no i dont have any custom kernel..
I am experiencing this also with no beastmode.
It is however fairly rare, maybe once every few days (that I notice).
I was just going to wait it out until the next release to see if it resolved the issue.
Same here. My reboots happen a few times a day. I rooted from 2.20.

I had bad reboots with viperxl latest and bundled kernel. Went to clean Rom and cleankernel and all is well now

[Q] Kernels & Team Venom ViperXL 2.4.1 Question

Ok People,
I have the HTC One X AT&T I have installed Team Venom ViperXL 2.4.1 Sense 4.1.
My question is this,
Which Kernel should i use for better performance?, Better Battery?
I once tried installing a different kernel and OC'ed once i did that i got stuck in a boot loop.
Also i am not familiar with Under Voltage,
Can Someone who has the HTC One X AT&T and Venom ViperXL 2.4.1 Rom installed with different Kernel tell me what kind of setting you are using. OC? UC? and OV? or UV? that are stable and giving you good performance and battery
let me know
Thanks
I use elemental underclocked to 1.35

what about under voltage and over voltage?
and you running under-clocked at 1.35 does that mess with performance at all? and how the battery life?

Thx 954wrecker :good:
It comes down to trial and error since each phone reacts different to certain settings. I tried different speeds and I honestly can't tell the difference between 1.3 and 2.0 on battery or on speed.

Ok i am having a problem here.
i downloaded and installed Elementalx kernel
Now stuck at Viper Boot Screen since 20 minutes
what do i do now?
I do have the stock kernel downloaded also i can go back to stock, but why Elementalx will not boot?
Not sure but both viper and elementalx have forums with questions and answers for issues like this. I never had problems so I don't remember the answers sorry.

how about Beast kernel, any good?
Try it, many people prefer it. Maybe you have issues based on the newer 2.2 firmware and hboot 1.14?

Elemental will work fine with viper 2.4.1 (but not Viper 3 jelly bean)
Did you try again? Maybe the installer didn't complete properly the first time.
Do you have hboot 1.14? It will try to install on hboot 1.14 and may take a long time. For some people it won't install on 1.14 and you have to fastboot flash.
But if you can install stock kernel from recovery, you can install elementalx from recovery.

Will you be making a compatible kernel for Viper XL 3.0 JB ? Been using your kernel on previous versions of Viper with good results. Thanks flar2

[Q] Beastmode Reloaded Kernel

Hello, I'm running Viper XL 4.2.0 on HTC One X Evita and I need to download beastmode kernel.
I have searched in the forums but cannot find the actual file, these links are no longer working(or I can't find the kernel)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2165880
http://nosroms.com/?developer=Evita
Why do I need this? I recently wiped my device and tried to load cm10.x on it and it failed, I went back to Viper and the kernel that comes with it randomly reboots my device and drops signal and phone calls.
HTC One X Evita
Viper XL 4.2.0
Now on CWM Touch 6.0.2.8 but may go back to TRWP
Any Help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I will need to go back to a galaxy vibrant with a messed up screen, but working signal.
You didn't search the thread before posting this did you. There's a link to Beastmode 3.5 in the last few pages.

After more searching, I found it here.
That's exactly what I was talking about, but the idea is to search properly before creating a thread.

[Bubba Kernel] Stuck on HTC screen

Hi,
I'm trying to flash the Bubba Kernel (Also tried torch kernel) latest onto my HTC One XL and it keeps getting stuck at the HTC screen (looping infinitely) without even loading the ROM.
Info:
HTC One XL evita (Not the international, so I'm on the right forum)
S-OFF
Super CID
hboot 2.18 (i.e. ATT Firmware 5.18)
PACMAN 4.4 ROM
Please help.
Have you tried the QV version of the Bubba kernel or only the standard version?

I am on the same HBOOT and ROM with Torched 4.3 noOC ad noVC version without issues.
If you had read the last page of the bubba kernel development thread, you would know that most if not all are currently unable to flash the latest version. The slightly older version seems to work. The developer is working on it.

[Solved] Installed Torched-KK-noOC-noVC.Build4.3
FYI, tried slightly older versions of bubba kernel bubba_kernel-2014-05-19_QV_Elite.zip and bubba_kernel-2014-05-24_QV_Elite.zip
Both initially worked but later started causing boot loops. The kernel developer has acknowledged this bug and has said he's fixing it.
Meanwhile I've switched to Torched-KK-noOC-noVC.Build4.3 and it is quite stable.
