[Q] What Roms are you waiting for?

Since the current break thru on Fr3vo and soon Fre3dom.
My excitement level is getting higher and higher everyday.
Don't get me wrong I am enjoying what I have at the moment.
I have had no issues at all with my Sensation.
But XDA and being an owner of the HD2 I have become a flashaholic.
I am wondering what roms everyone is waiting on?
I personally can't wait for a Cyanogen or MIUI Rom to flash.

same thing for me, the optimizations in 2.3.4 would be quite the boon for the S4G

OP said it already... CM7 (!!) and MIUI. I'm switching over from a G1, so I'm looking forward to MIUI just to play with, but CM7 as a daily driver. Can't wait!

Would love to try miui sometime.
Else, just a very very clean rom like CleanDhd was for the Desire Hd.
All bloatware removed, as clean as it could possibly get

One of these days pretty soon I'm going to do a deodexed bloatfree Sense 3.0. First HTC phone for me, but I've gotten to quite like Sense. Just needs some optimization though.
Maybe a quicker kernel too.

CM7 will do for me... Or any rom that does not use allot of battery to run

Looking for a Sense-based rom that is optimized.
Might install CM7 on it to play around.
But right now, I am pretty much used to Sense.

MiUi = Best ROM for performance + functionality + eyecandy. (those Chinese know their ****)
If no MiUi then CM for sure!
I like Sense, but it's not the most practical.

I agree. I have always had CM7 on ny HD2.
Then I got the Sensation I tried out a MIUI Rom and love it.
I'm wondering why I never with MIUI as a daily runner before.

tried searching...best non sense gingerbread rom

I know there have been many threads about this, but for some reason my search is not pulling up any answers....
Just a simple question,
What is the best/most stable non sense/sense stripped Gingerbread rom?
Please note, Im not asking about CM7, ASOP, or ICS roms as I know none are 100%.
I dont know why my search is not pulling up related threads, so what is the most stable and fastest non sense gingerbread rom? I though I remember reading Virtusous was awesome, but I cant even find that...
Guessing something is wrong with the search so can you guys give me a few choices with the links?

I thought it had sense, is there a version with sense stripped out?

There have been a few mods that say you can turn the sense off, but I have never tried as I love my sense and actually won't use a rom now unless it has Sense 3.5 as I like the features of that sense rendition better than 3.0.

Funny, I went through a massive search today to find the best non-sense GB rom. Sadly, HyperNonSense GB is no more and has been replaced with the ICS version. Two others, Beastmod and Senseless Extreme are hosted on multiupload, and that goddamn website seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
That being said, I'm back on Virtuous Inquisition, which is great, but I don't want to use ICS until custom roms are based on an official release.

I started to try out different ROMs and the "Knowledgeable Ones" said, there is no best one to point out other than trying every ROM. Man it's soooo true ! The best one for me may not even suit you. I HAVE tried every GB ROM out there and settled with "SENSEAY ROM removing the sense with No-Sense script" keeping the essential parts of sense like lockscreen but making it super smooth & i think as the development of GB ROMs are complete, further upgrade or assistance is no more needed and that's why developers are giving their time for ICS. You can use the search button for whole week looking for best ROM, but i think it will only make you more confused . Start with a ROM u like (Use no-sense script if u wanna get rid of sense), if u like it more, make a nandroid backup & try another one. U have to be the one to decide the "BEST ROM"

Use ARHD 3.6.13 and use the No-sense script. It's very speedy and great battery life to boot!

it is not speedy.... i went from arhd (gb) to arhd (ics) to virtuous inquisition (ics) and the peformance difference is night and day.. arhd even with the no sense script is definitely laggy compared to AOSP

so your using the GB version of Virtuous Inquisition? I can only find the ICS version... can you link me to it?

MIUI 2.2.3!!!!!

Would prefer the Coredroid 3.3 GB really stable and fast/smooth interface has a lot of tweaks also, tried others keeps FC on some application, cant remember which app but mostly the sense. Goodluck. Now im on DF ICS and im keeping my Coredroid 3.3 backup just in case i want to revert back.

Quick question guys, which is the fastest AND stablest ROM out there? Preferably ICS.

