I just unboxed and connected my Nexus 5, i cant find the camera app anywhere in the phone and when I download a third party camera app it only lets me use the front camera, no option to change cameras. The front camera works fine. Any ideas?

Try a factory reset. If that doesn't help then you need to do an RMA.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure what went wrong just now. I couldn't set the camera's flash and focus settings because those options were greyed out.
I've cleared the camera app data and now it works fine.

Coming from a Galaxy S3, the only thing I miss about my old phone compared to Nexus 5 is the camera app / functions.
One feature in particular is the ability to pause the video recording and resume recording the same file. On Nexus5 I have to record numerous short videos and then stitch them to a final video. I gave Camera Awesome a try and it looks great for taking photos, but it doesn't have the pause video recording functionality.
Anybody tried a decent camera app that has this specific function ?

This cannot be a Samsung only feature, I'm sure I have seen it on other phones
Google is working on a fix for the camera, I would just wait for that. It should be soon.

Hi guys, I bought the nexus 5 32gb on the play store a week ago, now I realize that in the camera does not have the option to activate the front cam. I've tried using other apps, factory reset, safe mode, but nothing .. Has anyone had the same problem? I need to request the replacement?

RMA it. If it's not available in camera and you haven't modified the ROM or kernel, then it's hardware

Hi,
I have the oneplus one since 10 days. Today I've realized focus in the back camera is not working.
When I access to the main camera app, I hear a little click and image is blurred. I try to focus but the camera doesn't focus.
You can see the result in the attached photo.
I've tried other camera apps and the result is the same.
Front camera works perfectly. See second attachment.
I've opened a ticket to oneplus support but still no response. Do you think it could be a hardware problem?

Yeah, it's clean.
I cleaned twice and it's still not working. In addition the click that I hear makes me think there is a hardware problem with the camera.
