[Q] Transfer money from Google Play to PayPal - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I need to know if there are any apps that can transfer money from Google play to PayPal using inapp purchases, either downloadable via the Play Store or Off-site. I want to buy a few things that require PayPal, but have no way to add money into PayPal . I also do not own a credit card and am not planning on getting one at all. Please help. :good:

Hi there,
Digging up this old post.
I have a similar problem with Google Play credits.
I have credits from the Google opinion rewards app. Also my phone carrier supports carrier billing and I have a reasonable amount of unused credits there usually. The problem is all these credits are bounded as AUD (Australian dollars). There are a couple of apps and games that supports IAP but they only accept USD or JPY. When you try to pay using the carrier billing option, you will get a message "Purchase currency is not supported". I went as far as asking my carrier and they say it's not something that can support "in the near future".
There was also a closed thread about similar request: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2103287
Someone could possibly write an app that supports IAP, and then transfer that amount to anywhere in other means (e.g. PayPal). Of course you will lose part of the credits since Google charges 30% for IAP, and also PayPal has a fee (I can't remember exactly what and how much), but still better than nothing (depending on how desperate you are I guess).
Then of course there's also the problem of trust here, and how to do this securely.
Any thoughts anyone?

There's an app that I use called Payback. Gives you a 50% return on your money and is transferred to you via PayPal. Never has a problem with this app and definitely safe to use. Link: https:// play. google .com/store /apps /details ?id=com.nikkell. payback (take out spaces)

hey all! since 4 years are past... is there any way to use google pay (or google wallet) to transfer my google opinion rewards cash to my Credit Card, Band Account or PayPal account? ^^

I'm also needing this. It's ridiculous that google pays us in a currency we can only use in their store and cannot get cashed out.
Should be laws against this kind of bull****.

I don't have a credit or debit card. I just redeemed my google play card on google play though. I need to transfer THAT to Paypal.

Read the comment above. According to Google's rules, you cannot withdraw money.

Are there any apps now in 2021 that allow you to spend your google play balance on an amazon gift card or something? I've got a couple hundred dollar play balance that I'm not going to spend, even if I had to take a 50% hit, it'd be worth it.

Yup, there is an app called CashOut that I have used a few times. They are giving 60% conversion from google play to PayPal. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cashapp.cashout

I have an iPhone. So my google opinion rewards is linked with my PayPal acct. I don’t get surveys nearly as often as do my friends with their android phones. However, mine goes straight to my PayPal acct as soon as I hit $2.00. Every time.

How to get Launcherpro plus free?

Hi everyone, i really like the launcherpro app and i want to get the paid version. However, I'm only a student, thus i don't have a credit card/paypal account. Can anyone help me with it? Thanks a million!

Well, there's warez, but that's not allowed here on XDA. Sorry.
Rockin' DJ05, Minimal Icognito, Clocked at 1.3Ghz
im not one to condone piracy, but google will help you........
there's free alternatives to the widgets you get on LP plus. Colorize Widgets, agenda widget, big faces. the only thing you'd be missing is resizing widgets..
don't steal apps
Agreed.
Don't steal.
Developers will just stop developing and then we'll all have to switch to iPhones........ *shudder*

Sorry, but that's a lame excuse. My 15 year old son has a debit card (and sometimes buys apps). If nothing else (and there are tons of ways to get a debit card), you could get a gift card and use it to buy apps. If you feel you must steal apps that cost less than $10, then you have more problems than just not having a credit card.
My $0.02.

I disagree. The LP dev is stupid to only allow paypal payments. I would have purchased it a long time ago if it wasn't paypal only.
I am NOT supporting warez here. Just my $.02 on the paypal only thing. I believe LPP would be used more if it didn't require paypal. At the point that a dev is circumventing the market, whats the market for?

whoa whoa whoa.. speaking out of turn here. Not all devs live in places where they are allowed to use google checkout, or to put paid apps in the market.
Don't call the guy stupid just because of where he lives. His country (Uruguay if memory serves) makes it impossible for him to use the market for a paid app. Paypal is his only viable option.
And pirating any apps is completely pathetic, but of course, it will happen. I wish I didn't see it in forums and threads on sites where developers and consumers so regularly go to support android. But, stupidity will be stupidity...
Furthermore, I'm a little confused by the way the author gets apps from the market. you can't bill to carrier, you have to use a credit card (unless you're on ATT, and even then, a month ago you couldn't). Does your mom buy all your apps? If that's the case, they why can't she buy you this one?
With T-Mobile you can charge your account as well! To be honest OP pay for the app!!! Support the developer!! Borrow a friends card! But don't take the slimy way out and look for a free pass! What if the shoes was on the other foot??

