[Q] Install CyanogenMod without using Clockworkmod recovery - General Questions and Answers

Hi all, this is my first post. I tried searching and browsing for a similar post on the forums and on the web but couldn't find anything.
So here's the problem...
I would like to install the unofficial CyanogenMod 7 (found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263292) on my Samsung Galaxy Ace (v2.3.4 DDKQ5) without having to use Clockwork Recovery in any way. I have used Odin to flash the 2.3.4 firmware to my device and I was wondering if I could use this (or a similar tool) to flash CM 7 without altering the recovery image?
Please can someone tell me whether this is at all possible and if so provide some help to get me started?
Thanks in advance guys!

Theoreticly possible yes, something you will be easily able to do?
Probably not.

Ok, thanks for the info Any ideas as to where I could find out more?

I haven't been able to find any info on this anywhere. Any and all help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
I've heard from some people that you can Flash a Nandroid you've made on your phone, but they didn't tell me how because they "FORGOT"!
I have not tried it yet, but here is a thread that seems to explain how to accomplish what you are trying to do...

[Q] Howto flash custom rom

Hi everyone, thanks for the help given!
Attempting to help a friend install a custom rom on his droid 2 global.
I have the phone permarooted and installed the rom manager.
It appears that i need to install the bootloader/recovery, but the site links appear to be down unless I want to get it from the market. Could someone point me to them? I don't necessarily trust 3rd part sites hosting this..
Do i NEED to install the SBF in order to get to a custom rom? It appears that the major rom for this device is the fusion rom?
I am familiar with clockwork. Am I able to use the cwm app and recovery?
Is there anything specific I need to know before attempting to flash a rom?
(did a lot of looking before posting, just need some clarity)
Thanks again!

[Q] Got a question about recovery images

Good day to everyone here on XDA. I'm a Noob and I need your help.
My question is about recovery images.
Can you build your own recovery?
I came up with this question because of my problem on my phone. I messed up with my phone's recovery and i dont know how to fix it.
My phone is a Cherry Mobile Click W120. Hardware MT6575. My problem started when I tried to flash a Universal CWMR to it and unfortunately, I failed. Now, it doesnt have a recovery mode anymore. Searched about a million times for a solution, flashed hundreds of recoveries via mobileuncle(cwmr, twrp, amon ra, even stock ones) but still no luck.
So, is there any way to build your own recovery? Or do we have a recovery image out there which is compatible to this device?
I hope someone will respond to a noob like me. But still, im hoping someone can help me.
I will appreciate any kind of reply. Either negative or positive. Another question, is it possible to ask someone for the recovery image who also uses the same unit that i'm using? then flash it on my phone?
I'm no expert but I'll try to explain it to you.
1st question: yes, you can, since all custom recovery images are made from source, you can find out more here: http://xda-university.com/as-a-developer/porting-clockworkmod-recovery-to-a-new-device
2nd question: you can find a custom recovery image for popular devices, but you won't find it for every android device out there.
3rd question: he must have the image, if it's already flashed into the phone, I don't think that it can be extracted. you can also flash the stock recovery image if you find it. I can't help you there tho.
Now, I did some searches on the forum and google but I didn't find any CWM recovery image for your mobile phone..
Hit thanks button if this helps you in any way. Cheers !

Please try searching before making these posts. It's plainly stated in the forum rules. With that said, please view the LG Optimus One FAQ. It contains everything you need to know and then some.

[Galaxy J1 SM-J100mu] root / supersu / twrp / signature problem

Allright. I've spent hours and hours reading about this and I'm afraid I didn't manage to find anything useful.
I own this model of samsung galaxy which isn't listed at all in any device list of twrp nor any custom-anything. So what I most managed to do was entering into stock recovery mode and try to install Supersu from the sdcard. Which lead to the failed-signature problem.
So here's my question; Is there any way of disable signature request in stock recovery mode? or maybe sign the apk so it handles it properly? The best solution would be to get a compatible version of twrp but I don't know..it doesn't seem to exist. I already tried some other J1 SM-Jxxx versions but they don't work. It just get stuck in samsung logo and no recovery mode loads ever.
Thank you very much for reading, I hope you can help me. I'm no expert.
Or I could try to find the most similar device to mine, so I can look for a TRWP prepared for that device and see if it also works in mine, hopefully. Any ideas?
Asu
What is your galaxy model actually? Maybe there will be more help coming if we know your device model
