Just download and install to your PC.
Note : it will work on N9002, N9005, N9006, N9008, N9009, N900W8, N900S, N900K, N900L, N900A, N900T
**I just tested with my N9005, the rest of the model are stated on the change log.
Step by step guide :
1. Open the installed program on your PC
2. Plug your device to your PC with USB debugging enabled, make sure your PC has installed the driver of your device
3. Let it run and detect your device
4. Click "Root" button on your PC
5. Keep your eye on your device, because it will pop up the admin choice, click "ok"
6. Let it run and restart for several times
7. Done

You can install other root manager, but not super su from CF. Because it need to install special binary, so better don't take the risk.

Nope.
It is a famous Android development group in China. Just like CF. They still have a Web section or mobile and PC program to find your device rom. They have a rom hub to most of the devices. And they allow users to rate the rom like we rate app in playstore.
Their work really brilliant.

The site seems great. But the software is in chinese language! They have to add the english language!
How i can use a software that i can't understand? :laugh::laugh:
Struggling
I enabled Developer Options and selected USB Debugging Mode, but the Root Program doesn't recognise that my phone is connected.
I'm pretty sure I have the right drivers installed.
Anybody else struggling with this?

Sorted, I just needed to leave it plugged in for about 10 mins before it started to install an additional driver. Now it recognises it, but there is a red cross on the picture of the phone and some Chinese writing, don't know what it means though. So not sure whether to press the green button or not now !!

Yes, I'm using Wanam Xposed properly, double checked that I have it set to 'Official' in Wanam, but it still shows as 'Custom' on both the Download Screen and the Device Status screen.
It's no big problem, but stops me downloading official updates, that's all.
So doesnt it work with N900 (exynos models)?

If you can access your settings from the initial setup menu via the status bar (or from the white screen, lockscreen, or call yourself and pull down the notifiation bar in-call), then turn on wifi and goto: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher&hl=en from your pc.
Click install, choose your device and click ok. After the installation completes, you should be able to press the home button to access nova launcher.

You need to root your tablet, install xposed framework. In the App you will find a section to download modules. There's one there that is cosmeticsyscopenormalizer. It spoofs the Status in settings back to "Official".
I also have the stock recovery so it looks like it is all official. Seems to work well with allshare cast dongle....

Not working ... Unfortunately!
Did anyone save the update file for those of us who are rooted? Root / TWRP tripped it so I cannot download whatever 115MB update is out there.
I was rooted, no twrp. Update via kies was successful, but unrooted device.
If you can tell me where to look for update file I'll see what I can do.
Did the update via kies keep all data intact like an OTA? I can always put a stock recovery back on it and use kies, never thought about it.

It seems that I could re-root with the CF Auto root file I used last time. Root Checker basic claims I'm un-rooted but I can use titanium backup and root explorer (to rename a system file) without issue.
Can someone rooted, but not updated try root checker basic from joeykim and see if it is simply a kk issue? Just curious.

I'm not familiar with that function but I'll play with it and see what happens.
In addition to loosing root I also lost write access to the external SD card. I had to re-run the SD Fix app to restore that ability as well.
You will lose root when you update, However flash the root in odin again AND reinstall SuperSU and you will have root again. I'm updated and I have root with no problems at all.

That being said, the non-root procedure would be to try to force stop all Google services. Also, try clearing data on them. Check if the play store has updates for them.

Hi TechGuyAnthony yes it is rooted
Ok. That makes things a bit easier. You could try and get a gapps package like one from
http://opengapps.org
Though you can get one anywhere. I can kinda tell that your home screen is pretty new so I'd think out of the architecture options you have it might be Arm64. But I'd make sure with CPU-Z or something like that.
Once downloaded place on either internal or external storage. Reboot into recovery (custom recovery needed such as, TWRP, CWM, etc) and install the package. As far as I know this is a google apps issue but if it still doesn't work then you are gonna need to factory reset or something.