Maybe the author doesn't normally buy paid stuff. I have been on Android for years, and I have only purchased ONE app. I have donated to a few devs that make roms, but I typically don't buy apps. I WAS going to purchase LPP, but once I found out I have to deal with paypal, I quit. It's not worth it for me to go through transferring money to paypal, (3 days) and then making a payment to LPP, only to wait until the paypal payment has been recieved (another day or two) just to get a $2.99 home replacement.

Visa. MasterCard. Go to just about any bank, grocery store, or variety store and purchase one. With PayPal, you don't even need a CC. Just open a checking account.
BTW - I agree paying with PayPal is not the best option. I had a bad experience with an app and I will never do that way again. However, I still will not steal the app.

Umm you don't have to actually pay with your PayPal account, they just do the processing, you can pay with whatever credit/debit card you want. I don't even have a PayPal account and I bought the app just fine using my debit card.
PayPal can be used, can't it? I think these developers work extremely hard and it's difficult, even being broke, to use their fantastic programs and not compensate them for their time and effort.
Think of the position you're in... if your valuable time and hard work went without reward and you got no return on your investment, you'd be upset as well. It's just a couple of bucks here and there. You can EASILY find these on Google but please, don't do it, man.
I'm all for warez when someone is just going to be used once or if I'm uncertain if I'm going to pay full price for something. But if something is honestly worth the money, even my cheap ass will buy it. This world is ****ty enough. Don't go ripping off developers.

Adding to Google Play credit

So I bought a few apps and have a little over $15 remaining. I wanted to buy FF3 which is $15.99 and pay the difference, but Google won't allow me to use my credit and pay the difference. I have to charge the whole thing. I couldn't find any info - but is it possible to add credit to my balance so I can purchase FFIII?

Well - I found my answer. This is not possible so make sure you divvy up the credit properly. Now I'm not gonna purchase FFIII. Good job Google!

Why is my Google Credit payment method declined?

I was trying to purchase game. Cytus to be exact. It's a cool music game and I wanted the full version for lyk $2. Now here's my problem. I have to use my debit/credit card to purchase it. My Google Play Credit has been declined. Or at least that's what it says when I try to purchase the game. It's just this game I'm seeing it with too.
I'm guessing the developer has blocked that payment method. If this is true, then what's the point of Google Play Cards if developers can block that form of payment?
Granted, I'll buy the game later this week. It's just it was bill paying week for me last week, so this college kid don't have an extra $2. That's lunch money. LoL!!
But that's all. I want to know why a developer would block Google Credit as a form of payment... Should I upload a picture?
Here's an image of my Google Credit being declined. If this is possible, then this will render Google Play Cards useless.
Thing's I've checked:
1) Made sure it was under my primary email address since I have multiple email addresses
2)Checked to see if it was the credit itself, but I can use my Google Credit to purchase other apps.
Bump. I am running into the exact same issue. I can't figure out for the life of me why it has crapped out.
The OP already stated why it was happening. Developers on the Play Store have the option to decline certain types of payments - one of which is the Google Credits. I guess there must be a reason for it - maybe a Google Credit isn't actually worth a full Dollar to the developer due to transaction fees or something?

At no point did the OP definitively state why it was happening. He/she merely guessed at why it is happening. I'm trying to find if there's an actual reason so we can see if it can be solved or not.
Anyways, a guy on reddit was talking about his app and I was trying to buy it. Ran into the same error message. I asked him if he knew why it was happening and this is his response:
"Thanks for the feedback, as far as I read it's because Google just support multiple currencies for developers based in some countries, it doesn't support for my country yet, that makes impossible to people pay with carriers and with gift cards ... Hope they fix it soon !"
So maybe this only happens when the app's dev team is based out of certain countries that Google hasn't established all of its services/support yet. I looked the dev up on Facebook and he's in Barcelona, Spain, FWIW. It's still a guess but hey at least we have some more info.

[Q]Would this be possible and or allowed?[Q]

So many of us don't have a credit card and that means that we can't buy apps @ Play store even if we wanted to.
I had the idea to pay someone (XDA Member) for an ap so that he could buy it with his CC and then send it to me.
I would send the money through Paypal.
Wondering if this is allowed and or possible!
There are sites like AndroidPit that can help me out, but many times they just forward me to Play, which makes it useless...

Is it possible for you to get Play Store gift cards? We buy them for our boys, and they just input the code to add money to their account. Neither of them have a credit card on file.

They aren't available yet in the Netherlands.
And I don't think you get buy them digitally, only physically, else I could just look for a shop in the states that sells them online.
Edit:
Ok it seems like it is possible to buy the cards online, but when I try to redeem I get the following message:
"Gift Card and Promo Code redemption is not available in your country. Learn more."

[Q] How to use all of your Google play credit?

I heard that you can't partially pay for an app with your Google play credit, so if you can't won't you theoretically always have a little bit of credit you can't spend? Is there anyway I can add a set amount of credit with my credit card so I can use up all my credit?

I'd check on the Google play website. You will probably find a lot more answers there. You could always contact Google and ask also
