Android 4.4 Aosp Browser?!?!?! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

So I just tried a 4.4 ROM and while the ROM was fluid and very fast I had to switch back to 4.3 due to the fact that the new aosp browser basically sucks. It doesn't wrap text, is unresponsive at times, and has some issues with zooming. Hopefully this gets fixed.

Swipe lag/halt on 2.3.1

I have now finally my new Nexus S with the normal 2.3.1 software instead of the userdebug software. In general the phone is very fast. I still have problems with swiping from time to time. It is like it either doesn't register the swipe or that it halts while swiping. This can occur with stock home launcher as well as with ADW EX. It happens while swiping between home screens, scrolling in the browser or scrolling in the application launcher or market. I have to figure out if this is a bug in 2.3.1 or if this is a hardware problem. I had the same issues occasionally on my N1 with stock android but never had this problem on my Sense UI MT4G. I am not so impressed by Gingerbread that I would tolerate this issues.

[Q] Which kernels were compatible with CM10?

So,
I've gotten use to CM10. For months after EOS4 came around, it was ungodly slow. Even after switching off the media scanner, using a custom kernel, etc... the UI FR and general responsiveness was extremely lacking. It seems that it's been the Go-To ROM of choice for many, many months now, and the performance situation may have changed, but i'm hesitant to flash it, even if the only reason is that everything works great, other than a bit of bitrot here and there with CM10-- which brings me to my issue:
KAT kernel (version 69, of course (haha! seriously outdated)) seems to blow out my YouTube DPI, which can be fixed simply by setting the DPI to 150 or so n XPosed, and a quick dirty flash/ update kills the bitrot i run into every couple months...this time, however, i was clearing space, and organizing my .zips, when i decided it would be a brilliant idea to put all my AOSP ROMs together, all my mods & themes/addns together, and all my kernels together. The issue is, I cant for the life of me remember which kernel, and kernel version i was using! Besides the funky DPI behavior, KAT also introduces an extreme degree of video ghosting and stuttering.
I've tried a couple older kernels, but often, I'd find out the kernel was for ICS, and I'd be stuck at the boot screen.
Can someone please point me in the direction of 1-2 CM10 Kernels?
Bonus round: have the EOS issues been fixed definitively. Or do you still have to bang yuor head against the wall, look t your tablet upside down, and do some voodoo on it to get it workng?
I have never had issues like they with EOS4, so I cannot say if your issues are still around. Most users who have issues with EOS I believe did not do a factory reset, or restored system settings with Titanium Backup.
But, I would try the KatKernel 103 lidpatch CM10.1 version:
http://downloads.timduru.org/android/tf101/K.A.T/kernel/Tim_KatKernel_103_JB4.2_Lidpatch_CM10.1.zip
Edit - this is a cm10.1. If you are still on CM10, 69/70 are the most recent compatible ones.

Recent Apps Lag

I've noticed that Marshmallow software from our mighty Samsung suffers from some modest recent apps screen lag. Moving through apps cards feels a bit stuttery and heavy (whereas everything else is lightning fast and smooth as butter). Am I the only one experiencing this? I feel like it came out some time after performing a factory reset. I'm running the latest version of XtreStoLite ROM, clean cache everyday (with SDMaid) and don't use crappy apps like for example Facebook which slow Android down significantly.
BTW,
I remember that I used to use some custom kernel for some short period of time (arter kernel probably?) and the problem seemed to be completely gone as I recall. Maybe that's the stock kernel related issue then

What should I do with a rooted 4.4.2 P-905?

So yeah I'm on rooted 4.4.2 on a P-905 and slowly more problems have been showing up with various apps, especially youtube and chrome. I haven't been able to watch 60fps videos on youtube without huge lag and it crashes daily. Chrome lags from time to time and things like switching tabs randomly causes the tab to glitch out and display something like a cropped bit of the screen repeatedly. Doesn't stall the tablet itself though. More recently it's also been shutting down by itself at any battery percentage, sometimes rebooting and sometimes not.
Anyway, what should I do? Deal with the problems and stick to 4.4.2, go to lollipop official (of course I can't ota since software update detects modified software) or try some custom rom like lineage or resurrection?

How many users are unhappy with Android Pie and want go back to Oreo

Perhaps Pie has better performance and battery, but i still prefer Oreo because has better features to me like brightness, Wifi more stable, funcional Dolby, calls record, no disturbing alarm clock,etc..
What do you think?
I liked OOS Oreo because it was faithful to stock Android. With Pie, they changed the design of the phone, settings, etc. apps to a cheaper looking design. I really like the new transition animations and the notification management, but the design is inconsistent, the recent apps screen is buggy even in the final release. These small things end up irking me. It seems unfinished, unpolished while Oreo was buttery clean and smooth. I'll probably revert to it once I have some time to spare.
Ha
FAIL
For me, i like the added smoothness and the changed System UI, others could disagree with me (it's totally fine no hatred) but it's more prominent compared to oreo.
Personnaly i have battery problems compared to oreo , the pie battery seems much worse...
I would like to go back to oreo for that reason
Android Pie
pie bring so many change like typing magnifier, volume slider at the right position but the thing i love the most is the animation, its look so much better than oreo. Though it have some catch, pie recent panel like....nah
Dunno what everyone else's issues are with Pie. My phone is significantly improved as regards battery, auto brightness works (hint, you have to turn it on), no problems at all with it.
Then again, I upgraded from a freshly wiped phone, I didn't upgrade over a whole lot of junk apps.
I updated from latest Oreo rooted TWRP with ex kernel to Pie. Flashed in TWRP, flashed TWRP reboot to recovery and flashed 17.2 Magisk and all way fine. I wiped cache in phone and recovery and no battery issues at all. Slightly better then Oreo. Not really a fan of the new settings (gotta embrace change) other than that, Pie is a big time go!
