BBM is only for android 4.0+. So install a rom which has ics or jb
Can you suggest a good stable ROM, better stock based.
Stock based roms are all ginger bread and will not suit your need. I would advise you to use minicm9 or sense 4.0 roms. These sense roms are based on the stock roms of the htc desire c and the htc one v and are quite stable.
Can u share any experience about ported sense4.0 ROM. I need a stable one.
I am using since a week or 2 I guess. You can't install it on Stock ROM.
You need to have 4.0+ according to Blackberry. I have installed it both in CM9 & Currently using it in Triumph HD ROM.
Triumph HD v3 is stable for me though I'm using v2 for the int2ext support.

HTC Sense 4.0A build 8 by derefas is great and smooth and has been stable in this forum for quite a while. The bug it suffers from is random reboots when a lot of RAM is in use.
HTC Sense 4.0 lite build 8 update 2 by shekhuntawar is relatively new and is as stable. The bug it faces is that the screen will not turn on when you receive a call while charging your phone. You have to disconnect your phone before picking up.

I should go with the 2nd.Actually its for my sister,who keep busy with her what's apps .now she want too switch to BBM.As she is not good in custom ROM use, I like to provide her a hassle free version.Any ways thanks.

2.3.5 isnt new sense 3.5 its just a few minor updates. Honestly its one of the smoothest roms ive used on my sensation if not the smoothest
so wat is the need of this need thread if its not different rom if its the same rom as badnewz but with 2.3.5 android base shouldnt it be kept in the ic rom thread?????

no issues on my sensation
been on it for a little under an hour. Its fast and smooth, no issues setting anything up, wifi works great even seems to power off/on a little faster. Been playin battle hearts and did a little web surfing.

I like ordroid but I don't like how they don't address or acknowledge the mms bug but there is a fix for it I have zip if you go with a 4.0 ROM I am pretty sure coin has the sane bug

try Virtuos or Elegancia i swap betweent the 2 and have not issues
I use OrDroid. Besides the mms bug, it's pretty much solid.
Both are awesome roms
Both of them are awesome and stable and if you can live w/o bluetooth then they are good for daily use.
OrDroid got extra tweaks and updates every 5 min...

While I appreciate the constant flow of updates, I have a problem with this because there are some days that there's literally 2-3 new versions per day. I love this rom and OrDroid was the single rom that got me using Sense 4 as a daily driver but ~500MB is something that takes time to download no thanks to my connection being throttled by my ISP so the thing is, I just wait 5 days to a week to download a new version...
I have tried InsertCoin and OrDroid and personally prefer OrDroid at the moment because of frequent update and Tmo-US related customizations.
Is the sensation getting official sense 4.0 update?

Hi all.
I realize there are loads of ics roms being developed for our device. I thank the devs for putting so much effort to keep our devices worth having. But I need some advice on finding a stable rom for daily use. (Texting, camera, gaming). I have used all the ics roms on our forum and experienced multiple freezes and reboots while on my daily usage.
I was wondering which rom is the most stable yet useful in terms of functionality at the moment.

Reaper for me. It doesn't have all the functionality that Endy does built-in, but you can add what you need easily enough. And it is seriously fast

Been using this rom to it's super fast and stable.
But changed to the Virtuous Saga yesterday. It seems to be working the way it's ment to.
The MIUI v4 2.4.5 is a stable ICS ROM I've had no problems with it

CM7.2 is rock stable. It's the only ROM I would recommend for daily use for now.

This rom is stable and fast enough for dayly usage. I installed it via Rom Manager even without firmware flashing. Works fine and fast. But sense 3.5 sucks - waiting sense 4.0

After testing a lot of ROMs (as owner HTC device I'd prefer Sense), I think, best ever ROM should be: official ICS (coming soon) with all tweaks + Lenaro kernel tweaks + Sense 4 (hope, with Lenaro tweaks, it possible use full Sense 4, not 4a)?
Just want to know, what you're expecting from your lovely device?

For me it will be Fallout (when kernel 3 arrrives) although i've got no problems with the rom now.....

you are talking about Fallout and FULL Sense, i know that Fallout is Sense 4A(a lite version)
The only FULL Sense 4 versions are CoolDroid (except rosie) and some SenseMod
and ON TOPIC, the Sense 4A rom's available can easily be use as a daily driver
I meant none full sense4. If I m not wrong, each full sense 4 has some problem either with widget or rosie,Best option is fallout and which I know is 4a.

It is the official version. Its just been leaked. Its still official as it has been built by HTC themselves.

The ROM is ported correct. But the kernel is the official Desire S kernel.

+1 fallout, just a thing with the rom, the 3d games in fallout is slower than his endy, if possible try to speed up the 3d and this will be the best ics ported rom, another thing is in v3 the sound feedback in keyboard crash the keyboard itself..
fallout definitely rules right now....though i am curious the leaked kernel solved almost all our problems...why is only the wifi hotspot giving problems????

It is all subjective, so just read the Dev threads, download the ones which sound good to you and then try them and decide for yourself.

it depends on how you use your phone. All sense 4 or 4.1 rom has its small bugs. I've tried most of them.. Every rom has its pros and cons.. I personlly say that I like all sense 4 and 4.1 roms that i've tried here. fallout, desire sx, viper rom, sabsa prime. As of the moment since I really like the travel clock I'm using viper rom. If your really looking for a good looking rom viper rom is the best. fall out is fast and stable of them all, i think. Desire sx has the camera fully working (bust mode and video capture). Sabsa I can't remember but I also like this rom and one of the longest rom that i've used second to viper.
