Help flashing S5 with MOAR 7 Please - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Sprint S5 that i already have rooted. It has lollipop 5 on it currently. I would like to upgrade it to MOAR 7.
Can someone please help me or show me a step by step?
I did the root before with no problem but cant figure out how to do it again or upgrade.
Maybe this will help, i have odin 3 open but cant seem to find the file or folder i need to flash MOAR 7.

Custom roms like MOAR are flashed through a custom recovery, not Odin.
---------- Post added at 02:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:36 PM ----------
On top of that, there are very detailed instructions in the first post of the MOAR thread.

Oh ok it said to use odin. So what do i use?
Sent from my SM-G900P using XDA Free mobile app

Re-read it. Use Odin to flash the tar for the latest firmware, flash a custom recovery with Odin, flash MOAR. It's all laid out there.

Thanks for all the help i got it done. The 1 thing i did notices is when you need to place the file on your phone just do it as a full zip file not the extracted folder.

flash using Odin 3.09 and place modem.bin in the CP space in Odin

Modem works on MK6 bootloader.... not sure about older versions... you will have mk6 if you took the stock 4.3 update before rooting and such.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537495&page=251
From post 2505
Steps should be like this:
1. Start Odin 3.09 on your PC
2. Click CP button and browse for your GSM/LTE .tar file
3. Power phone off completely
4. Enter download mode (press POWER until vibrate, then press the VOL-DOWN button immediately, then VOL-UP to confirm)
5. Connect USB to phone+PC. Odin's ID:COM should then turn blue to show that it's seen the device
6. Click the Start button to flash

No luck. It won't stick. Tried flashing twice without restarting using Odin 3.09 and used the extracted modem.bin in the CP section.

Your problem as near as I could tell from your posts was trying to install the new firmware on a 2 API Level old bootloader. Completely different.
[edit] looking back on it, looks like you blindly flashed the CP package on to what looks like KOT9H from your post history, without reading up on how to appropriately flash a mismatched modem.
Tried flashing this using odin but no luck. It wont stick. Any other method?

Please do a search on the forums for modem flashing for the i337m and follow those instructions. If you have trouble, please refrain from flashing the modem.
Unless you know what you are doing, you can cause all sorts of trouble for yourself.
Unless you can learn to do it through quick searches, You likely shouldn't be doing it.

Wifi Issue
Hey Guys,
I took the 4.4 update from Rogers using Kies as i was getting the custom error.
I took the NC1 Modem file to match my firmware as it didnt update when the OS updated and everything is working properly except for my Wifi which i cannot turn it on.
Now will the NON-HLOS fix this issue for me or will i need to re-install the OS
I tried to do factory reset, used odin to apply the modem file and do another factory reset.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks.

Thank you for replying.
I am familiar with baseband flashing though my question was more related to the NON-HLOS partition. I've searched extensively for information about NON-HLOS only to see it labelled as a "WiFi fix" with no additional information. With this lack of information, NON-HLOS compatibility with older bootloaders is certainly not something that has been extensively discussed here or elsewhere.
In any case, I'm still after this information and was wondering if others have any insight.
Just updated to NC1 from MDJ (Bell) and can confirm everything is working great!
Thanks!

grab the recovery.img of your stock recovery from a firmware package. open the flashable zip of your current recovery and delete recovery.img from that archive. drag and drop the stock recovery.img to that flashable zip. then flash through cwm recovery you have.
*note: i am guessing the name of recovery image in the flashable zip is recovery.img. if its other than this name then change it to the img name in the flashable zip. :fingers-crossed:

I do not wish to overahadow this thread with another issue. Though, for the sake of information:
1. Uncompress the file and change the name of the folder in which you have the recovery files to anything you like.
2. Move that folder to your desktop
3. Now on your phone, enable USB Debugging and Unknown Sources.
4. Connect your device to computer and run the .bat file in the extracted folder on your computer.
5. Press any key when prompted. The phone will reboot into recovery if successful.
6. You Now have CWM based Recovery on phone.
First two steps aren't necessary, but the folder contains special characters that may interfere with ADB. At least it happened in my case, thus the precaution.

Has anyone had the same problem?
It sounds like your phone is running the newer firmware. You have to flash the full ogd firmware, oa6 firmware will not flash over any of the newer ones.

Clockwork recovery isn't supported for the Note 5. Twrp recovery is what you have to use.
At this point, you can try to flash twrp through Odin or get the stock tar and go back to stock and start the root and flash recovery process again.
Yea what he said. Stock via odin and restarting. The easiest thing would be is to download twrp and flash it via odin. The system/rom should be fine it just the recovery
