Auto Awesome! - Moto X Themes and Apps

Has anyone used it yet? I had fun doing it. Its simple and lots of options. Check mine out.
Edit: the pictures were taken with a HTC One when I had it, some images are the Zoe feature. Which I kind of miss.

i used it a bit last night. pretty nice that you can manually add in whateverr you want. but id like for it to have something more than just a thirty second max.

You can make it longer. There's a button to adjust the length

I like the idea of auto awesome but what I really want is a manual awesome that I could select a few photos and what I want to do with them and then have an awesome pic or gif or whatever.

what's with all the permission requests with this app?
gps, sms, record audio ....
are they needed for something?

TMZBEME,
I took the stock Android camera, so this app has the exact same permissions. GPS is because the stock camera allows you to geotag photos, record audio is a remnant from the video recording, which I could do away with.
hunterp,
That is and awesome and very creative video! Kudos to you for a great sense of humor and a way to introduce your app. I will certainly keep your app in mind (how could I not? ). Very nicely done.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the encouragement!!
Have you seen Android's new official app webpages? You can actually click the install button on the webpage (on any computer!!!) and the app downloads on your phone....amazing....
I have two versions of Big Camera Button which you can obtain using the new web buttons at:
http://www.bigcamerabutton.com/
Thanks!!
I removed the logo from all versions of the free app. Now the free app is really usefull
Woo what an innovative app. Lets make a big button and charge $0.99 for it lol.
Well, it was a response to my first app which is quite innovative. Its called Shout n' Snap http://shoutnsnap.com the thing is, its socially awkward sometimes to yell at your phone. Therefore, the natural step is to make a silent version.

[Q] Screen Shots

Does anyone know any other apps that can take screen shots with a rooted phone besides PicMe and ShootMe?
http://www.androidcentral.com/taking-screenshots-without-root
Shootme in market.
I like Screen Shot It, available in the market, but like anything its all about personal preference. I had issues with Shootme, but many love it.
Try em all, pick your favorite.
Yes, I agree with Bella. Screen Shot It is really good. Has the option to save as JPEG or PNG. Really easy to use also.

The only downside is it buries the images, which I can't for the life of me find a way to point the save-to directory elsewhere. But small price to pay for a solid app in my opinion.

Yes, this is true. It does allow you to crop, share or save the screenshot after its done. Share option is handy if you want to post it on facebook, flickr, email, mms.....
Edit: Also, the screenshot images show up in gallery so this way you don't have to go digging for the images.

[V1.2 available now]HiddenEye - Awesome app to catch your phone snoopers red handed !

New Version 1.2 now available...
What's in this version:
* Improved photo capture method.
* Larger images
* Bug fixes
* Performance improvements
* Reduced file size (now only 570KB)
Ever wanted to know who has tried snooping into your phone while you were away. Your friends or family member might have tried to unlock your phone while you are away. HiddenEye is a simple app with no frills that will photograph the person when they try to unlock your phone. You can set it to sound alarm when a user tries to unlock your phone without your knowledge.
Now you can see who is trying to use your phone while you are away. Once you unlock your phone, you will be shown the photographs of the people who tried unlocking your phone in your absence. Sounds interesting ! Try it and let us know if you have any suggestion to improve it further.
Worried that your phone does not have front camera. With HiddenEye, now you can know the someone has tried to snoop into your phone. You can also set alarm if someone is trying to unlock your phone with wrong password. If you have a front camera, then you can see who tried unlocking your phone.
Download this FREE now from Google Play

Some feedback from my GT-N7000 Galaxy Note on ICS + Speedmod kernal,
Sometimes when imputed a correct pattern after an incorrect one quickly enough, the pic will appear black.
Pictures appear sideways on my phone, it went 90 degrees clockwise.
Deleting photos still show them. (some cache?)
Well, quite minor, the app is featherweight and does its job without glitz.
Will love to know where is the output of photos taken (maybe I can set up a sync to Dropbox via Dropsync).
Thanks for this amazing app.

Thank you Markuzy for your feedback. There is newer version (v1.01) that has this picture issue fixed. It should not show without 90 rotate. Let me know if it happens again after the update.
About the delete issue, thanks for pointing it out. Let me check and fix it.
The pictures are not stored on the file system, its in the app database, hence you cannot view it directly from any other viewer. Intention was to keep the images secure. About dropbox, i can add that sync option in one of the next releases. Thank you for your opinion.

Thank you guys for your opinion.. I am working on syncing the photos to dropbox. One of the near future releases will have this included. Appreciate if you can leave your feedback and rating on google play if you have liked my work. Please feel free to spread the word to your acquaintances..
Just saving the photos in the regular camera folder should do it, as dropbox already has the ability to upload any incoming photo into that folder

Would be nice but we have to work with what we have for now.
I wish I would be able to transform completely the look of the sms app to look somewhat like the clean design present on htc sense. I hate lg UI it really looks terrible, cartoonesk **** and huge font. Lg design is so 90s, I seriously hate it badly! I

I have used HandcentSMS for a couple years now. They have a lot of add on things for it, from color, to seasonal themes. All sorts of things you can do with it. And it is Free.

Yeah, I've used Handcent on every android device I've had, going way back to my HTC Incredible. I may go back again, but I'm kind of enjoying the Stock experience on my G2.
To be honest, I never even tried the stock sms app. I just kept using handcentsms.

awesome mms apk

Just wanted to share this link. This MMS app works perfectly on my moto x and gives you total control with all color options.
It's a lot like 8sms but with a hex editor. Anyway, I'm super thankful to the folks that made it and even though it's on the nexus 5
theme page it works fine on my rooted moto x. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536197
Thanks for sharing. It works great on my Moto X Dev.Ed. too.
Just tested on Verizon Moto X and everything seems to work perfectly, even with the motorola connect extension, which seemed to have issues with other messenger replacements.
Nice Find. Work perfectly on my Verizon DE Moto X.
Thanks. I'm permanently using this now. A dark themed bubble

Not that I know of. Picture quality seems to me, linked and about the same as just using the regular camera app. The X's camera has taught me patiences... just standing there waiting for it to get the focus just right. If I shoot too quick I tend to get less than quality shots. All in all I have huge amount of disparity between one shot to the next. Maybe someone else knows.

Thanks. I went back to the stock MMS and it seems picture messages are fine. The shots I take are clear but when you send them through the customized MMS apk it's all blurred out and looks very, very unreadable.
