[Q] Can you change which settings are in the notification bar panel? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone
So I used to have a Galaxy s3 and used Cyanogenmod and you could change which settings appeared in the quick settings panel in the notification bar, but I can't find that option anywhere on my Nexus 5, does anyone know if this is possible? Or is it just a feature of CM that isn't on the Nexus 5?
Thanks!

Sadly this is not a feature that stock android supports gonna have to wait till the CM team come out with CM11 that or some Dev makes a ROM which includes it, personally this was one of my favourite features of CM

Oh okay, I thought might be the case. Thank you

[Q] About a possible modification

I'm just wonderibng if anyone knows of a modification, or patch that will put the statusbar clock in the center of the statusbar for CM9? I've searched and searched and keep coming up empty. I love running CM9 buty I hate having my clock on the right side. Does anyone know of a mod that would put my clock in the center?
I have found a thread that takes me thru the steps of doing this manually, but I cannot compile the SystemUI.apk. No matter what I try, it just will not compile, and I'm tired of trying. So please, anyone?
Best answer is to just flash a ROM that supports it. AOKP for example. Sounds like a lot less work and the ROM is great.

rom control is force closing due to the fact you used many cm implemnetations?i red times ago that using rom control of aokp on roms with cm part (like you do,lockscreen ,performace tab etc)can fc's romcontrol and is hard to have both..i remenber right?
Yes you're right, the aokp stuff doesn't fit in right with the cm settings, since aokp does so much more than cm, I'll probably use aokp settings w/ ROM control insted next time, and that would probably get the theme manager/chooser working

ROM Control or similar is a complete deal breaker for me with Galaxy Nexus and nexus 7 Roms. If there isnt some control over the ROM i.e NAV Bar tweaks and Toggle tweaks, I cant enjoy the ROM. Basically Im stuck with AOKP, Codename Android and a few others. At this point in time with these Nexus devices out now for a few months we should be getting some top notch ROms
I hear ya there

[Q] I want the awesomeness of MIUI w/o the bulkiness

So I was thinking Ill just go back to using cyanogenmod 4.1. My problem is, though, I adore that nifty "hold home key down on lock screen for 3 seconds" for the torch on MIUI. My question to you is, can I have the lightness of cyanogenmod stock jb with the awesomeness of the torch? If so, where can I get it? Thanks in advance.
First off its miui
And why not just add a status bar toggle for torch? You can pull down the status bar while on the lock screen and enable the torch
I'm also a fan of the feature but I haven't seen it in another aosp ROM

I thought it would be great to be able to do the torch thing like it does. It's neat. And I wouldn't know how to make a toggle for torch anyway.

You'd just enable it in notification bar. Simple

How can I add that Brightness Slider to CM10??

Hey guys. So Ive looked a bit everywhere in XDA so I wanted to ask how to add that Brightness Slider in the Notification Panel. Like the one with the Galaxy S3. Thanks..
I use power toggle from play store. You can add to notification slide.
Hope this helps.

That's an aokp feature. You may flash a ROM which has both cm and aokp features like black bean 6, helly bean 4.1.2 etc.

[Q] Navigation Buttons*

I was wondering if there was a way I could switch the positions of the navigation buttons. What I want to do is place my recents button where my back button, and back button where the recents button is. Is there way I can do that on stock rooted Nexus 5?

You have to be on a custom ROM for navbar customization.

Purity is very stable! FYI other custom roms have this feature too.