Feel free to try mine, see my sig. Everything working, fast and very stable. If doesnt work for you, free to try other rom. I can also recommend Darkforest ROM.

if Sense 3.6 then I would choose ARHD - it's fast, stable and there are plenty of mods that help you customize this ROM
but right now I'm on InsertCoin Evolution 1.8. This one is the best out of all Sense 4 ROMs, in my opinion. It's stable, but Sense 4 is not as fast as Sense 3.6. So, I suggest ARHD 6.6.5

As you can see with all the different answers its all really a matter of personal opinion. Depending on what you like. Do you like sence, or senceless, 3.6 sence , 4.0 sence, its all about what you want. I'm very grateful for all the developers because we have options and having options is wonderful! What I suggest is trying out a few different roms. See which one fits you best! I've found most rims to be much more stable than stock. With stock my device was always rebooting, now on custom its not done that once! Once you try a few I think you will see what I mean about being more stable than stock.but really the only way to know what's right for you is trying them out. Then you can make a desion from there. Hope this helps.

Hey I used to use Vinq, and its great and all, but AOKP hypersensation? You've just got to try it. Its the best Senseless ROM out there, and I used Vinq for a long long time

Think most, if not all ROMs are fast enough. All of them beat stock more or less.
All Sense 4.0 roms are ported and have issues one way or the other, but they have ironed out several bugs already and is coming around to be stable enough.
Most sense 3.4 roms are stable enough. Just pick your ROM.
As it comes to speed it depends on what kernel u use as well..

+1 for Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2! But, most other roms are also fast with the great kernels we have.

Recommed a senseless ROM

I have been using Sense ROMS ....and i`m dissapointed about them. Lag, unstable, not good .....
So, i want some sugestions about what senseless rom should i use. Thanx.

I just flashed this the other day, coming from Virtuous Inquisition and havent looked back. Its very stable and fast and getting daily updates, there may be the odd bug or issue but it is a development thread and they get fixed quickly. If you want a fully functional, stable senseless ROM try Virtuous Inquistion or Hypernonse (pretty much the same but a bit more updated and stipped down).

Try frankinstine's jb aokp!

Virtuous Inquisition if you want to keep Sense camera
CM9 for a stable AOSP
CM10 for the latest AOSP

Virtuous Inquisition has least issues, but is (correct me if I am wrong) discontinued.

True and its about 4 months old. But was a very stable good rom!

Yep Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.2 is pretty rock solid, but as the others have said, is not updated anymore, and is getting quite old now. Best thing about it, is that it still has the HTC camera.
The killer for me with this ROM was that it obviously runs on Sense framework, including HTC Bluetooth, which is not compatible with the Sixaxis Controller app, which I absolutely love, especially now it supports touch emulation. :thumbup:

Virtuous Inquisition for ICS and if you want to keep HTC camera.
For Jelly bean, bruce's CM10 is way to go. It may have less tweaks than other AOKP ROMs but the dev get the bugs fixed pretty fast.

I've been using HyperNonSense for months and a fast, smooth daily driver. No issues at all with this ROM. :good:

Been using cyanogenmod 9 stable for sensation for quite a while now and had no problems at all. It's very stable and fast. It's worth a try

Flashed the latest version and it seem to not work with one of my BT devices (even after kernel switching)
Also, the theme is not AOSPish, it's black, after installing the right themes though it's a bit better (market is still black)
Any other suggestions? (VI is deprecated and is 3.32 :/ )

Lots of crashes when using a Sense 3.5 rom

Dear friends,
I've been using Fallout rom for a while now but I decided to try a Sense 3.5 rom since they run more stable and faster than most ICS roms.
First I tried Endymion and later Energy rom. However with both roms I get a lot of crashes and I can't figure out why. Sense 3.6 roms run fine.
The crashes with Sense 3.5 also happen whilst the nothing is installed. How can I find out what's crashing my phone?

I was on endy before this, planing on going back after doing a test with reaper. Never had any crashes/reboot. I could only think of bad download/install as the cause if no app was installed/restored.

You probably didn't flash the boot.img and are still using the stock kernel.

Coming from fallout it wouldn't even have booted on the previous kernel, so that can't be the issue.
Have you changed any oc/uv settings?

I flashed the right boot.img and did clean installs (wipe data/cache) and haven't touched oc/uv settings. It also seems to happen more often when I'm multitasking e.g. Listening to music and browsing.

Good one. One would expect the gingerbread roms to be more stable but not on my phone. I like the gingerbread speed and they're more battery friendly than ICS roms in my experience.

As far as I know, now ICS ROMs and JB ROMs are far more stable that GB ones. I am using Flinny's CM10.1 build 12 ROM daily without any issue, and I saw that Desire XS is pretty fast, maybe as fast as GB ROMs. Except for personal taste I see no point to stick around with GB ROMs.

desire xs is a great ROM ,, GB does not stand a chance!
