Does anyone know when the Boost variant of the One SV will receive the 4.2 update?

Dear Brandon Russell,Thank you for contacting HTC Technical Support regarding your query of a ROM update for your device, Brandon. As much as I would like to give you a better answer, HTC does not announce release dates of software due to the nature of the software development process. At any point in the software development cycle a situation may be encountered that requires anything from some minor additional rework, to complete rewrites of the software base. Only after the final acceptance testing has been successfully completed will HTC release software. Please stay tuned to our website and social media for future update announcements.
Thanks for your continuous support of our products and services.
This is what HTC and boost also replied the same.
Okay thanks. Lol after having my S2 and now this phone I think Boost isn't very different then vzw was except the price

Did Anyone Receive It Yet?
A week ago, I gave a heads up about the update for both Boost Mobile & Cricket recently receiving and pushing out the update on the Update's Discussion thread. I waited a week like the guy from HTC said and I still haven't received it yet. Has anyone from Boost or Cricket received their update yet? If not then I will be glad to contact both Boost & HTC again.

Hey all,
My friend has the Inspire on ATT and is still waiting for his Gingerbread update. He's tried pulling it from the settings menu and no dice. Any ideas? Has ATT pulled the update?
Thanks!

It's my understanding that AT&T doesn't update their older phones. I know I hadn't received an update on mine since the day I got it. That was last August sometime.

Your gonna have to manually update via the RUU posted on HTC.com. Keep in mind that manually updating will wipe the phone. Here's the link:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/inspire-att/downloads#420
It is the second from the top. Just follow the directions on that page for applying the update.

Be aware that there were some problems with the official GB update, like the stock messaging app not recognizing known contacts. That's one of the reasons why there's such a large number of rooted Inspires.
I had the contacts issue with my inspire and finally just rooted. Now with a new Rom it works great.

I was aware because it happened with mine. That's why I started using Go SMS Pro, since rooting and flashing the ROM I have no issues. I think I'm just going to wait until they get tired of their farm game and just root it and flash a ROM to their phones as well. A lot of people I heard from before I found this site said the GB update caused a lot of issues with the Inspire.
Look what I found here. Indian Atrix 2 ICS update will come in August. Fingers crossed :good:

Thanks for calling Motorola helpline, we will definitely forward your query to the department concerned and let you know, meanwhile this is how you can check for updates from your Motorola Android mobile

Thanks for calling Motorola Helpline, and please let us know if there are any openings in BPOs or callcenters you know, these freaking guys are closing down in India. Thank you.

No OTA update available in my Atrix 2 (running with a custom ROM)
I recently rooted my phone and am using a custom rom (Victory ROM) now.
Now, after hearing that Moto has official ICS update via OTA, I'm trying to check for 'System Updates' in Settings -> About Phone. But no updates there.
Is it like, I have to come back to the stock ROM and get this update?
Thanks.

You have to be on stock..also the latest ota for at n t ensures theres no way back to GB..so i would advice to use the 1st leak and not the latest

I assume you have Indian Atrix 2 (based on your location), if that's the case read this forum which has details as how to install the ICS. (latest file seems the Official ICS release)
devilhunter47 advised is for AT&T phone. Indian phones seems don't have that problem and people can get back GB using fxz it seems (based on what I read there)...
Better you read that thread and go from there...All the best...
Did anybody notice improvement in battery lift after the ics update?
I did find a big improvement. Earlier, with 3G and auto sync ON through out my office time, battery status used to come down to 40-50%. Now, after End of my work day, it is at 80%. Observed this for a few days now.
Also the battery drain overnight has improved. I assume this might have to do with the black and cool blue skin that ics implemented...
I read a few article stating the LG g3 will be releasing lollipop before the year is over... It also stated that it would be the LG version of lollipop and then att will have to test and change it to their version and that can take a few months... So my question is if we will be able to flash the universal version before att get their hands on it or will we have to wait till att modifies it for the D850

Short answer, no one knows. We don't even have aosp Roms yet so to think about even speculate on a time frame for an unreleased android version is stupid. We'll get it at some point. Just be happy we've finally got roms

I guess u must have not fully understood the question... I was not asking for a time frame or when will we have lollipop... The question was if it is possible to take the LG update that they send to unlocked carrier phones and modify it for our att phone... Or will we have to wait for an att update and modify that... Different question

Short answer: an int'l version will be ported before you see an official ATT release.

Will rooting with stump make it impossible to accept an ota upgrade when lollipop is released? I remember with my galaxy nexus, it was changing the bootloader that did that.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Rumor has it that it will be harder to get around the bootloader situation with L. My suggestion is to NOT take the ota and just flash what ever L Rom is ported if you want to keep root. At least until the devs figure out the new features on android L.
Plus, being on AT&T, we wouldn't see an ota until well after everyone else Lmao.

Cm12!!!
I have loaded CM12 on my "burner" G3 a few times (updating every night.) It is quite flaky, but it is good to see progress being made. RIght now the issue with CM12 is that one of the cores gets stuck at 100% (some say due to an NFC issue) and sucks your battery dry.

update for GSM
hey!Im currently using this phone on a gsm carrier. .anyway i can update the phone directly by putting it in CDMA mode or something?Or do i need to wait for a RUU to flash? Thanks!
Has anyone been able to get the ota update from verizon ?
I went back to completely stock 4.4.4 rom with no system roms removed, stock 4.4.4 recovery and I flashed back to 4.4.4 firmware and the verizon ota updates keeps coming up that I have the latest software.
I know its out because verizon itself even shows it on the net going over the update in detail. They even show you can also get the update through the htc sync software by plugging your m8 in to yuour computer usb port and downloading the update. Which the htc sync software keeps showing no update either.
It would show a repair software option though which I tried that knowing I would still have s-off even if they did relock my bootloader because I could change my cid and use htc dev to unlock that if I needed to.
Anyone have any luck going back to stock and taking the LP ota from verizon ?

The Lollipop update to the AT&T version of the M8 has VoLTE, indicating it's probably a carrier thing more than an HTC thing.

Does anyone know if FoxFi will still work after the Lollipop Update?
Has anyone actually received it? Droid-Life said it started rolling out last night.

I wonder since it has not been tweeted, and stated on the HTC site if vzw prematurely posted the update info page on their site?

Probably. HTC's update page still says that it's in the "3 - Certification stage of the Android Lollipop Release."
Although Mo Versi did say to expect it the first week of March. So must be close.
I just ordered an m8 from Verizon and I really hope it didn't come with lollipop.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Free mobile app
Mo Versi replied this morning: "It's approved, you should receive the OTA soon. Thanks!"
Pretty sure one site saw that the lollipop documentation was up and just assumed the ota was released and then all the other sites just copy and pasted it and now its a runaway train. And it being approved is not the same as the update being pushed out. Pretty sure we got played as far as getting it today.

At this point your odds are 4.4.4. There is practically zero chance of it having lolligagger on it.
I've seen through the forums , there is a lot unwanted results , . I think most are created by the flashers , but there seems a lot bugs too, which one is the most stable
Is xpose , ready for marshmallow?
If you want stability you can't go wrong with Viper or ICE.

Maybe that explains also the inability of HTC to release updates. Yet there is probably a rom which could be adapted for this HTC. A starting point could be the other HTC phones which already have 6.0 or 7.0.
Anyone up for the challenge?
