Yep from 4.3

There's way too many forums with the same aosp stuff using 4.3 binery..May I ask what is different with your ROM?

You have other binaries???
the difference is that rom will be available also for Deb
Edit
Deb version in first post! Enjoy

Working camera?

@OP, Thanks for the Deb version, much appreciated! not many people develop for deb.

So simply building a ROM from the sources is now "Original Android Development"?
Like some other 4.4 threads I do not really see "development" here as expected.
Maybe these threads should be moved to the usual development forum?

Might be because its early stage, they are getting the threads setup for development, for example, ParanoidAndroid has a thread with AOSP 4.4 started and getting ready for their version.

Awesome. I was gonna test illusion some more...but this woke me up. Everything is working like buttahhh.

flashed the rom. running well. unfortunately 4.4 still doesn't fix the touch screen.. so just what's wrong with the screen? is it hardware or software? I would seriously consider ipad mini retina...

I'll upload to my Dropbox in 30.
So deb seems to be working and all. I didn't flash PA happy because I forgot to read op.. Lol antutu seems to be on the low side. I'm just gonna reflash with the right gapps. Hopefully this fix my browser and syncing. Camera doesn't work sadly. Failed to connect. From my experience that usually has something to do with the binaries.

Um maybe you should just wait for an official build then if you're just gonna start complaining. Go get yourself a locked down iPad mini.

He's not complaining. I believe it's called asking a question! There's a very well known screen issue on the n7 and sharing that isn't complaining. I don't understand why there has to be so much of this in the threads. Ridiculous!

Listen dude....I am in no way, shape or form like some who are on here. I myself ask questions all the time and hate it when someone gives me a **** response for whatever the reason may be. But he was acting like its an official release and saying how it doesn't fix the touch screen WHICH then went on to say I would really consider an IPad mini. I have the N7 and know about the touch screen issue. There just isn't any need to say I consider the iPad mini based off of a ROM he flashed that isn't even made available for our device yet nor is it even close to an official build. That's why I said what I said. Nothing I said was because of his questions....but thanks for your concern man

Since you've already been scolded... lol there's not much we can do with the dump considering its for a device running 4.2.2 out the box. Now if we had a working kernel compatible to that version of android it might be possible.
You should watch this! So informative about the rules lol

The system dump is not a rom it is just all the files from the SGS 4s system such as ring tones wallpapers etc. And them 2 things will be about the only files we can use maybe some apps but that's it...
I would recommend any new users to the Blaze to go to the Blaze Bible thread and read up for a few days and Google search anything else u wanna know before commenting and replying because not everyone will hand feed u and to be honest the Blaze forums are pretty noob friendly compared to many other ones out there!
Good luck and have fun and here's the link to the Blaze Bible

The S4 is 2 generations after our phone so it would be impossible to do because of many reason including different screen type and size, different ram size and waaaay different and better processor and those r just a few and yes kernels r a big reason we r still on android 4.1.2 well probly never see 4.2.2 but there r a ton of roms to be happy about for me more than enough... So ya that S4 sys dump isn't anything ur gonna get to work on our phone

Just out of curiosity, what error specifically is keeping a kernal of 4.2+ from coming out for the blaze? Being a novice here, i would assume that there isn't too much of a difference between 4.1 and 4.2, but i can, and probably, be wrong. I just find it interesting to know whats going on within the development. Also, a 4.2.2 kernal might be out of the question, but would a 4.2.1 kernal be within our grasp?

An upgrade to 4.2 is a big difference, from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 is nothing. Cm didn't make a new branch for cm 10.2 hence the small update. No known exact issue or somebody would've already fixed it

After switching to phablet mode, could not press the center navbar button as navi ring was permanently displayed, also inaccessibly, over it. Will redownload and reflash, in case it was a bad flash.
Reflashed, and the nag-ring trouble is gone. However, with the good flash, using latest mbq apps, google plus keeps crashing in the background during the first login process, seems to be ok doing after I hit ok some ten times and then update all apps. Also, the stock android progress bar as displayed in the login process is still in the Turbo mode it has been since I first tested xylon months ago. Apart from those, all seem fine so far.
Is there a way to choose combined nav/status bar height?

Hell yeah... I've been wanting to run this ROM for some time, but the persistent swiping-game bug, in other builds, has been stopping me. I see somewhere along the way it has been fixed. Nice!

This is a self-compiled kang of CM12 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, most comparable to a CM nightly build. You need not apply if you’re not comfortable with testing out new and possibly broken features. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Intro...
Hey folks,
Before anyone asks "don't we already have some unofficial cm10.2 roms?".....this is a lil different. This has cherry picks that haven't been merged into CM, yet. It's even more unifficial than the officially unofficial builds.:good:
Some of you may already use Jellybro on a different tablet or phone. I got talked into running builds for Flo, even though I haven't purchased one, yet. It works exactly as well as the other Jellybro's, so feel free to unofficially interflash with the other more official unofficial versions.
I primarily use grouper and tf300t, so that's usually my reference for feature functionality.
Hope some of you find this build more fun than the typical nightlies.

This issue is pervasive for me. Happens on stock ROMs and other ROMs too where the page just stops working. Always on xda site. Links can't be click and my browser justs becomes unresponsive. Anybody know the reason?

I generally only use the stock kernels. I almost never use the stock browser. I typically use Dolphin or Chrome. And I use Tapatalk on phones/tabs for XDA.

| About Odyssey: |
Odyssey is a simple clean and smooth rom with the basic features but none of the over the top extras.I feel as though a lot of custom roms take it to far and have so much to them that we can't use it all. We all love extras but there is a line that a lot of custom roms cross that seem to make them a little less user friendly. So we've created Odyssey. We will of course add lots more to this rom based on demand from users But all the while continuing down the path of simplicity. I plan on rapid releases and full support for this . I hope you all enjoy it..

A question, you removed almost everything so it can be a minimal rom. But there is still a music player. I always prefer to use google play music (Maybe you could remove the music app in the next release? If someone isn't against it!)

Funny, my phone has issues galore trying to boot with the Sense version of this kernel, but I am running the AOSP version on the latest M8 SlimKat release and everything seems to be just fine.
In upcoming releases would it be possible to incorporate Faux123 Sound files?
Edit: The kernel works just fine aside from the fact that it breaks WiFi.
Any updates on the Cyanogenmod version? Would love the same basic set of features as the Sense kernel. Swipe to wake would be amazing :]

Pretty much everything AOSP is universal for the M8 from what I've seen. Go check the non carrier specific M8 section for other kernels too

While this would be true if everyone used the same code base, they don't. Hence why my post on the first page of comments asking about a Cyanogenmod version (as the one posted here does not work with Cyanogenmod). He said he was working on a version that should support Cyanogenmod but then never posted it here. I was just looking for a status update.
I meant that the AOSP builds/kernels have been including all variants so looking in the other section could find you what you are looking for. I'm currently just pulling an apk from task650s AOKP that allows screen off gestures. There is a kernel that works with cm but I didn't have as good battery life as the stock cm kernel for me so far and haven't played with it much yet. Maybe looking into some other kernels would also help with this one.
