Call recording on CM 10.1 - Samsung Galaxy R i9103

Is there any way to record calls, like any kernel currently implementing mods for supporting call recording ?
If anyone has figured this out, can they help ?
Please don't go over the legality of this, i need it for educational purposes ( My friends discuss things over the phones and the recording them would be great, i tend to forget things. )

Only microphone-based call recording works on CM. The only combination where voice line recording works is that of Chinese audio libs and a supported kernel. CM kernel has these enhancements enabled, but the audio lib parts aren't ported, I didn't research how it works and it wasn't a priority.
I have a thread in general section about call recording on ICS, you can check that out.

A working call recording app for R ?

Hello guys I am looking for a good 2 way call recording app. It should be able to automatically record incoming & outgoing calls. It must be able to record the voice of both the parties clearly and the recorded voice should be audible. I am going to use it for personal use only.
I have tried Andro Call recorder but in it the recorded voice of the person at the other end is as good as inaudible and not clear. Earlier I used Ultimate Voice Recorder with my Nokia in which voice quality of both sides was acceptable. But Ultimate Voice Recorder for android doesn't work as seen from the comments section for the app in the android market.
I have also read that the call recording ability got killed in GB due to some US laws. But that should be only for illegal call recording in which the user is not aware thar the calls are being recorded. If the user himself wants to record the calls then he should be able to do it, heck even a lowly Nokia C3-00 has native call recording ability without the need to install any app. So that would be pretty foolish of Google & Samsung to not support it !
So is anyone using a call recording app which works correctly ? Any suggestions ? Any info would be welcomed . . .
I hope the info provided is clear enough, but if not then ask, I clear it out. Please do reply asap !
Common guys at least try some of them and tell if any of them work .

Call Quality comparisons

There have been a few users (myself especially) questioning the call quality on 4+ ROMs. I put together a comparison video demonstrating both visual and audio of a CM11 based ROM (OnePlus One port) and a stock port (Sixth Sense). The Sixth Sense ROM I demonstrated with and without Xposed Framework with Xsense (noise suppression).
I tried to use audio that would have a low speaking voice as that is when I have the most problems, but this round the audio did not cut in and out like previous times. But hopefully it will help anyone with questions about the call quality of the ROMs.

Modifying in-call voice playback in a custom ROM

Hi, I'm a developer. My first time into building AOSP and experimenting with custom ROMS.
I would like to know if it's possible to modify the OS in order to add preprocessing to in-call voice playback (normal phone call).
I already know it's possible with system audio (such as music players, etc.), but I couldn't find information and the best entry point for in-call voice processing.
I am targeting Nexus 5X, so I'm OK with modifying Qualcomm code.
Also, I'm only interested in modifying playback - I don't care about recording (uplink).
If there's an entry point that will apply the same way for phone calls, and all other system audio - that would be the best.
Thanks
