I really want to see the quality of picture this phone can take. I'm not very happy with the one on my tilt. I hope Raphael will have better camera picture quality.
Thanks in advance
picture quality is good only in extremely good light conditions

Haha, you can at least take a picture of your monitor or something... why a fish, man? an ugly one too.
Ugly? It looks like a monster, I nearly puked...
Is that the original size of the picture? Holy s*it its huge for a phone pic if it is.
more pics more pics more pics!!!!
I made a thread posting panoramic pictures in particular, but I'm not gonna go dig it up. The camera quality, like someone else stated, is great with good lighting... Once lighting isn't perfect, you can see the quality decline.
can you tell what it took?
i would have to say LIGHTING is key or turn on the flashlight and take closer pictures

Very nice shot and panorama stitch but please... there is no such thing as fuze photos. There might be mobile photos and pro photos, there is no point to focus on brand/model specific photos

Here is a pic I snapped at a Firefighter Survival training I attended.
I took this picture off a customer's balcony, great view in Dawsonville GA looking south toward ATL

Yes, there is a point to focus on brand/model specific photos.
The idea is to share photos made with the same device, to compare quality and find the best camera settings.

I think he was saying it should be TP not Fuze. I think the only TP that has anything dif about the cam is the Sprint one and its just the lack of the filter over the lense because the battery case is sealed.
damn these pics look good...I forgot that this is armed with a 3.2mp camera until now haha.

Just thought I'd ask a friendly group here, since you guys have your panorama working. When i switch to panorama on my phoneand attempt to take a photo it says, "Camera: Unable to capture photo. Disk full." I'm using 3GB of my 8GB card, so I know there is room on my card. I also tried saving it to main memory with no luck. I also tried switching it to the lowest quality and resolution, all with the same results. Any help would be appreciated.

Could it be that the new rom update messed up the Panaroma function?
Cant be, because when I flashed it I could still take panoramic pictures after, something happened recently that I cant figure out

Use an exif viewer to get the unique id of a photo. You can see in mine where is says LS. That means it's a Sony. If it says LL then it's an isocell.
My Verizon Galaxy S6 32GB Black shows LS with ExifViewer thank goodness, if it was Samsung sensor ISOCELL this phone would be back on Swappa. Clearly Sony IMX 214 sensor is better from all those comparison photos.
Still bummed that mine is isocell.
Verizon Galaxy S6 64 GB Black shows LS.
Thanks for the tip on how to check.
isocell on mine, works fine, really don't see what the big deal is. Not like most users are professional photographers. Many don't even know basic photography framing and shot selection.
The camera is better than any other camera I've had on a smart phone hands down. Refreshing to take a picture and the phone actually takes the picture rather than waiting for a while to make up its mind doing it.
**** mine is ISOCELL. gay! @MKBHD shoulda gave us a heads up what to look for! i got this phone cuz of his review!

Kinda dumb comment. Most likely didn't know at the time of his review that there were different types. Full research of the phone is your responsibility before you buy. Why didn't you know what to look for assuming it really matters.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the isocell. I owned both and they take some of the best photos I have seen from a smartphone. I recently tried multiple DSLR's and could not justify keeping any on them after comparing hundreds of photos. This is just one of many I have. There is no need to get bummed out because you don't have the Sony, it's pretty much a ego thing the way I see it. I am speaking of my former thoughts on the different sensors before the ego thing gets misinterpreted. Take a look and be happy....

Eh looking at the picture comaprisons I can't really see that big of a difference. I guess it's just knowing that Samsung pulled a bait and switch move is what pisses me off.

Keep in mind the photos I linked are the Canon Rebel Sl1 and the S6.
Here is another way to check what sensor you have without installing a EXIF viewer. Upload the pic to your computer, right click it, click on properties and then the detail tab. It will be under image ID.

This was at a little before 6am this morning. To my eye the sky was dark but the GS7 really does have a KILLER low light camera (it's practically like having night vision). I am impressed in every way by this phone so far.

Yep. There's noise but it was very dark and every other phone camera I have ever used would have only shown a couple of blurry street lights. There's detail there that I couldn't see with my eyes so I'm impressed even if you aren't.

Someone didn't read that with the naked eye it was extremely dark, and other cameras only show blobs of light from the street light.

I realize this isn't going to win any photography contests. I was just impressed because I couldn't see the clouds in the sky, most of the pond was an inky black spot, and most of the ducks weren't visible. Standing there in the dark looking at the scene then looking at the picture was a stark contrast.

Yes, that was on auto. I was out for my morning run and got curious as to what the GS7 would do with such a poorly (and oddly) lit scene so I pulled it out of my pocket, double tapped the home button, and took that picture in a matter of about 5 seconds. I am sure that someone who knows how to adjust the settings properly in 'pro mode' could take it much better.
As for the guy from the first comment.... I have now seen some of his other posts. I have had some pretty spirited debates about phone choices with my friends (IOS vs. Android) but to seek out a forum full of people using some other device just to throw shade is a special kind of odd to me.

