[Q] What Roms are you waiting for?

Since the current break thru on Fr3vo and soon Fre3dom.
My excitement level is getting higher and higher everyday.
Don't get me wrong I am enjoying what I have at the moment.
I have had no issues at all with my Sensation.
But XDA and being an owner of the HD2 I have become a flashaholic.
I am wondering what roms everyone is waiting on?
I personally can't wait for a Cyanogen or MIUI Rom to flash.

same thing for me, the optimizations in 2.3.4 would be quite the boon for the S4G

OP said it already... CM7 (!!) and MIUI. I'm switching over from a G1, so I'm looking forward to MIUI just to play with, but CM7 as a daily driver. Can't wait!

Villainrom!

Would love to try miui sometime.
Else, just a very very clean rom like CleanDhd was for the Desire Hd.
All bloatware removed, as clean as it could possibly get

One of these days pretty soon I'm going to do a deodexed bloatfree Sense 3.0. First HTC phone for me, but I've gotten to quite like Sense. Just needs some optimization though.
Maybe a quicker kernel too.

CM7 will do for me... Or any rom that does not use allot of battery to run

Looking for a Sense-based rom that is optimized.
Might install CM7 on it to play around.
But right now, I am pretty much used to Sense.

MiUi = Best ROM for performance + functionality + eyecandy. (those Chinese know their ****)
If no MiUi then CM for sure!

I agree. I have always had CM7 on ny HD2.
Then I got the Sensation I tried out a MIUI Rom and love it.
I'm wondering why I never with MIUI as a daily runner before.

2.3.5 isnt new sense 3.5 its just a few minor updates. Honestly its one of the smoothest roms ive used on my sensation if not the smoothest

so wat is the need of this need thread if its not different rom if its the same rom as badnewz but with 2.3.5 android base shouldnt it be kept in the ic rom thread?????

His Rom is 2.3.4 base, this one is 2.3.5...its like a side project

ok then no worrys i would just ashumed he would just rebase his rom no worrys dont worry

no issues on my sensation

been on it for a little under an hour. Its fast and smooth, no issues setting anything up, wifi works great even seems to power off/on a little faster. Been playin battle hearts and did a little web surfing.
*edit* I cant get an MMS to send

Not that stable on my sensation.
Shut down all of a sudden. Will wait to non-beta.

The most stable rom?

Hi all.
I realize there are loads of ics roms being developed for our device. I thank the devs for putting so much effort to keep our devices worth having. But I need some advice on finding a stable rom for daily use. (Texting, camera, gaming). I have used all the ics roms on our forum and experienced multiple freezes and reboots while on my daily usage.
I was wondering which rom is the most stable yet useful in terms of functionality at the moment.

I don't recommend any ICS ROM. Personally, I'm finding Endymion and CM7 to be the most stablest for me.

Reaper for me. It doesn't have all the functionality that Endy does built-in, but you can add what you need easily enough. And it is seriously fast

Go launcher makes the system really slow imo.
see the difference to a butter smooth endy with sense 3.5, you will never use gay launcher (sorry ) again

im currently developing a new sense 3.6 ICS rom which is based on the official update with kernel 3 ill post link in here hwne its done its called The ICS Saga sTOCK BUT WITH SOME NICE STUFF ADDED

Been using this rom to it's super fast and stable.
But changed to the Virtuous Saga yesterday. It seems to be working the way it's ment to.

The MIUI v4 2.4.5 is a stable ICS ROM I've had no problems with it

CM7.2 is rock stable. It's the only ROM I would recommend for daily use for now.

This rom is stable and fast enough for dayly usage. I installed it via Rom Manager even without firmware flashing. Works fine and fast. But sense 3.5 sucks - waiting sense 4.0

You are in luck. Proxuser has success! Primo-S boots with the new kernel 3.0, and he has fixed the camera!

