Hi, I was a iphone user 3-4 years ago. Then I realized I want more and Android was there with all the customization. And I own a LG G2 and it has anything and everything customizable. Its a perfect phone and I had all the Nexus4, Gs4, Galaxy Note 2 this year. And i just ordered 3 Nexus 5's. But more and more I look at Nexus 5 its reminding me of Apple IOS. Google is making it too simple and boring. Good thing we have all the Dev's that can do so much. What u guy's think? Is Google making Android to look like Apple's IOS? And Apple on the other side is making IOS look like Android. Dont fight only opinions. Thanx to everyone.

I definitely disagree, and I'm not sure where you're getting "Google is making it [Android] too simple and boring." What has been removed in 4.4, or otherwise overhauled so completely that you are getting this impression?
There's only so much "difference" you can have between 2 companies who are using a desktop-environment with a grid of icons as the major way to navigate through the ecosystem.

Well, 5. And, unlike Apple, you have the choice of downloading and using a different launcher. Many different launchers allow you to define how many icons you want vertically and horizontally in the grid, and even in the dock.
I know we can do that, but im talk i ng about stock phone however google ships.

How are they similar? Please explain. Just posting a screenshot and saying they are similar doesn't do much for your argument. I can think of many reasons why they aren't. Though The page dots addition looks very iOS and the Google now to the left is similar to how iOS used to have spotlight on the left. Only spotlight was the laggiest, slowest, most useless thing ever when Google now on the left is absolutely genius.

After using the G2 LG UI or the Samsung's TW. With so much useful thing's. Like showing percentage battery, thats just a simple thing and plus too many usefull features. Like on lg changing the icon sizes . Anyway maybe the manufacturers doing lots of things better making important things available on their versions of the phones. There are so many features that its hard to write them all.

Yep. iOS7 made more leaps to looking like Android than vise-versa. Some things in ios7 are hard to distinguish from Android like the lock-screen, wallpaper, calculator app. I'm sure there are more but I don't use ios.
My guess is that in time they will mostly just look the same.

Yep it is Apple that removed all the glassy effects on icons, menus, buttons etc.. to make them more flat 'à la android'
No such thing because android is open source and you can always do much more than what ios can when it comes to customization and free market on the play store.
So no its nothing even close.

It looks pretty nice. I don't know if I would use it over android but it has a really simple interface. This seems like something I would buy for one of my parents who aren't to savvy with touch screen phones.

I hate WP7 still but the use of HTML 5 is impressive
I took a brief break from Android before I got my Skyrocket, and I used a Samsung Focus during that time (with Mango). Windows Phone is really simple, and very fast. I never noticed any lag when using the phone.
But it is too simple for me. It's like using iOS back when it was in version 2 or 3. There's very little you can customize, and the app selection is still lacking.

Agreed. Pretty cool concept.
I don't know the interface in wp7 is really unified and has the same design language in all of its apps. I used to own a sgs but I find wp7 really pleasent to use over android. I also like that I dpn have to put sp much work into the phone but with android there are cool things that you can do with it. I won't pit android down but each isn't one size fits all

So dig in and learn to change what you don't like. Personally I think every theme Google has made is not only ugly but made by some that is color blind. So what did I do. I went and learned how to change it and now I have one of the most in-depth detailed themes around. It is not that hard. It is what android is all about. Learning to make it what you want it to be.

Well then it looks like you should get started lol. Hell you could dig in and do a theme Chooser theme that will work with any rom that supports it. While I am not a fan of it myself all you can do is theme it like every other Google release. Having a phone look the way you want it is a never ending cycle. If you know how to theme then you should know this by know. A few XML edits, some new icons and a couple remade .9.pngs and you will have what you want. With the right tools you can have any roms pull down match what you want in 5 min after getting the rom

You should try SSLauncher. It allows you to create something it calls application groups that are in list form. You can have all your apps in that list or just categories, like games or office or photo apps.
It's also one of the most customizable launchers on the market. You can even have a different wallpaper on each screen!

I purchased it five minutes ago. I'm a little disappointed. I love the concept of it, but it's a little too minimalistic at the moment. There are only a few settings, and there's no real option to customize it. I guess the dev will update it a bit in the near future so it's all good, but i expected much more. Also, no lite version? Come on...
Looks good - will probably wait till it's a little bit more feature rich.

"The phone doesn’t have a home button, a slider-based lock screen, a "settings" tile, or an app switcher toggle. Instead, a user accesses these functions by swiping various edges of the screen."
Reminds me a lot of the BB10 gestures. Did anyone have a look on mashable where they gave 10 people a BB10 to use to figure out very basic things like unlocking and finding apps?
Let's just say the UX may take some getting used to, that being said if the value proposition is there I think people will be willing to go the extra mile for a new experience.

Mind if I use this? Pretty good summary
I'm pretty sure Apple isn't even claiming innovation (that's just what people say when they want to discredit features irrationally; don't be That Guy).
"This think looks/works/is just like that thing" is a very vague statement.

I don't understand why the made it so colorful. And the lockscreen looks like a S3 mixed with MIUI. This is why Apple annoys me.
It looks to much century gothic mixed with roboto.
