[Q] Screen Shots - HTC Inspire 4G

Does anyone know any other apps that can take screen shots with a rooted phone besides PicMe and ShootMe?

http://www.androidcentral.com/taking-screenshots-without-root

Shootme in market.

I like Screen Shot It, available in the market, but like anything its all about personal preference. I had issues with Shootme, but many love it.
Try em all, pick your favorite.

Yes, I agree with Bella. Screen Shot It is really good. Has the option to save as JPEG or PNG. Really easy to use also.

The only downside is it buries the images, which I can't for the life of me find a way to point the save-to directory elsewhere. But small price to pay for a solid app in my opinion.

Yes, this is true. It does allow you to crop, share or save the screenshot after its done. Share option is handy if you want to post it on facebook, flickr, email, mms.....
Edit: Also, the screenshot images show up in gallery so this way you don't have to go digging for the images.

I use dropcap2

Android Gallery Problem

I took a picture a few days ago and don't need it anymore. I fire up the gallery on my Nexus, hold on the pic and delete. Done deal. Except I wait a few minutes, open the gallery and there is the same picture I just deleted. My Nexus is stock.
Suggestions?

That's weird that it's doing that. You could always go into the folder on your SD card and delete it that way (should be under DCIM, you could use a file explorer like Astro or just mount your SD card). But that could become annoying for all pictures you need to delete.
Quote using the stock gallery and install quickpic. Best move I ever made for photos.

Playing with quickpic now. Thanks.
Still, not to be an ornery cuss? I really shouldn't have a problem like this. Clean it up Google. A minor annoyance, at best, but its the small stuff that makes people fall in love with your platform.
Maybe this special luck picture
just go to settings, application, manage application, find there gallery, clean data...
Quickpic is the best viewer in android fast and stable !
Sent from my Nexus S
Think the first problem is you've not rooted, second would be stock gallery. Like everyone else has mentioned Quikpix is miles better at actually functioning as a viewer.
The stock ROM is functional the CM7 ROM is much better even though it's only in Release Candidate at the moment. Once the full version is released they should add extra features like CM6 on my old Desire. (tip: I've learnt from reading these forums on a daily basis that its not a good idea to ask when it will be fully released which is fair enough as they do it all pro bono)
Note if you do flash a ROM
Can be quite tricky unlocking bootloader as you have to make changes to you Windows or which ever OS you run on your comp. Well worth it though and my phone works a hell of a lot better now.

[Q] facebook update 1.6.0!! New 'Pages' feature...

There was a facebook for android update this evening. It said 'added pages', however I dont see that feature anywhere in the new update. Is any of you seeing the pages in your new facebook update?
Video uploading is now supported too. Where is that?
that sucks. I always wonder why iOS fb app is superior to Android fb app.
This is the worst android app, nothing more than a web app.

video upload can be found by tapping the camera at the top of your newsfeed.

Yeah exactly.... many users( even me as a page owner) were thinking if their efforts could be way easy on it... but it didn't helped... this application dissapointed me in many things while using it for friends even.. this application has many limitations which need to be solved out with a new user interface may be... But I was looking if page managing could be easy on it. But no! it has just enabled viewing of page yet... I can't make any post as a page there... and the link sharing is even not enabled.. which for me is a very important feature... this application sucks..!!!!

You can view a "Page", but have to find it your newsfeed first. Google it for more info.

Why invest millions of dollars improving a product that most people will use no matter how crappy it is? Besides, the less time people spend using the mobile app, the more time they can spend on the full web version, where the advertisements are.
and is it me or does the widget use up more battery now?

This feature was available in previous versions too. If you saw a post from a page you could view it. However there wasn' t a dedicated page feature to view pages whenever u want.

The most awesomest pic viewer evAHR! !

Guys just want to share: today " gallery" decided to take a crap. Its on some kind of bootloop I guessed you'd call it. If you have this experience and can help cool, but that's not why I made this thread. I found the best friggin pic viewer and wanted to share! Its called " quickpic" dl from market and check it! Pics load super quick and slidshow is way smooth! Really happy with it. Give it a try and tell gallery to f- off!

Yea its ok been out for awhile, I know alot of people were using it on fauxs. Rom cuz the gallery was messed up, or u couldn't see internal SD so this app lets u see every pic

its a realy nice app, i loaded about 10,000 images on my sd the stock gallery would die trying to load it, while this app loaded up fine and smooth
Does it run a service in the background constantly, and does it draw on the cpu much? Ads?
edit: I decided to find out for myself... no service in the background, no noticeable cpu draw, and no ads...very fast sorting of all photos, smooth interface. Shortcuts to camera, and share-to's work well. Allows hidden folders...very nice find...thanks.
Awesome app. I'm gonna use it.

[Q] Use TF as digital photo frame

Are there any Image apps that will let use TF as a digital photo frame? I want something that will have a button on lockscreen so we can click it to start the slideshow.
Thanks
i'd love to know the same thing
Try these: https://market.android.com/search?q=digital+frame&so=1&c=apps
I've never tried, because I don't have personal photos saved on my TF, but good luck.
"Floating Image" is pretty awesome.
There an app called flyscreen I think does it

Second that. I almost forgot about this app until you mentioned it. Had it on my phone a while ago and I forgot about it.

Removing app name from display

Q: I love the customization available with the various ASOP roms, however really like the look and feel of the various sense roms too. I'm running Virtous Unity 2.37 and its great.
Without using an application such as ADW products, can I tweek the look to remove the app name from the display? I know what's what and just want to make it cleaner.
I'm not very technical and have searched but nothing seems to apply.

Use Any Cut (free in Market). Create shortcut to App from within Any Cut...although it won't let you leave the name blank, it will allow you to just input a space so it appears blank. See camera in top row of screenshot

desktop visualizer will do the same thing, but i think it will let you leave it completely empty
I use Desktop Visualizer. Notice the NFL icon. It is a custom icon that actually launches the NFL '11 app that I use. Also notice how I shortened the name of the stock messaging app.

Thanks for the input. I went with Desktop Visualizer. It was free and extremely simple to use. I've already cleaned up the desktop and it looks clutter free. Thanks!

It's a work in progress. I'm stock rooted with the Ginerbread/Sense 2.1 rom.
The wallpaper I found on Zedge. The skin is sopL87's 2.1 work over in the DHD threads. It is the Glass Sense skin. I am planning on changing the battery icon blue. I got some nice things going on in the other screens too. All a work in progress.

I had to hop on PC to reply to this post and am noticing that my pics posted huge, instead of a thumbnail with a smaller pic. I have no idea why. Must be the Tapatalk app.
Just interested in your wallpaper. I have my very own custom blue carbon fiber skin.
