I have the 32GB version.
I rooted it and installed original rom from google and franco kernel.
I just realized that "storage"shows that device only has 12.55GB total storage!

Think I'm having the same issue. This is what mine looks like. Any luck?
It's labeled with a 0 at the end because in 4.1 multi user accounts are incorporated. So the 0 stands for the first account and so on. At least that's what i read somewhere but i can't recall. Hope this helps!
This is just how linux (on which Android is based) operating systems work. The first position is 0, thus your internal sd card is sdcard0. I don't have a definitive answer as to why there are multiple UsbDevice folders listed there but mine (and many others) have these as well, so I think it's just part of the inner workings of Android and the device itself. Nothing to worry about
Didn't multiuser only come with 4.2? But you have other folders to take place for any storage devices connected via otg

I noticed this as well. When trying to restore with TB it said it had no files. the backup was found is sdcard/0/0
Here, OP - I'll help you with your OP:
I flashed a 4.1.2 ROM and didn't read the directions, nor did I Google "why is my sdcard labeled 0?" -- can someone answer this for me since I neglected to read the OP or search for the answer that has been answered countless times since 4.1.2 dropped?
You're welcome.

Hello all,
So I just picked up a Galaxy Note 10.1 today and of course I went to root it. I found instructions on several sites and they are all the same, so I figured I would just do it. I went with the instructions at http://rootgalaxynote.com/ and here is the issue:
I copied the SU file to the internal storage and took the MicroSD out just to be sure.
I booted into the unit using the power+volume down and then hit the power up to continue.
Got the downloading screen and ran Odin. Selected the "highonandroid..." into PDA and hit start. It went through and showed it was successful/passed.
I rebooted and then held down the power+up volume until the logo appeared and then let go of the power but continued holding the power up button per the instructions.
Instead of going into CWM it goes into "Android system recovery <3e>" with a dead Android dude with the red exclamation point.
The unit still boots fine into Android, but when I repeated the above steps it shows:
Product Name: GT-N8013
Custom Binary Downloaded: Yes (4 counts) (yes, tried it 4 times to see if I was just doing something wrong)
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Now I did buy this tablet used, so I don't know what the previous owner might have done, but it seems what I'm doing should work regardless.
I've been Googling and searching here for about 2 hours now and I can't find anything that talks about this issue or what I can do to fix it. Would love to get this back to ground zero with a factory image but I can't even find the N8013 image. I looked on the sammobile.com site or whatever and only see the N8010 which might not be the same.
So if there is anyone that can help, I sure would appreciate it!

The problem seemed to be installing CWM. All of the other websites missed one key step that I noticed slightly different on here. So to help others in my dilemma, I'll point it out here.
When you go to use Odin to install CWM, turn off the checkbox for auto-reboot. Then, instead of rebooting, hold down the power and volume up key until it reboots and you get the logo. Then release the power button but keep pressing the volume up key.
Doing this allowed me to get into CWM and flash the SU zip file.
Hope this helps others. I'm going to have to send Zedomax a note to update his video!
Glad you got it working..

Yes unless you boot into CWM immediately after installing ODIN the system will override the stock recovery
Hey guys I kinda fubar my phone. Maybe one of you can help me. So I was messing with my phone today trying to install a different rom than cm10 and I wasn't thinking or something and I erased my phone. I don't have any roms for me to access on the phone and there is no os. The erase also got ride of my backup. My computer sees my phone but i can't see any files. I can boot to twrp and see the files but i'm guessing since i don't have the debug option clicked off I won't be able to move a rom to it. The phone tries to boot but since there is no OS it just get stuck at the white htc screen.
Is there any way to flash my phone using my computer?
is there a way to move a rom to the phone so i can load it using twrp?
sorry for being a noob. I've been a iphone user until this htc one x. I love it btw. I should have switched sooner. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance. :crying:
Mount in twrp and drag a Rom over you may have to mount your sd
Try dragging and dropping the zip file from your computer to SD. Use TWRP to flash zip. If you can find a rom you like with Aroma installer it should make the process less painful and you will not have to flash boot image.
HTC One X
4.1.1
Viper XL 3.1.0
If your completely wiped, I imagine you did a factory reset in boot loader, which probably corrupted SD... If the above advice doesn't work, you'll have to mount in twrp, and format SD... Then drag ROM onto phone and flash... Good luck

How do you transfer files to your SD card though when it doesn't let you connect it to your PC as a storage device?
Am I missing something regarding the mount feature of TWRP?

You do not have to connect your phone as a storage device. You can connect your phone to the computer while it is in fastboot.
Your computer will still see it.
AT&T HTC OneX
Android 4.1.1
ViperXL
Since your a new, flash the ViperXL JB ROM that one flashes the boot.IMG for you. It will be less of a pain that way. Good Luck

So this is exactly what I did...
I've followed the directions for the ViperOne S ROM word for word, and after I run the batch file for the boot flash and go to reboot, it tells me there is no OS every time. I wish this was as easy as it was for the original Galaxy S.....

Yes, every device is very different, and specific ROMs can have their own issues as well. Somebody here can easily give you advice that doesn't apply to your device, and cause you to brick. Just post in the correct forum section for your device. There is no reason to post here.

Does anyone have Boost ics stock rom? My bootloader is unlocked and I have cwm but s-on. I don't have a way to get on a pc. Can I install through recovery with a nandroid or a .zip with s-on?
Sorry I didn't mean to post this in this thread. I'm not sure how to move it..
A moderator has to move it upon request. Yes, one is available on here, but you are S-On so you may have to pull the boot file from the backup, change name to boot.img then flash it using fastboot (which requires a pc)
However, I haven't been S-On in a long time so I could be wrong about the boot.img...
@russellvone could you elaborate for me.

Thanks for the quick reply! I know flashing probably wouldn't work and I already tried to use a jb nandroid from my brothers phone which didn't work which is why I was wondering if a stock ics unrooted would work
I'm not real sure what happened. All I did was do factory reset in cwm and now its stuck on the HTC quietly brilliant
Haha, that's simple, when you did a factory reset in CWM you formatted your partitions. Your boot.img is still intact but you have nothing on your data, system, etc so there is nothing to load which is why you are not getting past the screen. Only do a factory reset in a custom recovery when like flashing a Rom for example. Which version OS were you on originally before you wiped your phone out ....

I don't have an ICS backup, but I know @russellvone does. He keeps stuff like this on hand for just a situation like this one. However, you should only need to flash the system.img and be good after that. I recommend doing an OTA update in your settings once you get your device back up and going. We will be receiving 4.2.2 with Sense 5 soon.
Anyways, I tagged him as you can see. Just visit back here periodically to see if he replied back. He will, I guarantee you that. He will help you restore your device

You can use a JB backup but you will need the firmware.zip that comes in the JB OTA to flash in rebootRUU to complete the process on your device.
I sent a pm to russellvone about the situation so when he responds he should already be good to go to help you out.

Yeah I've been checking this off and on. You guys are life savers!! Thanks alot!
Your boot.img is still intact so flashing that Rom should get you booted up just fine. If for any reason you get stuck on the HTC screen then you will need to extract the boot.img and flash it with fastboot (however that shouldn't be necessary since you are still on stock boot.img for ICS)

You still can do with the thread instruction to root, what is important is what comes after.
Make sure you flash latest recovery for your devices after rooting, and then you'll happy to use any rom you like!
