DAMN TIME.
Only specs i got is that it's on S-ON, the bootloader says *********** Unlocked ************
I have flashed boot.img's after flashing with the recovery.
Wiped dalvik and EVERY SINGLE MAP on the phone.
I have done everything in every gudie of android roms 4.3+ beside getting a downgrade of the HBOOT because when i try it fails every time.
It's like the phone wont even upgrade to 4.3 while there are many roms and devices that do have 4.3+
The reason i need 4.3+? I got an LG smartwatch eb71e It needs android wear for 4.3+, i paid about 80 for it and didnt really overlook specs.
I really want to get it to work.
Also the phone wont boot anymore only into the bootloader and recovery.
If you need any information about it i'd suggest you ask (Preferably how to find that piece of info you need too)
I hope that someone somewhere can help me because i am expecting some very important calls and i cant be reached because i cant get the thing to work. (broke cant afford a new phone)
