Which of the 6.0 roms is the less buggy?? - One (ME) General

I've seen through the forums , there is a lot unwanted results , . I think most are created by the flashers , but there seems a lot bugs too, which one is the most stable
Is xpose , ready for marshmallow?

If you want stability you can't go wrong with Viper or ICE.

you are aware that there are no roms for the ME

Please don't buy phone MTK chipset. All other HTC's with Qualcomm chipset have so much ROM.

Maybe that explains also the inability of HTC to release updates. Yet there is probably a rom which could be adapted for this HTC. A starting point could be the other HTC phones which already have 6.0 or 7.0.
Anyone up for the challenge?

Rumours about CM11

Hello all,
I saw post about CM11 aka Android 4.4.
Is the HOS getting CM11?
The kernel tree got a CM11 branch!
And the other repos also.
If we get CM11, should all the bugs be gone?

That would be very unlikely. The no bugs part.
Will definitely not happen. Or at least without camera, bluetooth and so on.

It's sad.. Because the HOS is a really good phone.
Even the HTC Incredible S (a device like us) got a really good working CM10.2 (only a few small bugs), while this device is legacy for 2 years. So with smart developpers everything is possible.

CyanogenMod sayd that all the devices that received the CM10.2 will receive the CM11...what do You think about that?
Sorry for my bad english

There's no way that we wont get cm11 update. Our phone will off-course get cm11 update. becouse they say that Android KitKat will support even low-end phones. so why can't we have that. it's just a matter of time.
That sounds great,
I hope KitKat wil keep my phone alive.
Because maybe i will buy a Nexus 5. If 4.4 works great without bugs (i dont think so) i'll wait.

Not so correct...certainly Android 4.4 can run faster on our device, but without sources and drivers this isn't enough...

Sorry to say that but you certainly dont have any clue how the whole process works. Its not like Windows which supports "every" processor and PC configuration today.
Anybody knows when they'll release 4.4? It's been a while now, event there's already some roms

See my threat in the development section. There is a build, but it got some bugs.
Just look at DEV for one S. There is 4.4 available It's alpha but it's a progress
The CM11 in the DEV section which is marked as a beta actually works pretty good. Been using it for a few days now and worked better than most 4.3 rom's I tried in the past.
It will come

I tried the unofficial version and it runs smoothly already. Although there are some reboots from time to time...
I also tried the unofficial CM11 and it's for the most part pretty stable (ville C2). I had a few issues but nothing that made day to day use impossible.
I've since rolled back to Venom because I like Sense and the CM11 isn't tweakable enough for my liking just yet.
Regarding the Android 4.4 and older devices, 4.4 uses less system resources and memory than previous versions, this is not to support older devices (it still needs fairly modern architecture) but to let modern devices run faster (if you look how much of your RAM and battery life is used up by default android processes in Jellybean and ICS you'll see what I'm on about).

Boost HTC One SV 4.2

Dear Brandon Russell,Thank you for contacting HTC Technical Support regarding your query of a ROM update for your device, Brandon. As much as I would like to give you a better answer, HTC does not announce release dates of software due to the nature of the software development process. At any point in the software development cycle a situation may be encountered that requires anything from some minor additional rework, to complete rewrites of the software base. Only after the final acceptance testing has been successfully completed will HTC release software. Please stay tuned to our website and social media for future update announcements.
Thanks for your continuous support of our products and services.
This is what HTC and boost also replied the same.

Did Anyone Receive It Yet?
A week ago, I gave a heads up about the update for both Boost Mobile & Cricket recently receiving and pushing out the update on the Update's Discussion thread. I waited a week like the guy from HTC said and I still haven't received it yet. Has anyone from Boost or Cricket received their update yet? If not then I will be glad to contact both Boost & HTC again.

5.0 Lollipop

Any Developers or people who's working or done with the lollipop 5.0 rom for infuse? I just want to experience the new material design.
They have said once beanstalk is ported they'd give it a go.

I'm working on it, could be interesting if we can use this kernel on our device
https://github.com/hak86/android_kernel_samsung_aries
since infuse has 2.6 kernel and required a lot of changes to make lollipop
I am unsure about specs but you might visit the Samsung Galaxy player 4.0 and 5.0 forums, they are at least same gen devices and I saw lollipop is built on it.

Any progess?
Is there any progress on Lollipop for the Infuse? Still using mine. Thanks.
Lollipop is a ram eater. I tried it on the razrm and it didn't go well. Wound up reverting to kitkat. I'm sorry but at some point even if you can, you shouldn't and I think all devs are realizing this.

I think people should just run the latest that's available, or get a new phone. A Moto E is 3 times the phone the Infuse is, and can be had for $30 if you buy it at the right time. Plus it runs Lollipop out of the box. Methinks trying to run 5.0 on a 4 yr old device is near impossible.

Should be very likely.
There were ports of ICS and Kitkat for my old LG P350 device. Why wouldn't there be ports for M. The S4 should run it just fine.
I would be satisfied if s4 gets all L updates cause android M wont be released almost 100% for s4...or maxbe samsung has some other thoughts [emoji14]
After I saw that Google released the source code, just do not know if it is 100% platform ....It would be nice at least be able to use part of the optimization of ART and battery (doze project). I'm using the GearCM (optimized version of CyanogenMod) for i9500 ... is that changing the manifest can do a partial port?
I might try build it, see what the crack is.

He is talking about official manufacturer release.
Generally, after 18 months the manufacturer drops update development for a phone. It's been 2 years since the S4 released. Samsung already has 2 devices on which they have to work + their next flag ship.
I doubt they are going to spend more time on our 2 year old device.
We will surely get AOSP versions of M but official samsung version might be unlikely.

I'm pretty sure there won't be any official Touchwiz M for the S4 and considering the fact that 5.1 isn't even out for the google play edition S4... i'm pretty sure the GPE model will not see M either.
Yeah probably s4 stops at L,s5 will probably get M too.
Android 'Biggest update ever' failed badly, now Google should get serious about the quality of updates.
we need the Camera API 2.0 by Samsung, so we will use a perfect version of the next cm13 rom!!! i really hate the bad quality of camera apps in CM 12.1 !!!!!!

Updates for European models?

Since I rooted my A9 (but made a system backup) I have no idea if a new update is out for European 2GB ram models, so I dunno if I restore the stock system and recovery to update.
Is the update still 6.0 or we finally got he 6.0.1?
It looks like the new US update made the camera even better
No 6.0.1 on my European model.... HTC is doing well in the US but maybe a bit too slow in Europe.
Yeah it's weird, it looks like HTC sold much more A9 in the US than Europe perhaps, or they are putting all their efforts on the M10, either way they lack software programmers employees as they can't work on 2 phones at the same time. I have nothing to complain with my A9 but if there are some new customization option and better camera algorithm...
HTC priority has always been the US compared to Europe.. That's why they sell developers versions of their handsets in the US only..

I have the European model and I'm still under 6.0.
HTC should, at least, push updates for security patch.
I want the camera update
I have to RAW edit all my photos on PC because HTC uses a too high jpeg compression (or NR) loosing details, perhaps the 6.0.1 update has a better jpeg treatment

Yep but if the new camera improvements are nice and it can give xposed compatibility, why not?
As well as compatibility with the incoming custom Rom, as a tester I could flash it but because of FW differences (6.0 vs 6.0.1) it won't work.
