Hello,
I want to know your battery stats, too see which ROM is better at battery conservation etc.
So,if you are kind to do this, let`s use this model:
1.Battery:Stock 1540mAh(Or any other type that you have,i have an Andida 1920mAh too,but i will post the results later)
2.ROM:CM 7.2 by pandaball
3.Status:3h14m on battery,67%,light use, only WI-FI on,no phone calls or data.(It`s better to post your results when the battery is near 0%,i will post them later)
If you wanna use screenshots too, it`s better.
For experienced users a dumpstate file would help.
Thank you.

WIFI=no
3G= yes
display is also decently high but on that rom that seems to be something that can really kill battery if you jack it up to full like my sister does

I have everything from the CM Bible page. I have wiped and reinstalled everything a number of times and Android System is always sitting right on top. The battery holds fine when the screen is off, but whenever it's on regardless of Wifi/mobile data ect. it plummets fast.
Any suggestions?
dude...you should try InsertCoin rom....its a masterpiece
best rom for battery life indeed !
i think this is pretty normal for cm7 because its still alpha...i have pretty similar "problem" and im quite happy with battery life on cm7,its at least twice as good than on sense roms so dont worry, use your phone and charge your battery when needed,if this is really a bad battery life for you than try to get anker
I just switched to trips ICS alpha and it's fine now. Android system doesn't even register in my battery usage. Just display and wifi. I might try to head back to CM and see if the problem returns. Thanks for the heads up. If CM still doesn't want to work out I'll check that out.

Yeah I suppose so. I just really don't get why my dialer would be using 9X more battery than my display is.
i think its because of the cm bugs in alpha release...im pretty happy with it but if you dont like just wait a bit more, ics should be coming soon
I think it depends on the rom you are using. I noticed with the lateset miui the android system is a little higher. I agree that it must be an aosp thing.

So I downloaded BetterBatteryStats....

I wanted to see how my phone was performing battery wise so I downloaded BBS but Im not sure how to use the info it gives me. So looking at the screenshot below. Is my phone normal or should I make some adjustments. I know that if I leave it off the charger over night I loose approximately 25% not sure how normal that is for Android. Any tips or advice would be be nice

Looks horrible. Phone should spend majority of its time in deep sleep overnight. You should only lose 1% per hour or less. You should check partial and kernel wakelocks too.

You might as well put it in airplane mode since you have no signal at night.

Thanks so much for the replies. So since my battery life was not superb. I decided to try a new rom. Synergy, it looks like I am getting more sleep time but my wlan is still up and so is data connection. I also ran kernel and partial wake. Any insight on these reports below?
You can try going into maps settings and make sure report location is unchecked. Also, make sure your GPS is off

P.S. power save on. Auto brightness .

seems normal,my device would be faster to drain if same condition as well(3g mode),but mine battery are not new.
mostly what take ur battery is screen time, which is normal for an hour of it,other only drain >12%,seems ok in my point of view.
actually, this kinda battery life is better than my previous lumia 620 or my bro's xperia v
ps: power saving mode dint do too much different,i advice u just turn it off.
Install android tweaker and greenify to have some extra juice
Sent from my GT-I9105P using xda app-developers app
Well, it seems that our battery is just for 6 hours. I will try greenify
Edited. Greenify don't work so good.

6 hour of screen time already is above average, try to compare with let say moto g,screen time at best are 4-5 hour

I can confirm very similar issue with the new MI3 firmware - sometimes the battery lasts only 6-7 hours (when in pocket- not on screentime) with power saving ON, wifi and 3g OFF
I have rooted I9105P
did you try to calibrate it ?

New battery charging in 30/40 minutes from 0 to 100%, stock charger.

Well, after i substitute the battery with a new one using this guide i got really f up.
Now i guess the real problem is the one in the title. I alredy tried to:
- flash back to stock
- keep the stock for a few days
- flash a clean sultan
- pray Cthulhu
Now i'm using the latest SultanCM and it charges at an insane speed while the battery lasts less of course... Any idea of the reason behind it? Maybe @Sultanxda knows?

The reason is your new battery,no matter which one you buy, they always fu*k up.
The only thing you can do is wait for the battery to calibrate completely.

So it's normal?
That's my actual situation:

This graph shows percentage and voltage of the battery over almost 24h. At first i'm charging, then i use it normally. After many attemps like this one i noticed that the battery life is now normal, but the percentage is still f up. Maxium voltage was around 4.3V, which is fine i guess
Is it common that the voltage reading is so inaccurate?

Apparently, downgrading to Nougat is the only option for now
I turn on data saver and allow few apps like social media that really need a background usage and this helped me to save a lot of battery, i can lose only 3-4% overnight with this. try it and tell me if it works
Pls reply fast

Battery life on any phone is completely subjective and very much depends on the number of apps installed, the type of app and how you use your phone.
Anyone who says "this ROM's battery is great" or "that's ROM's battery is amazing", is only speaking in terms of how they use their phone and what settings are enabled.
The golden rule of battery life is quite simple, the less your phone has to do, the less battery is used its as simple as that.
For example you can have 2 devices running Nougat both with identical apps installed. One phone is used normally throughout the day with auto update apps, screen brightness on 50%, volume on low, Bluetooth on blah blah and its lasts 12 hrs.
The other device is just used for texts and calls, has auto update apps off, screen brightness at 30%, volume at 30% Bluetooth off and it lasts 16 hours.
With all these different variables it is nonsense to suggest one rom is better than another, battery life involves so many variables you simply cannot work it out with any degree of accuracy. Anyone who claims otherwise is tripping.
The slimmest barebones ROM's are lineage and other ASOP ROM's. If you want your battery to last longer start with these ROM's.
