This can be due to lot of background procceses qhich r open in background like whatsapp,fb etc. That is why it consumes the battery. Try minimising the use of apps and see the results
Why So Serious?!
did you install other apps?
did u install other apps now? I mean to say did this change to consume battery shifted to android os after you installed some apps or in the same condition?

Hello,
I want to know your battery stats, too see which ROM is better at battery conservation etc.
So,if you are kind to do this, let`s use this model:
1.Battery:Stock 1540mAh(Or any other type that you have,i have an Andida 1920mAh too,but i will post the results later)
2.ROM:CM 7.2 by pandaball
3.Status:3h14m on battery,67%,light use, only WI-FI on,no phone calls or data.(It`s better to post your results when the battery is near 0%,i will post them later)
If you wanna use screenshots too, it`s better.
For experienced users a dumpstate file would help.
Thank you.
First ss:
Only Wi-Fi on,phone in idle,in the morning was dead.

Second:
Wi-FI off all day,phone used,3G on.

I disabled three services in this rom:adfree, update me,and maps.
The new battery stats look like this:
if you want battery life, MoKee OS is the ROM for you

WIFI=no
3G= yes
display is also decently high but on that rom that seems to be something that can really kill battery if you jack it up to full like my sister does
Hello everyone. I have that problem. My battery life sucks. Can I do something about that yo improve the battery life?

P.S. power save on. Auto brightness .
Sent from my GT-I9105P
seems normal,my device would be faster to drain if same condition as well(3g mode),but mine battery are not new.
mostly what take ur battery is screen time, which is normal for an hour of it,other only drain >12%,seems ok in my point of view.
actually, this kinda battery life is better than my previous lumia 620 or my bro's xperia v
ps: power saving mode dint do too much different,i advice u just turn it off.
Install android tweaker and greenify to have some extra juice
Sent from my GT-I9105P using xda app-developers app
Well, it seems that our battery is just for 6 hours. I will try greenify
Edited. Greenify don't work so good.

6 hour of screen time already is above average, try to compare with let say moto g,screen time at best are 4-5 hour

I can confirm very similar issue with the new MI3 firmware - sometimes the battery lasts only 6-7 hours (when in pocket- not on screentime) with power saving ON, wifi and 3g OFF
I have rooted I9105P
did you try to calibrate it ?

Since flashing Carbon ROM two nights ago, I've been seeing com.android.systemui consistently at or near the top of my battery stats screen (screen shot below). When I was on Cataclysm, I never noticed this. Is this something I should worry about/deal with?

You've only used 3,% of your battery. See what it looks like later in the day. It should be less than 5%. If it isn't then yes, something is not right. Turn location off until you need it. That week save battery.
Sent from my Nexus 5
the % used in the graph is the % used of total battery drain.
you only lost 3% total battery and 49% of that 3% was used by the system.
there is no problem as of now.
Check out lockscreen notifications if you have pocket mode on it keeps the proximity sensor on all the time and will cause a larger than normal drain.

This is very helpful. Thanks -- I'll try disabling lockscreen notifications/pocket mode.
You cannot tell anything from stats after only a few percent of battery drain. Look again after you've burned 90 percent off the battery.

It's a bug. Reboot helps some cleaning cache others. Google know about it. There's a long thread on this

hello everyone, i just registered on the forums.
I have searched almost everything about that problem, i have seen topics about high WIFI use on android 6.0 but its not my problem...
i think my phone battery runs out too fast.... after full phone charge to 100% with original charger and after using phone for 9 minutes only messenger, battery was already 95%.
screen brightness around 70% of bar. Phone says 8hours left on that 95%.
i already tried:
* replacing the battery
* downgrading android 6 to latest stable 5, no effect
im attaching 2 screenshots.

I also quickly lose 1-2 percents after a full charge but everything goes back to normal. What is "messenger"? Facebook crappy app? If so, don't be surprised.

Apparently, downgrading to Nougat is the only option for now
I turn on data saver and allow few apps like social media that really need a background usage and this helped me to save a lot of battery, i can lose only 3-4% overnight with this. try it and tell me if it works
Pls reply fast

Battery life on any phone is completely subjective and very much depends on the number of apps installed, the type of app and how you use your phone.
Anyone who says "this ROM's battery is great" or "that's ROM's battery is amazing", is only speaking in terms of how they use their phone and what settings are enabled.
The golden rule of battery life is quite simple, the less your phone has to do, the less battery is used its as simple as that.
For example you can have 2 devices running Nougat both with identical apps installed. One phone is used normally throughout the day with auto update apps, screen brightness on 50%, volume on low, Bluetooth on blah blah and its lasts 12 hrs.
The other device is just used for texts and calls, has auto update apps off, screen brightness at 30%, volume at 30% Bluetooth off and it lasts 16 hours.
With all these different variables it is nonsense to suggest one rom is better than another, battery life involves so many variables you simply cannot work it out with any degree of accuracy. Anyone who claims otherwise is tripping.
The slimmest barebones ROM's are lineage and other ASOP ROM's. If you want your battery to last longer start with these ROM's.
