[Q] Bricked P3110?? - General Questions and Answers

Hi guys new here, sorry in advance if im in the wrong section.
Ok.. iv used Odin many of times with success and can follow guides pretty easy but a big challenge has come my work and my brain is frying! iv searched and done everything i have found so iv decided to join here as most tutorial are clear and easy to follow.
Whats happening is iv been given a Samsung Tab 2 7" that will not go any further than recovery <3e>.
When booting up it will always go to recovery with the following:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : BTU
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
I can see also:
Reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache.
I have tried factory reset and wipe cache and does nothing, i have yet to see it show the samsung animated logo.
the only info i have from the owner was "i was updating and it ran out of battery and this happened"
In download mode i did notice the binary was set to custom, iv used odin to try and reflash it, back to samsung binary, even with PASS! i still encounter the same recovery problem, i see the android and a spinny thing in its belly then says applying update and just before halfway it stops and says erasing and then reboots back into recovery. In the background there is a dead android with a red triangle, sometimes on boot up it will say Command error and sometimes just Error!.
Iv tried everything possible, the owner isnt sure if debug mode has ever been enabled, but like i say, everything i have done i have had no success whats so ever, i cant get into settings to see what it was running before.
If pictures are needed or a video im happy to post if they are needed and thanks in advance if anyone can help.
Thanks :good:
EDIT: forgot to add in description, when using Odin it will always say Leaving CS...

[Q] Will only boot to recovery.

Hi All.
So I'm not new to rooting / ROMs (nor am I an expert, as you'll see), but somehow have totally screwed up my tab. I've now honestly done so many things to try to recover, that I couldn't begin to summarize how I got into this mess, but I'll try.
Model is GT-P5113. Most recent working ROM was SlimLP 5.1
I went to flash CM12.1 (using CWM) and God only knows what happened. After it flashed, I tried to reboot and it would only go to CWM recovery. If I chose to reboot device, it would only shutdown, not reboot (This was actually one of the issues I was having with SlimLP as well, so I don't think the flashing had anything to do with that???)
After many attempts at reinstalling CM and SlimLP (I used the same Zip that had worked previously with SlimLP, and the flashing would say installed) it would still only boot to recovery. I finally said, screw it, I'll just start completely over
So attempted to go back to stock 4.2.2 using Odin3.09. Got the stock ROM off SamMobile site. ODIN seemed to flash, but again when it would go to reboot, it would just power down and a charging battery would show up. So I would unplug from the computer, push power button. When it powered up, it would say Installing system update, then after the status bar moved a bit, it would say Error and shut down. When I restart, it very briefly says installing system update, then show the dead android with a red triangle and No Command, and it would boot to the stock android system recovery (I assume CWM was taken off in the process). In yellow, under the stock recovery it says
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : XAR
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
I've tried installing the other ROMs again, this time with TWRP, but only for it to boot to recovery after the Samsung Tab 10. 1 logo.
I have no clue where to go from here. No clue if I'm still rooted (doubt it). At this point I don't care. I just want a functioning tab. I've spent hours searching, but nothing works. I'm open to any / all ideas.
Thanks
Aw, show me a little love, bros. Someone' gotta know something. I'm not above begging / pleading.
I can give more info, less info, post somewere else. Just let me know, and help me resuscitate my tab.
thanks again!

Hello, i've bought this Samsung SM-T210 like 3 years ago, i rooted it as soon as i got it and after a year or so i decided to go back to factory settings cos of too many trash files anyway as far as i can remember i've select the wipe data or somethin and it got stuck on "Boot Loop" thingy only samsung logo comes up over and over again till i turn it off so i have tried every single solution that i can find on google and forums best i could do was getting it out of boot loop, now it just directly boots into TWRP and i can not do anything over there can't install any roms nothing whenever i try to install somethin it just gives me bunch of errors with cant find cache, data etc . i saw people had same problem and they got solutions by installing a new os, rom whatever it's called, i know how to follow the instructions but those solutions about my problem didn't help at all, now after a year i've decided to fix it again do u guys have any other solutions about this ? i'm waiting for it the charge up gonna list the errors i get on each section of twrp. :crying: :crying: :crying:
When i press (power+home) i'm only getting a text on bottom left corner says POWER UPLOAD REASON: POWER KEY H/W REVISION : 0.3
(vlm down+power+home) only gets me to the black screen nothing comes up
(vlm up+power+home) TWRP interface
power key by itself does nothing anymore.

******i had access to download mode via adb by using "adb reboot download"
i tried to install my firmware using odin and surprisingly it started to work again and im sure i've tried this billions of time.***********

I don't understand.
You're saying that you successfully flashed it with your firmware and it started working. Does this mean you don't have an issue now? Or is there still a problem?
I DO NOT PROVIDE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
yea i couldnt even open up the download mode it was saying RUN RDX TOOL but i just ignored whatever it says and tried to install it with odin till it succeeds after a few tries it just completed the installation and simply started to running.

