1. You will need a kernel that supports NTFS file system to mount.
2. You will need to provide external power to the HD because your phone cannot handle the Hd power requirements.

Your micro usb goes to the hard disk.
Black normal usb to the otg cable of your phone.
And red usb to the computer or laptop usb port. Or connect the red usb to the charger u got with a110.

I can't download files greater than 4GB in my phone. Since i don't have a micro sd card slot i hoping if i could make my device read and write to ntfs, i could download directly to a pendrive(Turbo has USB OTG)

tried to reinstall the system through DOS?
---------- Post added at 08:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:18 PM ----------
Go to the DOS boot then set and the first to set up boot CD-R or USB flash drive there because I do not know of which you are installing
Please simplify,im a noob when it comes to pcs...

Hey first remove your RAM and clean them. And reboot if works then good else install new copy of windows with media.
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
When you turn the system first boots hard drives, etc. At this point, press DEL and entering in DOS mode, there should be a tab or something related to the boot and give 1st CD-R, for example, now you give the disk a second time while turning kompa after a reboot instead of pressing DEL, F8, and then should be the selection of the drive for installation and the installation process itself probably does not need to explain
You mean entering bios?

After getting the windows install it with formatting the partition where you installed the system. Disappear, viruses and other pests if any were.
You should just burn a Linux distro ISO from another PC and boot that up. If that fails, I recommend trying UBCD to debug HW issues.
If it boots into linux, you can mount your ntfs volume(s) and copy any important data off to an external drive.
THen you can do a clean windows install or even better, just install Linux
For linux beginners, I recommend Linux Mint.
When I have my phone plugged into the PC, I noticed that is showing up as only having 9.9GB of total space. Is my on board SD card corrupted or something?

You can only use about that much for storage. It's normal. Please change the prefix of this thread to [solved]

No....the other partition of your memory Is for the phones software files, Rom, and some other things. It's not true 16 gigs....all phones are like that even the iPhone. Any phone that has built in memory for storage is like this
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using Tapatalk 2
It's about right. A part of it is allotted to system storage (ROM)
If you have Titanium backup it will show you how it's broken down.
If not use "Quick System Info" I don't have the HOS with me or I would tell yo exactly how it's broken down.
Off my head about 1.8 is for system (ROM) maybe 1.5 or so for internal storage
a little over 10 for sdcard.
Once we get s off well be able to partition and get abit more space
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
As others said you don't get to use that full 16GB. There really should be a marketing law so they can stop this sorta confusion. Kinda ripping us of here.

Here's a screenshot, the bottom show how the internal is partitioned.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Fit Gt-SS5670 The media scanner keeps on running all the time in the notification bar and stucks at various %'s after every reboot since I have bought it. Tried changing my SD for about 15 times no of it helped . 2GB memoery cards dont give the problem any SD card higher than 2GB makes the media scanner carzy. My newly added media doesn't appear in the Music app nor my Gallery app. Samsung Service couldnt help me out of it . Please help :crying: any other ROM except for CM gives the same problem to my phone.
Re: [Q] Media scanner error on Samsung Galaxy Fit on stock ROM 2.3.6

Hello ..
Straight to the point, how can I convert my NTFS micro SD to FAT32 while the SD card is in the phone.. Since I don't have a reader for it..
And my laptop is currently broken so
I'm left with desktop which does not have a reader for micro SD ..
So is there a way to format it to FAT32? Or on Android?

The NTFS format SDcard is not able to mounted , but it's still recognized by android. You should be able to format it by the classic way. In the setting menu ,storage ,and there should be the option to format the sdcard.
I once format my sdcard to NTFS format , and my phone directly gave me the message to format the sdcard after boot.
Solved my problem by using AParted app from Play Store..
Unmount sdcard in settings - storage
Then used the app to make 1 partition with maximum storage allowed and made it FAT32 ..
(Saying this just in case someone ever needed it)

Indeed it has been helpfull right now thanks
