[Q] Unlock Bootloader - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I'm sure this has already been posted but I can't find it. If so I'm sorry and please just link me to it. I just picked up my Verizon Galaxy S3 about an hour ago. I rooted it using "RootDebugfs.bat". After rooting I installed ClockworkMod ROM manager then installed the ClockwordMod Recovery. Then I downloaded CM10 Stable using the ROM Manager and installed the CM10 Stable ROM. After the phone got done backing up my system and installing the custom ROM it rebooted to a screen saying
System software not authorized by Verizon wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help.

When I try to boot into recovery I am given the same message. I can boot into ODIN mode though and am just wondering what I should do. I have ODIN3 v3.07 installed. I just don't know where to go from here.
Thank you in advance for any advice/help given and once again I'm sorry if this has already been answered somewhere.

[Q] ClockworkMod ROM Manager

I was trying to make a backup of my current ROM/info before I installed a new kernel, but when I click "Backup current ROM", I get a pop up that says
Flash Clockworkmod Recovery
You must have CLockworkMOD Recovery Installed before continuing! Install the recovery through ROM Manager first.
I click Install and it asks me to confirm my phone model, but the closes thing that it offers to my phone model is the Samsung t-Mobil Galaxy S2. Is this the one I should use? Or is there another way I should be going about this?
Sorry for all the n00b questions, just want to make sure I do everything right incase I have to fix my phone. haha
Select t-mobile.
Sent from my SGH-I727R using xda premium
Yes you must choose tmobile galaxy s2. Its the same as our phone, ours is not listed. But that is what everyone who uses rom manager does
Don't choose Motorola Startac, you're phone will explode....
As mentioned, the T-Mo Clockwork mod option is the one you want. That is, unless they have added proper Skyrocket option since the last time I flash in CWM.

I just installed the Touch Recovery from Rom Manager using the Android Market in-app purchase. Updated my CWM to 5.8.1.3, from what I gather on the website, this is the T-Mobile SGS 2 version. Works fine from what I can tell/tested.

just unlocked and rooted s3 vzw can i flash recovery from rom manager now?

Well you can but rom manager can be flaky. Plus I don't believe that version supports kexec so you could end up in an unbootable state if you accidentally flash a rom that still uses the older method.

If it helps at all and if you're still trying to decide whether to use EZ-Recovery or not, I'm using Rom Manager and boots into CWM no problem. I used it to install the alpha 2 CM10 that was posted yesterday.
Yeah you'll run into serious problems if you use Rom Manager and accidently flash a kexec based rom, but if you're smart about it you should be fine.
Rom Manager kept crashing on me every time I tried to install CWM through it

I already reset it to factory with odin, but I would like to know what am I missing here?

The rom is Baked Blackbean and its compatible with the vzw gs3... the problem is the op simply did not unlock his bootloader. Now he needs to follow section 6 of my guide linked in sig and then unlock the bootloader with ez unlock!
This time I got everything correct now, after i got my phone rooted i installed ez unlock and ez revovery, and this time booted just fine. Thanks for all your help.
Nice, now scrap that ez recovery and install rom manager. From there you can install cwm touch recovery 6.0.1.2 which is awesome. The version in ez recovery does not support jelly bean, so be careful.

I installed the cwm 6.0.1.0, is that the one you are talking about? I installed just fine fine with it, I really would like to use the touch screen one like twrp, what do you guys think about it?
Cwm has a touch version that you can install through their rom manager app. It's the same 6.0.1.2 version. EZ recovery only has the 5. something version of cwm touch which cannot be used on jb. Download rom manager app from play store, install current cwm recovery through the app, then choose install cwm touch recovery option on bottom, choose download from website (it's free there, paid through the market for some reason), choose your phone model, and that's it.

incorrect again! Imo rom manager can cause more problems then its worth...op follow section 5 of my guide for flashing anything aosp jb related.
It's not the touch version 6.0.1.2. It's the regular one. The touch available in that application is 5.8 version, not wise to run with jb. How can I be any clearer? That app will not give you cwm touch 6.0.1.2.

you dont need cwm touch...regular cwm6.0.1 works just fine from the ez recovery app. not to mention it works for everything. the reason im saying this is because new users need to learn how to manually flash things first to get a better understanding of what they are doing. rom manager can cause more trouble for folks like the op who flash things before doing research. sorry not trying to give ya a hard time as what you said is correct, i just dont think its a good recomendation for the op.

NEED HELP with unlocking verizon galaxy s3 bootloader..:)

Ight guys like the title says I need help on getting my gs3 back to where I can unlock my bootloader.. when I had first got the phone I was able to root and unlock and then as u all know about Verizon forcing update on our phones it happened to mine.. so I went ahead and rooted the phone with no problem and then downloaded the ez-unlock and it says that my bootloader is unlocked but it doesn't let me lock it but anyways I downloaded the cm10 nightly and gapps and when I flashed it and when I rebooted it it went to a message saying that I have downloaded a unauthorized software and that I had to take it to Verizon... so I did the whole system flash think and went back to stock the. Rooted again and the ez app tells me that my bootloader is still unlocked so I powers off and went to the downloading thing on boot up and at the bottom it shows a quadcomm secureboot. Enabled is they why I cant flash cm10??

If you have taken the 4.3 OTA, you cannot unlock your bootloader. Any attempt to do so will brick your device. If you have already attempted it this thread will most likely help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586319
If you already bricked it you can download a debrick file, download the 16 gb pit file or do a factory restore from scratch. I was able to get rooted, and unlocked on 4.3 with my S3 let me take a look back at my files, and I can tell you which ones you need, and how to fix your issues.:good:

This. ^^
I used 1.2 on my VZW GS III with 4.4.2 and it got bricked upon reboot. And from what I've seen it was as soon as the 4.3 update and I believe a recent firmware update, as well. If you have the latest firmware and at least 4.3, don't use EZ-Unlock at all unless you want to go through hoops to possibly (no guarantee) get it working again.

[ROOT] Straight Talk: Samsung Galaxy Centura

It's been successfully rooted with POOT.
It has also been rooted via CWM by Area51 Here for CWM and then Here for Root! I did find some ROM development going on at Area51 as well here. Area51's CWM does not appear to play nice with any phone rooted with Poot however so it's best to install CWM from Area51 first and then use their root method.

The root method used at A51 is out-of-date, and can't be updated. Therefore, you'll continuously receive an update notification and won't be able to stop it.

Not True! All you have to do is just not install the update when it boots you into CWM. This will be fixed when they complete the ROM they're working on. I don't get update reminders after accepting the first one and just not installing it once in recovery mode at the install screen!

You might want to wait for Area51 to complete their first ROM for the phone. Currently it has an annoying update that keeps trying to install over the rooted stock OS that will break root if you install it. Of course you can just keep clicking on accept and then selecting NO when you get to the install update screen in CWM like I do, but it's an annoyance.
