Im currently trying to return my Samsung Galaxy S3 i747 and i currently have a 4.3 Pacman custom rom flashed on it and i was wondering how i can return my phone to the stock rom when i first got my phone without bricking it. I've been doing a bit of research and I'm looking for the best way to return my phone to the stock rom. Should i do it with Odin or flash it through TWRP (is that even possible?)
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated
Thank you!

Hello Everyone,
I have i896 captivate. I am currently on serendipity 7 and like it. However, I need to go back to stock rogers rom, which I did. The problem is, while booting up the phone, the order of screen animations is:
a. galaxy gt i9000
b. i896
c. rogers.
The phone boots and works fine.
Is there a way to remove the gt i9000 screen. Any advice is most welcome.
Thanks
You would need to reflash the stock rogers bootloaders. Unless you're planning on returning it for warranty repairs or something, I would recommend against it and just live with the i9000 screen.
As a matter of fact, I was planning to return it for repairs. I do have the i896 stock rogers rom, where can i find the bootloader files and how do i flash it. Thanks for the prompt response.
No idea where you'd get the stock i896 bootloaders.. sorry dude :/
I'd imagine they'd come packaged with a leaked stock i896 rom (maybe samfirmware.com?). If you find one that has the bootloaders (you can find them by extracting the rom packages and looking for sbl.bin and boot.bin), make sure you have BOTH sbl.bin and boot.bin, otherwise you'll hard-brick your phone. To flash the bootloaders, just flash the entire leaked rom with odin as usual.
No luck there. Maybe I'll live with this screen and get an upgrade in 2 months. Thanks a lot for your response

i think this is what youre looking for. i suggest 1click odin back to att stock first like the guy states then flash the rogers files
Fantastic, works like a charm. Thanks a lot.
I rooted my phone using Kingo. After that it said it was successful but I got stuck on bootloop. I am new to this and I don't know the procedure on fixing this. Pls help. I don't know the meaning of stock rom, flashing, odin etc so I really need help. Thanks

Dude, When you stuck on Bootloop . There is only one option left to start you device again and that is flashing stock rom. Since you don't know what is Flashing ,Stock rom etc , here is short guide.
*Flashing (like wearing cloths)means that loads a software or rom again.
*Stock rom means that rom which is official made by manufacturer. Like Samsung have touchwiz rom, Htc have sense rom.
*Odin is a software which is use to flashing stock rom of Samsung Galaxy phones.
When you understand this things you're goto this link and start your phone's life again.

So my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is stuck on SEAANRDORID KERNAL NOT ENFORCING, AFTER A FAILED ROOT.
I can still get to the download screen
How can I get it back to working order. I dont care about losing info on it I just dont want a 800 paperweight!!1
Its the Sprint Model, im pretty sure it was running 6.0.1
If someone could help me out that would be great. I have to get the phone sent back to me from the states because I am currently serving overseas in Korea with the Army. Would like to fix if possible so I dont have to pay out of pocket for a new phone! Thanks in Advance!

are you on stock recovery or twrp recovery? if you have twrp installed I would do a wipe of dalvic and cache and reboot. Or at this point you could flash a new rom like MOAR 4.2 witch is also 6.0.1 I believe.. TWRP can be flashed with ODIN and the rom can be flashed with TWRP Unless your planning on staying on stock rom and just gain root but I would still flash a good recovery like TWRP at the least so you can do a wipe and backup and restore from recovery. Be careful to read all instructions in the forum when flashing any rom or recovery or you can soft brick your phone. It sounds to my like you have a soft brick witch is easy to fix with odin and flashing a good recovery like TWRP.
good luck and be sure to read the OP steps and follow them when flashing
Sorry if this has been posted before. I have successfully install a custom recovery but cant seem to find a good ROM that supports this specific device? Can anyone help? I wanted to use the cm-resurrection_remix but when I installed the one i downloaded it says my device is not supported.
You shouldn't flash roms made for other tab2 variants - it would brick your tab! Happylie you flashed the right recovery and it saved your tab.
Right I didnt flash it. Can you recommend a good ROM that is available for my device. The device is so sluggish with the stock rom even after factory reset and removing a lot of AT&T apps

there is no rom for your device, i think. google it. maybe you have luck.
I'm also looking for any usable rom apart from stock. I have an sph-p500 which is technically the same as sgh-i497 but found no roms at all. any help appreciated. all rom links are broken. I know the device is pretty old but I don't want to shred it.
Good day everyone, just got my note pro WiFi version? Already rooted and has custom kernel civz, tablet feels slow so I'm planning on changing rom maybe lineageOS but I'm concerned about the procedure because I'm not sure where I'm standing with every change done to this device, any help is appreciated I just don't want to brick this device trying to flash a new rom.
Currently it's running stock rom 5.0.2, 3.4.39 civz kernel and knox 2.3, if someone could provide a step by step on what should I do or check in this device to be on the safe road id really appreciate it. Btw I don't even know what recovery I have or how do I access it.
Bump
honestly most samsung devices are the same so id suggest getting the full stock system and using odin to revert to stock, from there start by getting a custom recovery and seeing what else you need to set up your rom
someone correct me if im wrong
heres the page for official stock "images"

someone told me that I just need to install twrp as it is and start flashing roms, dont know if this the best way to do it what do you think?
It could work just keep in mind that you don't know exactly what the previous owner did to it so if they installed a custom kernel you'll be stuck with that, could be a good thing could be a bad thing
You could always give it a shot and if it gives you problems go back to stock then TWRP then start rom-ing
