I have a couple ActiveSync accounts set up to push new email...and if the screen is off, emails will not come in. But the second I activate the screen, the emails will come in. Is there some setting that disables sync when the screen is off?

is there any way to set phone set only to turn screen on when i get phone call, everything else stay off
my pocket is sending stupid texts or something....
Prior to upgrading to lollipop, when I received an email, the notification would briefly show the subject before just showing the mail icon. Now it just buzzes and shows the mail icon. I have my phone on my desk at work, and it was very useful to glance at it to see who the message was from and if I needed to respond quickly. Now, when it buzzes, I keep looking down at the plain mail icon. Is there any way to fix this? Am I missing a setting? I keep my phone unlocked and charging when sitting on my desk, so it is always on the home screen, not the lock screen.
I need help turning off the screen lock on my gear s2, after a day trying and searching I could figure it out how to scroll while is on, but I have not been able to turn it off. I can get to it but will not turn off, any suggestions will be appreciated..Thanks
Hi, one day the gear s2 asked to select a PIN. Now I can't turn it off.
The option is there on the configuratios: PIN, Password and None. But None is disabled.
I thought it was due to my ActiveSync account for corporate Outlook (which forces the phone to have a screen lock method), but even after I have removed this account and the screen lock on the phone it still remains on the gear.
Any ideas?
My s2 does not even have the none choice, in fact there isn't a way to change from PIN to password. This is going to result in it going back.
I have my screen timeout set to 2 mins, but if I turn the screen off manually and then immediately back on (Say because I receive a message), even if it has only been a few seconds it still asks for my PIN, is there a way to delay this too?
My S9 used to allow a delay set for logging back in and would just turn straight back onto the homescreen, gets a bit tedious having to log in every single time and I don't want biometrics set (Not that fingerprint seemed to be very reliable anyway, and face unlock is too easy to fool)
Cheers
Hey guys,
I'm hoping to tap into the minds of those who get crafty with Android. This is my last resort, I don't know what else to do.
I'm wondering if it makes sense to you guys that deleting an entry in the mobile Active Sync window of a user's exchange mailbox would disable the OK button on the PIN pad of an Android device?
Here's our situation: a user comes to see IT because his Outlook(app on Android) profile was disconnected and after having tried to enter the correct credentials many times and not be able to login, we decided to remove his device from the exchange Active Sync mobile menu of his user mailbox in exchange. Afterwards, we still weren't able to add his account in the Outlook app, so we figured, let's just reboot the phone. We couldn't simply reboot the phone because the OK button on the PIN pad was greyed out. So this device being a Samsung A50, we simulated a battery disconnect with the phone keys and when the devices boots up, we're not able to get past the login screen because we still can't press the OK button that is greyed out.
We do manage our cellphones with an MDM but it's not able to connect because we aren't past the login screen. It's my understanding that the OK button lights up when numbers are being entered on the PIN pad, but in our case, it just stays gray as we're typing the password.
Would there be a way to install a custom ROM on the phone and have access to the user's images? We have his PIN, we just can't press the OK button.
turns out... user was typing the wrong password :x
He figured it out a week later
