So you already flashed CWM? Then Download the ZIP file of SuperSU and Flash it with CWM?
Also i Recommend a XDA thread instead of youtube since XDA thread are more secure.
I've tried to flash but its not working.

I tried to flash the superSU but it won't work.

Are you sure its not already ready to go since you rooted if so just download supersu from the google play store and see if that works.
It downloaded but now it says I don't have root access.

From all the threads in general, it would seem the update does unroot your phone. Also from those threads it would seem flashing a custom recovery and, subsequently, the su zip will give you root back. I don't know of a pre-rooted version out yet.
i just upgraded to ics a little while ago using rom manager, i had to go back to stock 2.3.3 which unrooted my phone but did not lock the phone . I was wondering the same thing and that is how the heck do i root my phone now lol. my phone still shows the unlocked lock on the boot up screen under "Google" but i dont have SU permissions anymore. if I still have su.zip file and cwm can i just use fastboot and flash the img and su.zip ?
What if I don't have my original files to roll back to stock GB? I just downloaded the version Koush put up on his twitter...will that allow me to flash in CWM and update?

Download stock images from from manager then update to 2.3.6 then you can flash the one from koush's twitter.
Root will be lost after update. Currently flashing su.zip wont work. Still trying to figure it out.

We might just have to re*root when they release the info.

Let me ask you also, I'm currently running Alpha13 w/ Francisco.Franco kernel. Is the official that much smoother that I should lose my root?

So i just bought this today from bestbuy. I have a GS3 rooted anyway, I know what I'm doing for the most part. My question is, my tablet is rooted out of the box? I was installing my apps and it installed root explorer, rom manager and superSU. When i opened rom manager and R/E supersu asked for permision. I can also go in R/E and edit or delete apps as I can with my rooted S3. The only thing is clockwork is not installed, i go to install it and only gives me 3 options for samsung phones. My status evens says normal and it has no flash counts. I know they could be cleared, anyway has anyone else seen this?

Try writing a file to "/system". If you can't, you're not actually rooted. Installing apps that require root doesn't mean you're rooted either. If you need root and CWM, check the CF-Root thread in Original Development.

Root Checker is also helpful with this type of question.
I'm sure this has already been posted but I can't find it. If so I'm sorry and please just link me to it. I just picked up my Verizon Galaxy S3 about an hour ago. I rooted it using "RootDebugfs.bat". After rooting I installed ClockworkMod ROM manager then installed the ClockwordMod Recovery. Then I downloaded CM10 Stable using the ROM Manager and installed the CM10 Stable ROM. After the phone got done backing up my system and installing the custom ROM it rebooted to a screen saying
System software not authorized by Verizon wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help.

When I try to boot into recovery I am given the same message. I can boot into ODIN mode though and am just wondering what I should do. I have ODIN3 v3.07 installed. I just don't know where to go from here.
Thank you in advance for any advice/help given and once again I'm sorry if this has already been answered somewhere.

Used toolkits, both found here, for both of my devices: RAZR XT910 and Nexus 7. Worked flawlessly the first time.
I've rooted my Desire with the unrevoked/revolutionary guide here on xda forums, quite a while back ago. Used CWM recovery afterwards. Flawless process.
The One V was also rooted with the guide here on xda, the easy one with htcdev. Not the hard root. My friend didn't want the hard root so I followed his orders, since it was his phone. Also flawless.
Kernel
I flashed pre-rooted kernel

I used exynos abuse app on my note 2 and then installed twrp.

Hello there, noob here, just made the switch from iphone to Note 2 and I'm loving it. I was very familiar with the jailbreaking process of the iphone and now I'm trying to learn how to do the same with my Note2.
I see there are a lot of variants depending on the carrier so I did some research and finally found what I needed to root note 2 SGH-i317 (ATT), used Odin and CWM and everything went very smooth, now I have a rooted note2 confirmed with the root_checker app.
On problem though, when I try to get into TRWP recovery mode so I can install roms/kernells if I do the Volume_up + Home+ power, I only get a black screen. Can't get into it and don't know what to do. My phone works fine though.
Any suggestions?
Should I re-root? Is it possible?
thanks in advance

thanks henisod for the quick responses. I will do the re-flashing, the odd thing is that it all went well on the first try.
It's been successfully rooted with POOT.
It has also been rooted via CWM by Area51 Here for CWM and then Here for Root! I did find some ROM development going on at Area51 as well here. Area51's CWM does not appear to play nice with any phone rooted with Poot however so it's best to install CWM from Area51 first and then use their root method.

The root method used at A51 is out-of-date, and can't be updated. Therefore, you'll continuously receive an update notification and won't be able to stop it.

Not True! All you have to do is just not install the update when it boots you into CWM. This will be fixed when they complete the ROM they're working on. I don't get update reminders after accepting the first one and just not installing it once in recovery mode at the install screen!

You might want to wait for Area51 to complete their first ROM for the phone. Currently it has an annoying update that keeps trying to install over the rooted stock OS that will break root if you install it. Of course you can just keep clicking on accept and then selecting NO when you get to the install update screen in CWM like I do, but it's an annoyance.

Is there any roms for the Samsung Galaxy Centura on StraightTalk that is Android version 4.1, 4.2 or above?
Not yet. Something that Samsung broke in the kernel is preventing the ROMs from booting up.

Did you rename the backup? If it has spaces, it will cause that error.

Does anyone know what has become of Androidarea51 ??
