Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure what went wrong just now. I couldn't set the camera's flash and focus settings because those options were greyed out.
I've cleared the camera app data and now it works fine.

I had that I just restarted my phone and it worked fine.
I had the same issue before when I was video chatting with my friend to test it out. Try updating to the latest version too.

I confirm. After updating Qik. It doesn't switch to the front camera anymore. POS lol. But other apps it works. Sucks we can't deny the update right? I tried uninstalling the update but once I open the Qik app it asks to update and won't let me get out of it to use it.
Everyone email [email protected] so they can fix the problem.

Just installed it to overcome icarus Android 2.3.3 and it didn't work at all app remains the same without the option for video calls :-\

Yeah mine just says rebooting the whole time. Im using overcome 2
It has the icon called "talk" still but cant uninstall that its preloaded in Android tab with overcome.
I gave the install superuser priv but says rebooting the whole time.
i managed to run it my galaxy tab gsm (EUR) but how do i switch to the front cam?
Running it on stock rooted spring sgt and its great. Install silky smooth. No complaints, well except that it requires root.

I tried to install it this way and it went like a breeze on my i9003. However, only the rear camera works. By the way, where are the options to switch to front camera?

Ok so I just put MIUI onto my phone and I love it however I have a question I'm hoping someone might have an answer for.
When using the camera/ camcorder in landscape mode the pictures/videos save in portrait mode. Is this a common issue with ROMs for this phone maybe due to a porting issue and is there any fix that I can do? I tried a few apps but that didn't change anything either. Is my only option a return to stock?!
Btw this normally wouldn't be an issue but I just got my tickets for Armin and want some good videos.

I myself had same issue. Went in the gallery and click on the picture/video then there is a option I believe its the 3rd option on top and could rotate the image. It saved that way too. Hope that helps

Hello,
I just unboxed and connected my Nexus 5, i cant find the camera app anywhere in the phone and when I download a third party camera app it only lets me use the front camera, no option to change cameras. The front camera works fine. Any ideas?

Try a factory reset. If that doesn't help then you need to do an RMA.

Guys, since I updated to the latest Google Camera I'm unable to zoom in no hdr+ mode. If however I switch to hdr+ it zooms fine.
I'm running a rooted nexus 5 on kitkat 4.4.4 and stock ROM.
I've switched off and on again and still no luck.
It's pinch zoom and it's awful to be fair

Hi Ben thanks for your reply. I have been pinching to zoom. But after the recent update it no longer works except in hdr+ mode.
Very strange... you might have to try a factory reset?
Faced same problem.
Go to play store. Uninstall the camera app updates. Then re update the app. This solved the problem for me.