I disagree, but we are all entitled to our own opinion. I've taken more pictures I can upload later tonight after my exam or tomorrow morning. The S7 tends to overexposure and was out images. I want them to fix that issue because otherwise it's great.

To be clear I like the S7E's camera, but I don't like the post processing Samsung does. It won't let me save a RAW image yet otherwise I could easily correct them in Photoshop CC2015. The 6P might have slightly darker images in areas, but it captures the true colors of things which I like. I'll post them up tonight/tomorrow because I have an exam at 1800-2000 as I mentioned.

I really love the Oneplus 6, top to bottom, don't care the missing of the stereo speaker or the notch (cause OOS seem to deal with it quite good)
The only issue keeps me from buying it is the camera. I have seen a lot of reviews and comments about the camera and they are pretty mixed which confused me.
I need the phone to last for about 3 years or so and I mainly use it when I travel and to takes photos. I heard that there are updates that fix things but still read that there are issues.
Can you guys give me your own opinion about the camera and if I should go for it or move to the Galaxy S8 plus?
P/s: quite sure that I will try to use Gcam instead on both phone, have it on my old phone and it absolutely surprised me cuz the image came out quite nice for such an old phone.
Not a fan of any brands (except Iphone which I don't really like, but I do like Ipad and I don't hate Apple by any means) so if you have other recommendation under $500 then feels free to say, so far I only see these 2 are the best for what my budget can buy.
Thank you for your helps.
It's right there with the best cameras. It beats then in certain shots and they beat it on certain shots in the comparison tests. I still think it might be a hair behind the likes of the s9, pixel 2xl and I think it's better then the iPhone overall. It's close in low light to them, as good if not better in good light and it handled the bright areas better then dinner of this phones in not blowing out the highlights.
I have zero complaints and I'm an enthusiast photographer. Unless I'm doing a wedding or something really important, I have no issues using this camera. It more then does the job. Of course you can get a shot it doesn't handle well, but every PHONE is the same way. None will replace a dslr

Wow glad to hear from a photographer, I would definitely pick OP 6 if I don't mind the camera as I used to, but planned to go on multiple vacations with it and personally loves to take scenery photos so your reply helps a bunch.
Gonna take another look and get the OP 6. My friend has a deal for it with about 100$ off
No, it's not worth it. Theres bad oil painting effect in low light. Pics are very hit and miss, some are great, some are awful and now I have dust under the lens and I have a black spot I can't get rid of on photos. I certainly couldn't recommend it.

Its not bad. On my recent trip to Canada and USA, I packed my Nikon 850. I took over 1200 pictures during my 2 weeks vacation. I might have used my Nikon for less than 75 shots. Convenience of phone camera outweighs the hassle of lugging a complete system. Unless you are taking pictures for a luving, this phone camera will be more than suffice to satisfy your shutterbug needs.
I strongly believe that it's not the camera but eye behind the camera that make or break the picture. If you are little dissatisfied with extremely low light shots, you can enhance in post production. Make sure to keep HDR option on. I had S8+ abd my wife still has S9 and I can tell you from a bormal viewing distance, you could not tell the difference apart. Remember, you can always switch to pro camera mode for better control. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I do really understand why you bring the links here but seriously I read all of those (except the video one since I'm not fond of that anyway, have like 1 or 2 videos taken with my 2.5 years old phone) and it's really confusing, some said good some said bad (and they do have evidence)
I check on xda (which tbh my trusty place to find user experience) and they are mixed.
I check on youtube with those reviewers I think that are not bs, and it's still mixed.
I check all those reviews on the internet and other forums, and it's still mixed.
I don't usually do these Q&A on XDA (this actually my first) because this is just too hard to decide this time.
Thanks you for your help but it yet solve my confusions.

That's interesting, I use it for my vacations and I love to take scenery shots (and probally a few shot with my friends or selfies but only a little as I don't like to take photos of myself or person in general)
I'm still yet decided if I stick with Samsung software or move to a custom rom since they both have pros and cons (and somehow I find the S8 forum is not really active?)
but I totally love the experience that I saw on the OP 6 so far.
If you have either of the phone or both, I would really love to hear more of your opinion, thank you.

I am not sure who and why they are saying about the dust issues. Absolutely no dust issues here. Previously posted shots are the proof. You would have noticed diffraction if there was any dust. To put your mind at ease, spend $2 and buy tempered glass lens protector on Amazon, eBay, or Aliexpress. I dont even use cover or screen protector for my phone (never have used for the last 15 years or so). Rather than worrying about protecting, enjoy by actually using the gadget-my two cents worth advice.
