Music Player - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

I'm looking for the stock Music Player for the S4. I deleted it with Titanium backup because I never really used it, but I have a use for it now. I've searched for the apk and havnt had any luck. I would even settle for a Titanium Backup file.

Odin back to stock and stop deleting things.

Just pull it out of a tw rom zip. Any TW rom will work

This is definitely far enough on this discussion. Flaming and disrespect are not tolerated on XDA.

What is better . . Titanium backup paid ( vs/+)rom manager premium vs rom toolbox pro

not even a question, titanium hands down. U can migrate your apps to different phones, and across roms, with market links intact. Plus it lets u freeze and uninstall apps with root privileges, as well as ability to extract apks from nandroid backups. Its an absolute power house. There's a reason its a top seller.

Titanium backup - because its simple but powerful.
And most importantly its stable - there is little that can go wrong with this.
titanium cause you can move apps across when u change your roms

glad u got it sorted
Sorry to resurrect this thread but I figure better to do that than ask basically the same question (Search function does work people!)
I just got a copy of Rom Toolbox Pro (it's on sale BTW) and I noticed it has a backup feature. I've been using TB free for all my backup needs. I see the overwhelming consensus has been to use TB Pro, but what about TB Free VS Rom Toolbox Pro? One thing I don't understand is the comment, "You can move apps around when you change roms." I'm assuming you mean backing up in 1 ROM then restoring them in the new ROM. RTP can't do that simple feature? That seems rather odd..
ROM Toolbox is by far better than both, but I'll always stick with Titanium Backup for all my backups. It is very fast and organized. ROM Toolbox I bought for all the ROM management features, app management, ad blocking, root file explorer. It is nice to have all of them in one. So I say buy both, don't be cheap. Support the developer.
GooManager is also another good app to look into. I use that as well and it is free.

"You can move apps around when you change roms." - means you can backup all your apps and their data and simply restore it again on new ROM
if u have free TB version than u have to restore all ur apps manually bt if u have pro version then it restores all ur apps automatically.
check this video for all features of TB

if its only TB v/s ROM toolbox pro, then i will go with rom toolbox pro as it gives u root browser and u can flash roms too
but for app backup and restore tb is best works flawlessly

Didn't know this about the Pro version. Time to buy! Thanks for the info. Button thanked!
TB is the better option.... been using it since I said on this thread. Tested both.

Tested them both as well. I use TB for backup reasons while rom toolbox to change fonts, LCD density and other minor things.
I keep a copy of TB on the sd card so that I install it as soon as I install a new rom.

i think, titanium backup pro is most important, because so many function, like backup & restore,
and also romtoolbox,

Svoice (Latest versions)

I don't see a thread about this in our forums. I think we need a thread to upload the latest versions of svoice so we can use it while running custom ROMs. I would put a download link but I need to put it in my drop box first. I'm busy at the moment of posting this though and only have a few seconds. So it would be helpful for someone to post the latest version.

I agree 100%. I pulled the app from a ROM and tried to put install it into mine, and even messed with the permissions but cannot get it to speak back to me. Fully functional otherwise, just no voice.
Well it looks like no ones gonna pose this so moderators can delete it if they want. I'll figure out how to post an s voice app later. I only have the ICS version tho.

I did a nandroid of my stock SGS III ROM but I can't find a way to pull the apk from it. Titanium says there is no data in the cwm backup. But there is. Oh well, I can live without it, or at least until someone else figures it out.

Okay. I found the initial release s voice (Called voicetalk.apk) on the internet. Install this as a regular apk if you want (it works fine for me like that but a little buggy.) I've heard it works better if installed as a system app though. Let me know if its still buggy as a system app and I'll lull a jellybean version of this apk from an official jellybean toutchwiz rom if it doesn't work right.

Of cource the apps that rely on the toutchwiz frameworks will NOT be compatible. But I still find s voice somewhat useful.

Stock ICS without bloat?

Just upgraded from the Infuse and HOLY CRAP what a difference. The Infuse, in some ways was really a misstep for Sammy. Hardware just didn't really work well. Anyway...
Looking through ROMs I was hoping to find a stock ICS where someone had pulled out the bloat. I didn't see it, but I may have missed it.
Thanks, and glad to have switched forums! Ha.

Agreed - it's a good ROM if you are looking for something close to stock with options. Only a few small issues of stability so far.
Root the stock ROM then debloat (disable apps first) yourself
would agree about embryo. stock, debloated.. unless you choose to add it. he built in a nice rom customizer as well. personally, didnt have any problems with it.

Just root and install Titanium Backup. There should be a freeze list in one of the stickies. You do not have to install a different rom at all.
I recommend that you just freeze the apps. If you uninstall them, you will have to reflash your phone with the stock rom if you want to send to Sammy or take it back to AT&T...
You can also just make a complete TiBU of the entire phone and save on your computer then restore them when you want to get rid of the phone in a legit way...

No need for a titanium backup or anything...I just disable an app (like yahoo finance or whatever crap) from all apps section in settings ..then I delete the .apk file from /system/app (and the .odex if the rom is not deodexed)..After any debloat you will have to flash the whole stock rom anyway if you get a big system problem (or restore a nandroid if you made a backup .. Which I hugely advice to do before messing with the phone)

I kinda like Splanner app of Samsung and a few more apps. Thats the only reason i went back to stock after the cyanogen10 rom. (also the inability to do video calls was a downer for C10). Is it possible to remove the apps post installation after rooting the tab?

Yeah use tibu to freeze or delete what you want.
WOW I can't believe how much problems I'm having with this tablet. I flashed cleanrom it ran horribly, I flashed another stock rom with no bloat, I keep getting messages on my gallery, can't open up youtube, trying to watch a tv show sample hard locks the device. I'm just going to put the stock rom on can anybody point me in the right direction with a stock rooted rom with nothing else. Thank you

installing 4.4 all my apps are not redownloaded

hello
i normally use the codefire 4.3 ROM, installed the karbonkitkat, and one thing that was a bit annoying was the fact that all my apps werent redownloaded? i had to through and individually install them...
anytime i re-rommed using another codefire nightly buid, all my apps were pulled down again...
or is there someting i can force to get all the apps downloaded as normal?
is this by design because its a different android version?
thanks
g
Why don't you just use Titanium Backup to backup your apps? Restoring from TiBu is so much easier than restoring through the Play Store. Even if you don't want to do it that way usually at least you will have a backup for cases like this. In my honest opinion, every single unlocked/rooted phone should have Titanium installed, it's the single most important app for rooted devices.

Hi.
If I don't want to use titanium, can you think of any reason why apps are not coming down post flash? Slimkat works, gummy not....
I have checked backup/restore options during setup...
I don't know. Why don't you want to use Titanium? It'd totally save your butt in situations like this.
