[Q] Lost Wake Tablet via Dock on JB Update

Before I upgraded to JB, I used to be able to wake the device (turn on the screen) by hitting any key on the keyboard. I seem to have lost this ability after upgrading to JB.
Anyone have a similar issue?
Thanks!
Yep noticed this yesterday myself.
Opening the dock or the old fashioned way of doing it with the power button seems like the only way for now.

Go to Asus custom setting and make sure dock power saving is not checked. By default, I think it is checked. I took the check out and now works.
I knew there was something somewhere.
Cheers mate.
I am having the same problem so I checked and removed the check mark in the Asus custom settings and it seemed to work. A little while later after the tablet went to sleep it would not wake up without pushing the power button. I'm on a bone stock TF700 (unrooted). Any ideas?
Thanks!

I went there and it was already unchecked.
Still having the problem. If it helps, I am rooted.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've been aware of this issue from the first day on JB. When I flashed the OTA it was off, so after the flash it was still off. However, it didn't work. I had to turn it on then back off and it worked again. For a little bit. Its a very wonky feature now.

[Q] My Transformer locked. What can I do?

So someone decided it was funny to keep on trying to get my password and eventually locked the whole thing. You can unlock this buy logging in to your email but the wifi on it is turned off. The tablet is rooted. I just don't want to do a factory reset so is there any other way to unlock it?

uhmmm maybe try and reboot ??
You don't happen to have a USB-to-ethernet adapter, do you?
Maybe this helps
Hard Reset
A hard reset (also known as a factory reset) will clear all data and settings from the memory of the device and set it back to factory default settings. You can perform hard reset on the Asus Eee Pad using the Android OS menus or the hardware buttons.
Method 1
1. Power the Eee Pad off.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button on the left side of the device, then press and hold the Power button.
3. Continue to hold both buttons until a bootloader screen appears.
4. Wait for the prompt that says to “Press <VOL_UP>” then press the Volume Up button to start the process.
The Asus Eee Pad will complete the hard reset process and reboot into a factory default state.

I think I might have one at home. Will that connect the internet automatically?
If the adapter has the right chipset and stuff, yes. If you know anybody with an Apple USB-to-ethernet adapter, that one should work too.
Does the reset hole work? I think there is a small hole by the micro HDMI port that you can put a pin or paperclip into and reset. I don't have my pad with me at work, but I feel like I remember using this once for a similar reason.

Is this:

A possible solution?
Can't you just unlock it from ADB? Since its not letting you input the password anymore, then I don't know if this will work.
But here's the command to try to unlock it anyway.
If its a pattern, then try this "rm /data/system/gesture.key"
If its a password or pin, try this "rm /data/system/password.key"
Don't forget to ask for SU permissions first.

[Q] Touchscreen re-calibration?

Hi all - my TF700 has been solid for about 9 months, but this past weekend the touchscreen started getting wonky and now it will work for 5-10 seconds and then not register any touches, until the power button is toggled to put it to sleep and then wake up and go through the process again. In my research, it appears as if this can be addressed through recalibration of the Touchscreen.
However, I don't even know if that's possible with my current stock/rooted setup. I did try booting into recovery, but I saw the RCK/Android/Wipe Data prompts, and didn't want to go anywhere without knowing what each would do. I'm guessing maybe the Android button, but I'm not sure.
Is there an easier way to recalibrate the touchscreen without doing a factory reset, or going to a new ROM yet?
Thanks!
This may be a hardware problem with the digitizer going bad. I would contact Asus, they probably will recommend a factory reset and you should try that anyway.
But a custom rom will not take care of this problem - at least I do not think this is software related....
Good that you are still under warranty!
FYI:
RCK will boot into the stock recovery which will not do anything unless you have an update file downloaded somewhere on your storage - it'll just show you an Android falling over with it's belly open a ! triangle. Scary if you don't know what it is! LOL
Android will boot you back into your system. This is a so called 'cold boot' and you could try that. I doubt it'll help, but it won't hurt either.
Wipe Data does exactly what it says. You better have everything you care about backed up before you execute that command.
You use the Volume Down button to navigate between the icons and the Volume Up to execute.

Hmmm. after enabling Developer mode (so I could d a Titanium backup), I decided to enable the touch sensing, and what I've found is that it appears as if there is a spot in the northeast quadrant (while holding vertically, with buttons on the right/dock connector on the left) that gets stuck in the 'touched' sense (the little dot sticks, and in the kindle reader, it acts like the text is selected).
Sometimes it gets unstuck when pressing the power button to sleep, and then re-logging in via the lockscreen code I have set. Sometimes it doesn't. I guess I'll contact support and see if I can capture it on video with my phone.

Lock screen lag/slowness?

Hey everyone I noticed that if I have notifications and unlock my phone (swipe and fingerprints), it's pretty fast to unlock however if I'm on the lock screen and click a notification (perhaps a text or Snapchat), then unlock the device, it's slow as hell. Can anyone else confirm this? Any ideas as to why it's slow when you select a notification then unlock the device?
Yeah, I've noticed my lockscreen has always been very buggy when opening notifications from it. I always unlock first and then go to the notification menu now. So far I haven't heard anything about how to fix it.

It's not really a big deal but it's kind of annoying seeing as this is a flagship device. I don't remember having this issue with my Note 3.
No doubt. I've never had the issue on any of my previous devices either. Hopefully we get marshmallow soon (and by soon I mean sometime in the middle of next year) and then it won't be an issue anymore.

Go through recovery mode and clear cache in that. Should speed up unlocking. Common issue so far. Other than that the only other thing fixing it is a reset of just settings

Hm, what do you mean recovery mode and clearing cache "in that"? Can you list the steps involved?

Yea you have to have your phone off.
While it's off hold the home power and volume up buttons all together.
Keep them help untill you see it say recovery booting in the upper left in blue.
Let go of the buttons then
Use the volume down button to scroll the the wipe cache option.
Use the power button to select.
When it shows wipe complete at the bottom you then scroll up to reboot now

Phone Calling Issue?

I'm on stock rooted. Whenever I try to call someone, I dial the number, hit the call button and it kicks me out of the dialer app and puts me back onto my launcher screen. Anyone else noticing this issue? I haven't disabled any apps.
EDIT: Weird. Rebooted and it didn't fix it. Powered down, powered back up and it's working again. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue? I'm on T-Mobile.

Never seen that issue. Also on T-Mobile. Next time a weird thing happens try holding power button till it hard reboots. I have other weird issues some times. I think xposes causes them. Hard reboot fixes it.
