[Q] Samfirmware problem - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

I have a problem and the problem is when i download samfirwares, it only gives me one file. im trying to bring my phone back to life by bringing it back to stock rom. but the problem is there's only one file which is an MD5 file. From all these tutorials i have seen, they all have like more files to put in odin such as files for pda, bootloader, pit, phone, csc etc... my galaxy sl i9003 is from UAE so i have the I9003JPKPM PDA or something. can someone please help me?
Sorry if you don't understand some parts, it's hard to explain.

Decompress those files and inside tou will see 5 files (bootloader, phone, modem, csc, latona.pit)

The files are
boot.bin, cache.rfs, modem.bin, normalboot.img, param.lfs, Sbl.bin, system.rfs

Any stable firmware. Kindly share the link.
Thank you in advance

Not every firmware have 5 or 4 files.
First download xxkpe it has all file and flash with odin and then download official ddlf2 value pack it has new feature of gb rom.
Hit like if i Helped... :good:

flash the xxkpe than flash your stock rom

[Q] plz post a download link for clockworkmod recovery

hey guys
i want to reflash my cwm recovery (v6.x )but i cant find a download link. i tried cwm manager app but it has no official recovery for i9003
I dont know what information u all about my phone to find a recovery so. . .
iam running xgamerz v3 [4.1.2].
and is there any way to flash a recovery without going into recovery mode ? because i cant iam having an issue with rebooting into recovery.
thanx in advance.
The recovery is merged with the kernel, there r no separated img for recovery for 9003. U can just flash the boot.img from rom zip file but must tar it for odin.

Not sure about how, but since dhiru done that before so, it is able to flash kernel using odin. Dhiru had ask some tester to flash test kernel with odin to test backlight bug.

i guess the boot.img file gave an error bcoz it was corrupted. so i had uploaded a new one http://db.tt/k1wakDI6 and thanx for ur help ill ask for their help
@chongns
Rename boot.img to normalboot.img and run
Code:
tar -cvf kernel_PDA.tar normalboot.img
It's like for stock kernels. If you have to flash bootloaders, efs, pit, param, normalboot and recovery there's no need to do a repartition and the flashable stuff is for both CM and stock. Everything else (system, userdata, cache, modem) require a repartition.
Anyway, I didn't try to unpack the kernel, but if you get that errors it means that the files for recovery are somewhat corrupted. Flashing a kernel with ODIN will fix the problem.
@swapnilpx
Here I uploaded the last 2.6.35 kernel I built for CM10, flashable with ODIN. The file is kernel2_PDA.tar. It should work with the ROM you are running since it's based on my CM10.

thanks loSconosciuto, i know that magic, just did not know we can simply rename it.
cause i though it should be different cause CM kernel have 2 stage of compression.

Thanks Lot
found this page:
http://samsung-updates.com/details/....1_3G_plus_WiFi/GT-P5100/XEF/P5100XXDMH1.html
the "Stock Firmware" is the france 4.2.2 rom.
the "Kernel File(Odin flashable)" should be the boot file you need.
i can't download them in china, you could download them and flash as your own risk.

Help flashing S5 with MOAR 7 Please

I have a Sprint S5 that i already have rooted. It has lollipop 5 on it currently. I would like to upgrade it to MOAR 7.
Can someone please help me or show me a step by step?
I did the root before with no problem but cant figure out how to do it again or upgrade.
Maybe this will help, i have odin 3 open but cant seem to find the file or folder i need to flash MOAR 7.
Custom roms like MOAR are flashed through a custom recovery, not Odin.
---------- Post added at 02:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:36 PM ----------
On top of that, there are very detailed instructions in the first post of the MOAR thread.
Oh ok it said to use odin. So what do i use?
Sent from my SM-G900P using XDA Free mobile app
Re-read it. Use Odin to flash the tar for the latest firmware, flash a custom recovery with Odin, flash MOAR. It's all laid out there.

Thanks for all the help i got it done. The 1 thing i did notices is when you need to place the file on your phone just do it as a full zip file not the extracted folder.

Android 6.0.1 - Failed Odin Flash Hidden.img

So anytime I try to flash the 6.0.1 firmware, odin always fails at 'hidden.img'. I can confirm it is the correct firmware for my phone.
I've tried the method of flashing hidding.img.tar and then modem.bin, but still no luck (Just sticks my phone onto the thing that tells me to use emergency function on smart switch)
(I can always get my phone working again as it is working now, but I am dying to get up to 6.0.1 asap so any help would be appreciated)
Cheers

I had this problem too and i didn't know how to solve it. If you really want 6.0.1 flash one of the availible custom roms.
