Hi man, I've a little question. Can I buy a Nexus 5 by the Play Device, using a PayPal account associated to Google Wallet?

I have a PayPal MasterCard Debit Card from associated with my Google Wallet.
I use it all the time.
You just need a PayPal debit card on your PayPal account and use that debit card for Google Wallet.
Did I miss something in the original question?
To buy a device from play store, google must have a play store for mobiles in your country
For example for Greece there isn't any play store for phones so I can't buy it from there, but I can buy it from other places.. :silly:
You can buy it on eBay using PayPal

you just threw an answer not even related to the question
I`am almost sure only Visa and MasterCard creditcards are accepted on Google Play. -Edit- Also Amex and Discovery card are accepted. NOT PayPal.
Google wallet is anti paypal they are trying to compete against it so of course paypal isn't accepted

As said above if you have a PayPal cc then it should work. No reason it wouldn't. If you want to use PayPal by just doing it without the cc then no.

--ENG--
You can't link the PayPal account to the Google Wallet one, you need a credit card.
PayBal cannot be used as payment method
Yes exactly, as mentioned on the Wallet help website, PayBal cannot be used as payment method,
Google Wallet can't be used with:
Wire transfers
Bank transfers
Western Union
Money Gram
Any escrow type of payment.
At this time, PayPal can't be used to make purchases on Google Play.
Google doesn't support PayPal at the moment. You should use Google wallet.

So from this sentence although not very well written I've said that you CAN'T buy nexus 5 if you don't have a google play store in your country(for example I don't have google play store in my country, I can buy apps, I can use google play but I can't buy a phone)
and you said "you just threw an answer not even related to the question" ..you might need to edit that mate :good:

Can you all stop conflating two different things??
A PayPal credit or debit card (Visa/Mastarcard) is OBVIOUSLY different from a PayPal account.
It's not rocket science.

He asked if he can purchase a Nexus 5 using PayPal or a PayPal issued debit card, not if he can or cannot buy the device in his country. Then his question would be "Can I purchase a Nexus 5 in my country?"

If your carrier supports carrier-billing, you can do that. You can also get an American Express of Visa gift card or prepaid card. Also if you use Google Wallet you can fill your virtual Google card with funds from an actual card.
Thanks, may close the thread.

No need of worry to use wallet and debit card payment as long as you have a good updated antivirus.Since the transactions are through "secure" channel, almost zero chances of intrusions. Just register to google wallet with a valid cc. Once you buy an item from play store, you can download it at any time for any times . If you have multiple phones, you can use the same applications for all of your phone. :victory:

As shaheen7m told its safe only buddy you can trust the Google Wallet, once you buy them then when ever you want you can download them in all your devices....
So yesterday I was looking at buying an app off Google Play to support the Trinity kernel's voodoo sound. O.K., so the app is $3.50.
I go to click Purchase to buy this app and charge it to my T-Mobile account. SURPRISE! Google now forces you to sign up for Google Wallet and that you link your mobile phone account to Google Wallet. If you don't sign up for Google Wallet you can't make app purchases from Google Play.
I called T-Mobile and there's nothing they can do, Google owns the Google Play store and this is a requirement. T-Mobile isn't happy about it and people have been complaining all week.
Like most people I damned well don't want a Google Wallet account. Google has proven again and again that they can't be trusted with any personal information. Now, they want to be able to take money from us through our mobile phone carriers.
If you get Google Wallet, Google can charge you whatever they want to your Mobile Phone account. Like, what happens if Google decides to fine people that root their phones? Stranger things have happened.
Option One of buy a Google Play gift card and make purchases off that gift card.
Option Two is to use another app store, like the Amazon App Store:

So, stay Away from Goggle Play

Yeah I was really iffy about being forced to use Google+ to review apps. If this is true, Google just wants to push Wallet so that they can release a statement in a few days about "the hundreds of thousands new Google Wallet users they've seen in the past week".

I like to be able to CHOOSE if I'm going to sign up for a payment system like Google Wallet.
I don't like being FORCED to sign up. It's dishonest and unethical.
Google will never fine people for rooting phones it is not against the law and Google android is open source unlike apple or windows. Google and android actually encourage the use of the open source for development. And you should be able to still purchase through the play store with out the use of Google wallet I have not signed up with it...

A few corrections to your post:
1) Apple just made it against the law to jailbreak your iPhone
2) It is a violation of your cell service contract to root your Android
3) The low level drivers are not open source
4) Open-source is what Google decides it means.
5) Google is known for making up their own rules
example: "We at Google value your privacy" = "Give us your personal information so we can make money by giving it away to strangers"
In that context, "value" = it's valuable to Google to make money off it.

I don't see the problem here. When was the last time anyone read the EULA? There are no rights anywhere... just a false sense of security.

Hi, I need to know if there are any apps that can transfer money from Google play to PayPal using inapp purchases, either downloadable via the Play Store or Off-site. I want to buy a few things that require PayPal, but have no way to add money into PayPal . I also do not own a credit card and am not planning on getting one at all. Please help. :good:
Hi there,
Digging up this old post.
I have a similar problem with Google Play credits.
I have credits from the Google opinion rewards app. Also my phone carrier supports carrier billing and I have a reasonable amount of unused credits there usually. The problem is all these credits are bounded as AUD (Australian dollars). There are a couple of apps and games that supports IAP but they only accept USD or JPY. When you try to pay using the carrier billing option, you will get a message "Purchase currency is not supported". I went as far as asking my carrier and they say it's not something that can support "in the near future".
There was also a closed thread about similar request: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2103287
Someone could possibly write an app that supports IAP, and then transfer that amount to anywhere in other means (e.g. PayPal). Of course you will lose part of the credits since Google charges 30% for IAP, and also PayPal has a fee (I can't remember exactly what and how much), but still better than nothing (depending on how desperate you are I guess).
Then of course there's also the problem of trust here, and how to do this securely.
Any thoughts anyone?
There's an app that I use called Payback. Gives you a 50% return on your money and is transferred to you via PayPal. Never has a problem with this app and definitely safe to use. Link: https:// play. google .com/store /apps /details ?id=com.nikkell. payback (take out spaces)

Read the comment above. According to Google's rules, you cannot withdraw money.
Are there any apps now in 2021 that allow you to spend your google play balance on an amazon gift card or something? I've got a couple hundred dollar play balance that I'm not going to spend, even if I had to take a 50% hit, it'd be worth it.

Yup, there is an app called CashOut that I have used a few times. They are giving 60% conversion from google play to PayPal. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cashapp.cashout
I have an iPhone. So my google opinion rewards is linked with my PayPal acct. I don’t get surveys nearly as often as do my friends with their android phones. However, mine goes straight to my PayPal acct as soon as I hit $2.00. Every time.
I heard that you can't partially pay for an app with your Google play credit, so if you can't won't you theoretically always have a little bit of credit you can't spend? Is there anyway I can add a set amount of credit with my credit card so I can use up all my credit?
