Finding my serial on refurbished Skyrocket - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I'm trying to find out my serial number on a Refurbished Skyrocket. I had to get the IMEI fixed (darn repartition), so it's working alright. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the serial number is right or not. The only thing printed on the back is the IMEI and SKU.
Right now, it's showing an 8 character serial number. On my Note2, it has a serial number much longer. Is it correct?

serial number for htc fuze

I have an HTC Fuze that is a prototype that was given to me by my employer, I can't get the upgrade without a serial number and the serial number on mine is a dummy serial. I tried to use it and it won't work. I really need the serial number of an HTC Fuze so I can upgrade. I would use one of the "cooked" versions but if it screws up the phone I am in big trouble at work. Could anyone give me a serial number to use?

How to tell the batch number (ht17, ht18...)?

Hey guys,
I'm going into T-Mobile in about 20 minutes to get my phone exchanged due to a defect. Someone mentioned to make sure I got the newest batch number (ht18?) How can I tell the batch number? Is it found within the serial number?
Yes, it's the first numbers/letters of the serial

Will N5 work on ATT?

I heard that it is not "officially supported" on ATT. Will I be able to get an ATT prepaid SIM card and use it on N5 in the US?
It should work with ATT.
I've basically asked the same thing here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2508100
Im trying to understand what IMEI number to give them when I sign up. Will they take the Nexus number or do I need to visit a store and "find" an IMEI from an ATT LTE phone?

Any reason why you'd even want to give them an IMEI number? I haven't given AT&T any numbers for this Z1 I'm on and it's working perfectly. If you mean for a new activation, you may not need to give them one. I'll get in touch with a friend to see what's needed.

The Nexus 5 is fully compatible with all the ATT frequencies. I don't think there should be anything to worry about as far as the IMEI goes, there is no reason the IMEI number on the label of your Nexus 5 box shouldn't work.
The only time you should have to worry about the IMEI is when you're buying a used phone off of cragslist or ebay, because if someone stole the phone or defaulted on their account, the IMEI can be blacklisted by the service provider.

You can't "find" an IMEI number. Their unique to each phone. You can spoof them but it's not legal or ethical. It's also not something an average user is even going to be able to understand. Use the one from the N5. It will work fine.

How can i check Nexus 5 Serial No?

I am going to buy a second hand Nexus 5, but the seller does not have its box, so i cant check the serial number. I wonder if the serial number is on the simcard tray like my nexus 4. Could anyone who owns nexus 5 check it for me?

Open this link by replacing the xxxxxxxxxx with the phone's imei, then check the <msn>311K*********</msn> lines.

Probably, he meant the serial number started with the manufacture date and not the s.n. seen in ADB or fastboot.

Thank you bitdomo, yes I wanted to check that nexus 5 lot not to be 310. That solution works well.
The seller told me the nexus 5 he sell is from lg thailand, but when I check the imei he gave me, it is a nexus 5 from the us. You save me from cheating :good:

[Q] Trouble unlocking my bootloader

My Transformer Infinity was working fine for 2 years and suddenly gave up. Had to get the motherboard replaced.
After that, I am not able to unlock my bootloader using the ASUS unlock tool. I get that dreaded "An unknown error occurs...".
I checked for the serial number of the device - it says "unknown". I am thinking this is the reason why I am not able to unlock.
I tried ratchet to fix the serial number - but when I don't know the serial number, I cannot fix it right??
Anyone can help me out here?
Was the repair done under warranty or through an Asus repair facility?
If yes, I would contact them and demand they replace the m-board with one that actually has a serial number. Which bin did they pull it out of????
If you got the board on ebay or some such, I'm afraid you're SOL.
Unlocking after m-board replacement is tricky anyhow due to the serial# and mac address not matching what Asus has in their database, but that is something they could fix if they wanted to. But no serial at all????
Warranty was over by that time. It was an authorized asus centre.
Ya, the serial number shows as unknown only! They said only three months warranty for motherboard.
