Hi,
yesterday I've put my a700 out of the bag, it was very, really very hot, I tough something was still running and the battery is empty. At home I have recharged the battery and tried to start it in the evening. The A700 stuck in the unlock boot, but it was his latest sign of life =0(
Now it do not power on, dead, bye bye adios Acer A700!
A battery costs 95€! So I think I can buy a new tablet... the next one with guaranty extension (but I think this do not include the battery).
Bye bye A700 xda community.
:crying:
I wanted to thank Pawitp for his great work on the Cyanogenmod ROM, for me the best ROM for this device!

I just bought an Android 4.0 tablet from china on Wednesday and it worked perfectly till today. Now when I try to power on the tablet, it only goes up to the android logo and stops there and will stay there for hours. There was a little reset button on the tablet and i pressed it but that didn't help. Can someone please help me fix it ?
Remove your battery and try...if not work then replace.usually chinees phones have short life...
Hit thanks if it helps....
Hackdroid...
Its a tablet. I don't know how to remove the battery and I'm pretty sure the lifespan of a Chinese tablet is not 2 days.
May be its because of boot loader problem..approach to the tablet service centre...
Hit thanks if it helps....

china tablet product...hahaha good luck
Well I had one before and it lasted a long time until my brother broke it so I thought I would buy a new one.
Hello everyone.
Probably someone could give me an advice?
I have been using 701 Iconia for about two weeks and it was more or less ok.
Today it just does not turn on at all... I tried to turn it on both without charger and with it with the same result...
Any ideas on what should I try before giving it away to service?
:crying:
Push the reset button with a pin after plugging in the charger. Maybe it crashed and lost its charge.

Thanks for the tip.
Unfortunately did not help :crying:
Tomorrow I had to give it away as a present... so unlucky..
Don't feel too bad, it happens to the best of us. I just had my Acer A510 replaced too. It spent a week in Acer support before they decided that my gyroscope issue was irrepairable. I now have a shiny new tab, with a better microsd cover and better screen responsiveness.
I got a little intoxicated last night and was just using my tablet like usual when it suddenly stopped charging! lets start off by saying im rooted to version 4.1.1, kernel 3.0.31-471788 and its saying I'm a GT-P3100 but i got it as a gift, REFURBISHED as GT-P3113 (which probbably means the warranty is most likely void). Now here are the things I've tried...
- Resetting (still not even a signal of charging light)
- Power off (still nothing)
- Blowing the ports of the charger, the tablet, and the ends of the adapter like an N64 cartridge. (still nothing)
At this point i was convinced it was the charger when, as intoxicated as i was, i tried plugging my PHONE USB to the adapter and It worked perfectly fine for my phone. I'm stumped.
You guys are like android gods.. Help me out please!
P.s. theres a little juice in it and I wont kill the battery until I get a response cause im that much of a noob.. thanks guys
Your on the wrong forum. This is for 7.7, not GT 2 7.0
Please ask the forum mod to close and possibly have admin move to correct forum.

I'm stumped on this one... Nexus S 4g that's been retired from active duty for a few months since I upgraded to my Galaxy S3. I've been using it as a fancy MP3 player for a couple of months because I work in an environment where it takes a lickin' and I'm not concerned if it gets destroyed.
Sometime between Monday and today, the battery must have died. I figured, No Problem! I'll just plug her in! So I did, hit the power button, and it flashed the Google screen, then nothing. I figured maybe it was flat dead, so I let it charge for a couple hours, and the phone itself got warm, so presumably it charged some during that time. However now, I get no response from it whatsoever. Plugging it in doesn't show the battery charging screen like it used to with the power off. I tried pulling the battery and leaving it out for an hour, still to no avail. The charging cord is good as verified by my Galaxy S3. Is it just plain DOA? Is it time to write this one off?
Charge for awhile and attempt to go into recovery.
If that works then ur good. From there go to a backup, new ROM or the ROM u where already on(if its still working)
Good luck

Bricking HTC phones got very less chances .....like out of 100% HTC phones won't brick for 99.99% .
So try changing your battery...might help

It's definitly no a brick 'cause you did flashed your kernel and ROM successfully after rooting it. I've never heard of anyone who bricked his phone while he rooted it succesfully and had a working custom ROM on it.
Have you overclocked it, may the battery/chipsets died this way? Any scripts or tweaks on it?
Mhmmm...found this:
http://lifehacker.com/5853519/how-do-i-fix-my-bricked-android-phone
It says sth. about phones that won't turn on anymore
Dude ... Yeah Firstly .. trying changing The Batt. cause .. i have a feeling ur Battery has gone Bad ... :/ n try to clean ur like golden slots in battery .. Check if there is Carbon type thing in those ..
This may be the first case of bricking i've seen for Pico. Have a look at your battery, or the port in which your charger plugs in.
Do you charge with USB? I had a problem with my USB wire, it did not charge when connected to adapter, so i used my Samsung charger and charged the phone. So check your charging apparatus.
If everything is in vain, go to HTC Store and play dumb (i.e. "Sir i was using it and suddenly it did not start")
and Rule 1 in playing dumb: Never utter the "root" word, nor bootloader, its best if the store guy thinks you're a noob
Trust me, most of the time if you are within the warranty time they wont bother and give you a new phone, my friend once did with Micromax, and got it repaired free of cost.