samsung galaxy tab 2 infinite reboot loop

Hi, i have samsung galaxy tab 2 (P5100) with no root. It started to restart 5-10 seconds after android starts... (i dont have time to go the settings or to do something before restart).
I tried to clear cache and factory reset from recovery but it doesnt work. (in recovery it shows done but when i reboot system, no changes are made)...
I also tried to flash new stock room with odin but it failed every time ( i use different versions of odin, different rooms and different pits). it fails after NAND write or system.img.
Im also not able to flash new recovery... in odin it pass but when i start recovery mode there is no change...
Does someone have similar problem? Im afraid that it could be problem with motherboard or memory.
In recoveory i see this error:
# MANUAL MODE #
--Appling Multi-CSC...
Aplied the CSC-code : ORS
failed to compare '/system/csc/common/system/app/MH_10_TCS_Tablet.apk' '/system/app/MH_10_TCS_Tablet.apk' (no data available)
Thank for any help.
Your tablet may have the emmc bug, sorry but only a mother board replacement or emmc firmware update will fix it
Same problem, not yet solved.
I also have a samsung tab 2. We bought it around 2013 and started to have problems around 2015. My device started to reboot out of nowhere, infinitely, randomly. I tried to look for patterns. Couldn't find any. But i noticed something, it's stuck on it's current state. When i do things like install an app or take/delete pictures, when it restarts, everything i did would be gone and it's back to it's "current state". App that i installed? Not there. Pictures i've taken? Gone. Pictures i've deleted? It's there again. Even a hard reset won't do anything. When i do a hard reset and it reboots again, guess what, back into it's "current state" again. I've read about it on some forums, i think it's hardware related. Emmc. A notoriously bugged chip, where when you clear your cache or flash it with a new os or something like that. Boom! Brickbug. I tried sending it to the samsung dealership where i bought it. They checked it. They said the motherboard needed to be replaced, which was very expensive. I'd rather buy a new one. Now it's 2018, i'm hoping they've found an alternative to fix this tablet.

Help Get My P5110 Working Again!

Hi all. Hoping someone can finally help me get my Galaxy Tab 2 working again.
A few years ago I decided to root it and install CyanoGenMod. It worked much faster after that and everything was fine. Then one day out of the blue I turned the tablet on and it eventually loaded to the home screen but it was messed up. A few seconds later the Tab 2 reboots itself and this just repeats over and over.
If I go into recovery mode I get the message "installing system update" for less than a second and then it changes to "no command" and eventually a message loads:-
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC ...
Applied the CSC-code : BTU
did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/others.xml (No Data Available)"
If I try selecting the wipe cache partition option, it will try for a second or two and then shows error and reboots.
If I try the wipe data/factory reset option, it says the data has been wiped but the Android logo in the background changes to say 'error' underneath it. It then powers itself off. Turning it on brings up the boot loop as before with the messed up home screen appearing for a few seconds before it reboots. So it doesn't appear to be wiping any data at all.
Can anyone offer any assistance on how to get this working again please? I would be forever grateful.

See the best way to get out of this is to install the stock Samsung firmware using the ODIN tool.
Then if you ever wish to install a custom rom again you can do as you like. Hope this helps. If you are require assistance, feel free to reply to this conversation.
I have tried a few times to flash the stock firmware with ODIN but it would either install the whole thing but it actually didn't work, or the install would crash part way through.
Unless there is some error with the stock firmware I've found online, is there a link to the proper one that I can download from somewhere? Or a specific version of ODIN that is needed for it to work?

Can you help me fix "E:failed to mount /.system(invalid argument)", please?

Hi guys, please I need your help. I got a samsung A7 (2018) device which doesn't connect to network though SIMs worked even showing my contacts.
I made research and found out I have root the device since the IMEI has been tampered. I rooted with Magisk, i.e patched my AP with magisk right on my phone then flashed with odin. After rooting I downloaded Super Tool as per instructions cause I read alot of articles and watched alot of videos.
Now that's when I messed up, all I know is, I clicked "Restore original IMEI" while my device was in download mode. And upon reboot I was greeted with an error message telling me something like "update failed, connect to Smart Switch, then click on Emergency Software Recovery".
Tried that, didn't work. I reflashed using Odin several times, with even using PIT and NAND Erase but still nothing. It's just stucked at boot logo and whenever I reboot to stock recovery, this "E:failed to mount /.system" message along with other writings like "#no data on recovery_cause#" show up.
I tried many methods found here on XDA and other sites but still nothing worked. I even installed the PBRP Recovery I saw here on XDA, though that worked but it still didn't fix my problem. And it failed to install zip. 'Cause I tried installing my firmware, said "zip verification failed" and other zip files I don't even understand the message it gave.
I tried wiping cache and formatting, change file system and repair file system, still nothing.
Whenever I try the "Run graphics test" in stock recovery it shows "Installing system update" along with gage, then "Error", then "No command" then "Erasing" along with gage and then back to Recovery.
and whenever i try "wipe cache partition" option
Wipe cache partition->
--Wiping cache...
E:[PDP] lstat /c____/pdp_b__:0 - No PDP Scenario
Formatting cache...
cache wipe complete.
cache wipe complete.
I cut the story short for convenience, but I know you quite understand all procedures I took.
Please help me with anything you have, I would appreciate it.
I tried everything myself cause I want to know how everything works and because I want to study Computer Science. I'm faily familiar with codes.
I'm really sorry if you find my English hard to read or digest, I didn't mean to make it hard for you to understand me.
Thank y'all.