I have to dis agree the cam suks cammal hump lol the cam stutters to much even with 3rd party apps endymion all the way baby till ics is working like it should

recommended. however i do feel some lagginess maybe because my SD card is bloated with unnecessary data.

do you guys know how to turn off proximity sensor in miuiv4 ?
because last time when i use miui GB its much easier to find.
now i cannot find in ICS rom.

miui 4 is ok ,but it is very choppy i have found,dosnt perform that well and feels real bogged down.

I'm new to the sensation scene and have been fighting with my phone all week to unlock but finally today i downgraded the firmware to 1.17 so i could unlock it but now i'm on ginger bread how could i go about goingt back to ics or jb?

You need to flash either unlocked 3.3.2 or 3.3.3 firmware to run ICS Roms.

I think with you requirements, Elegancia may be the best. If you get rid of Sense, HyperNonSense is a great ICS rom. Other JB roms are good, but the battery life keeps me coming back to HNS.

Now I'm using CM11 4.4 by Android1-7. It works almost perfect!

ViperS sense 5.0 ROM is probably the best ROM you can get for the senny right now

I fully agree. Have tried all popular ROMs from xda (ICS, JB, KK) and have to tell ViperS 5.0 is the best so far.

try ViperS 5.0.0, its amazing.. you won't regret it

I would take ViperS 5.0.0 :good:
But if you dislike Sense, CM11 by Android1-7 is really stable atm.

Can confirm this, I'm really happy with CM11 from Android1-7

ViperS 3.1.4: very good Sense JB ROM with tweaks and so on. I got only a little bug with headphones. If you use headphones without mic, and so need to talk into the phone's mic, then sometimes you are not able to send your speech...you receive very well, but you're not able to talk.(Before someone asks, I use very high quality headphones but unfortunately they are without mic. Listening a lot of music by my mobile during the day, this to talk into the phone's mic is the only way to continue my habits.)
Elegancia: very good Sense ICS ROM with some tweaks (less than ViperS). No bugs found by me, good battery life, but glitches with Maps 7.0, due to hacks in adreno libs. You must downgrade app to Maps 6 (anyway, link is provided in the thread).
CM 10.1 & 10.2 (albinoman, a1-7, etc.): no-Sense ROM, good performance, a lot of available modifications and personalizations, but camera quality is not as Sense ROM, no way to obtain same quality. In some cases, camera app FC, and that's could be a very annoying thing when you want to capture that exact moment!
Actually I use ViperS 5, a Sense 5 JB ROM. No bugs (neither the one with the headphones), good quality pictures, no tweaks (at least, for the moment). IMHO Sense 5 is not so great because of a sort of "relaxing" in design (someone likes that, mine is only an opinion), but this ROM is the one able to give me what I desire at the moment, even if not at all. I'm waiting for a stable CM11 (albinoman's, dominos', a1-7's, no matter whose) with a no bug camera: I tried some version: speed is terrific (it seems like to have a brand 2014 new phone in your hand), and available tweaks/personalizations will be enough to let me forgive the bad quality of the camera.
Everything I wrote, obviously, is from my experience, so someone could be not agree with me.

I'm using vipers with sense 5, OS: 4.1.2, one of the best Rom I have tried, and the Rom update will come soon with many fixes

The best ICS, for me, is Revolution 6.8 (latest is 7.3). It's rock solid, I've thrown anything at it and it worked like a charm.

I've stopped using this rom now. Been getting one graphical glitch everytime using the YouTube app or well... Watching any video. If I dont click the power button to turn off my screen my phone freezes then I have to take the battery out. Been getting this glitch with every Team Venom rom (seen it on the sense 4+ and 5.0 rom). Its not the kernel or any app bugs. Its in the rom itself. I've switched to the revelation rom by SebastianFM. Bug free and I sense 4+ so not that bad. Its not really a rom I would use for a long period of time. Well thats that. 3 stars for sense 5.0 rom. 4 stars for revelation rom.
