Hey! It's my first phone with an gfs function. In video mode, does it supposed to oscillate between very exposed and under exposed?

Hello everyone,
Is burst mode available on the XZP? I cannot seem to find it, even though "Timeshift Burst", which I believe was Sony's burst mode in older devices, seems to be installed according to the Play Store.
it's been replaced by Predictive Capture which you can enable in camera settings and which will trigger automatically when the phone detects movement while you're focusing camera and preparing for taking a pic.

I noticed that feature kick in a couple times, however it is nowhere as convenient as a manually operated function in most scenarios. Is there any way I can manually take a burst of pictures or am I out of luck?
I was messing around with the camera when I noticed something weird. When in the official camera app (tested in both implemented version and new 3.8.1), I can tap in the "three trees icon" (panoramic) and covering the top lense I see that's the one the phone is using. Now on to the 1x icon, the phone changes to the mid lense, but when tapping the big tree icon (telephoto), looks like my phone keeps using the same central lense, so the one in the bottom is never triggered.
Has anyone else ever experienced this?
Telephone is only used when there is a lot of light ( i personally tested it a lot). If you want to forcefully use the telephone camera use gcam mod with 'gcam for oos' module to enable auxiliary camera support.
in video mode telephoto is actually never used. that i did notice.

Indeed, I think they will allow for it in future updates.

Maybe that's the reason, after further fiddling I've found there's some kind of jumping between both lenses, it's not just that it doesn't toggle at all. So maybe the light is the reason for that. Thank you for your reply!
Hello!
Supposedly, the LG G7 One is HDR10-compliant. At least that is what I read when I bought the phone months ago... When I watch Netflix, I get "HDR" tags next to some titles and the colour gamut seems to change. I even noticed recently (with android 10) that the timeline cursor in Netflix turn pink/magenta instead of the usual red whenever I watch HDR content. Weirdly enough, I have to turn my phone a few time (to rotate the viewport) for Netflix to trigger HDR.
Well... That is only if HDR really work.
So...
Is there any way I can confirm that with some kind of debug informations?
Thanks!
Hi everyone,
Has anyone experienced an issue with the camera?
Since my phone overheated, about 3 weeks ago, staying under the sun, I can't use the rear camera... I had the overheating warning pop up.
Basically if I launch the app, the app freezes, I can't switch to different rear cameras (wide, regular, telezoom) nor switch to front camera.
Sometimes I get a pop-up saying "can not connect to camera".
I can launch selfie mode directly from the app shortcut (by long pressing), other apps can't access the rear camera either and clearing cache of the camera app didn't change anything.
So, I had to change the back cover of the phone that had been previously cracked (nothing to do the camera not working), and I benefited the phone opened to try with disconnected cameras:
Telephoto works well, super wide as well.
Funny thing: the phone can use only the super wide camera to do both x0,6 and x1 (you don't notice that the main camera is not used).
Main camera worked.
2nd funny thing : portrait mode works perfectly without the Tof sensor being plugged in...
I plugged back the Tof sensor, it was still working, but stopped after restarting the phone. I removed it, cleared cache, it started to work again. I plugged the Tof sensor back in, it was working... I glued back the cover, and had the camera stop working within few minutes...
Long story short, has anyone experienced an issue with the Tof sensor? Which doesn't seem to be very useful...
I guess I'll try to remove it completely and check if the camera becomes stable.
I didn't find this part being sold :/
Regards, Charles
I mount the phone in a phone skope digiscoping adapter, then fit the adapter on the scope eyepiece. The magnified image begins to appear on the phone but then the phone switches to a different lens. The image on the phone is now a blur of color because the functional lens is aligned with the opaque part of the phone adapter.
Can the lens-switching feature be turned off so I can use only one lens in aiming and focusing the image?
Thanks
Doug
If i remember correctly, the "Expert RAW" application lets you choose the lens to work with and does not change to another lens.
Look for it in the Galaxy Store.
There might be other photo apps that also support "locking" the camera, but i'm not aware of (did not need this until now).
Pro mode in the regular camera app lets you pick lens/sensor and it sticks to it. Standard photo mode keeps switching but it sticks to the 108mp ("1x") sensor if you enable "3:4 108mp" mode.
Thank you
camera assistant app has the option to disable auto lens switching too.
