Problem after clearing sdcard with new 4.2.2 firmware - HTC One S

Hello together,
i got a big problem. After I cleared the whole phone storage (using already Maximus HD) i cant mount the sd card to the notebook.
Is it possible to get the sdcard mounted with TWRP_2.6.1.0_ville_4.2.2.zip ?
I already tried a older recovery, but there i got only 48 MB Storage ... some people here know about this ...
I tried adb but its not working in recovery ...
I got no idea ...

I got a way with adb shell in recovery ... For anyone who gots the same problem here

Just fullwipe
Wipe data
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik

Thats not correct. If you got the firmweare with 4.2.2 on the phone you cant get back the old structure.
And then ? How i can get a new rom on the phone ?
The 4.2.2 recovery cant mount the storage
The only way is to push the flie with adb in recovery to the /sdcard/ location if you have cleared a storeges of your phone

OP stated he was on Maximus HD. To make this ROM run best you need to update the firmware to 4.2.2, which when installed repartitions the internal sdcard. With this firmware the only recovery usable is the modded twrp which does not mount. Any other recovery will not read the partition and only show 48mb. As stated earlier, to get files on/off the sdcard, since it can not mount, adb works while booted into recovery.
To get back the mount access, you will have to lose Maximus and downgrade the firmware

New to Sensation but not to Android - Need Help

Hey guys, just got a Sensation and naturally the first thing I did was S-off and install cwm 5.0.8.9
I'm trying to flash AOKP. It flashes successfully but when booted it reboots as soon as I select anything on the screen. Of course I've wiped /data /cache /system etc beforehand. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Fine, I thought, I'll just try another rom. I'll mount usb storage from cwm and transfer one to my sd card. NOPE. I get "E:unable to open ums lunfile" when trying to mount. And to make matters worse I'm getting an md5 error when trying to restore my backup of stock rom.
Can anyone guide me on how to get my device operational again, and ideally getting AOKP running? I'm comfortable with adb and fastboot etc
Thanks for any help

hi if you want to run ics aosp/aokp you have to flash the 3.32.xxxxx firmware inoder to work them. i think its better to use 4ext recovery.

Good to hear you're up and running again however you should still change to 4ext recovery, its built off cwm but it has some features that are needed to install many of the roms from this forum, and its pretty good at making and restoring backups

To remove any sort of further errors, I think you should reinstall stock firmware and then try CWM again.

it is simple i think..
1)just boot into recovery..
2) enter mount and storage option
3 and format all the options..
/cache
/data
/system
/sd-ext
4) reboot recovery..and...
done!..flash new rom as you wish..

[Q] TWRP wont let me flash rom, no OS installed

Well i was trying to install cleanROM 5.1 and cleanKERNEL on my HOX, but every time i would try it would say failed (unable to mount /sdcard, etc.) so i wiped my cache, did a factory reset, wiped external storage, then accidentally did a system reset so i have no OS installed now, i was running 2.20 before but found a tut to unlock bootloader and root. in bootloader it says ***tampered*** and ***unlocked***
So if i have a custom recovery installed that means im rooted right?
and basically what can i do to install this rom and kernel without an error

You have to plug it in to computer, open up "my computer" and click it... It'll ask you to reformat sdcard. Once its done, download cleanrom on your computer, mount your sdcard in trwp, and drag it onto your phone. open up recovery on your phone and flash entire rom

Just wanted to let you know that you are in the wrong forum. This is the HTC One XL forum, you need to ask your question in the Galaxy Nexus forum. That will be the best place to get an answer.

You have to flash the boot.img separately. There are only about 100 threads on this issue.

[Q] TWRP/NO OS - ROGERS - Searching forums and nothing!

I have been reading for the last couple weeks, thinking I have an answer and end up further into the hole.
Rogers HTC One X / EVITA / HBOOT 2.14. / 2.4 TWRP initially, now 2.6 / Unlocked boot loader / s-on
1. Started trying to flash AOKP 4.2.2. Flashed boot.img, then followed with TWRP recovery. All I could get was the language screen and then it stalled. Tried numerous iterations of this with various wipes and flash first and flash after.
2. Next tried Viper 3.2.7. All good till it gets to startup screen then it stops (I understand Viper has its boot.img installed to start not needing it flashed).
3. While trying various wipes to see if it would install completely I mistakenly did a factory reset! Now no OS! No Nandroid! No ROM.zip!
4. To get a ROM on SDCard tried ADB sideload thru TWRP. after running script it says unable to mount SDCARD! Suggests I reboot system! Now a little leery of rebooting for fear it will not.
5. Also tried to MOUNT HTV via TWRP on to laptop. Did not recognize said ti initialize. Formatted FAT 32 (via MAC). Now will not mount SD Card. I did drop Viper.zip into mount (cache and system OK) but can not find it using FILE MANAGER via TWRP
6. Now am in BOOTLOADER screen of Android. Thought I could flash a ROM but from what I read it does not look possible.
Can any one point me in the right direction to get this thing up and running. At this point, as much as I am learning all the time, it does me no good having my phone down for two weeks (sure glad I kept my Nexus One).
Any answer at this stage is a good answer and I appreciate all input!
Thanks
D
Sounds like you did a factory reset in bootloader which corrupts the sd card after unlocking the bootloader. You used to be able to just mount it on pc and format it but after the jb update I don't think that's possible due to the drive no longer being a mass storage device but an mtp device instead. There was a method to fix it developed by team nocturnal but it looks like the site is inaccessible right now. I'll see if there's a way to fix it and get back to you. Bear with me.
[/COLOR]By any chance have you tried wiping sd card in twrp 2.6?
Also, have done SuperCID yet?

SuperCID has not been done. It is S-ON presently.
I wiped SD Card as suggested. Saw it set up partitions. And now TWRP shows up when I mount . Can I just drop a ROM in and flash via TWRP? Any suggestions for a ROM. Could not get AOKP 4.2.2 to run or Viper 3.2.7.
Thanks for the quick assist at getting it to MOUNT.
Flash a stock sense rom and then fastboot flash boot boot.img extracted from the rom. Then use jet to downgrade hboot and SuperCID and then s-off. It'll save you lots of headaches.

It all sounds simple when you say it.
I will find a stock sense ROM to install then follow with boot.img.
Is it necessary to wipe anything more then Dalvik and Cache?
Thanks again.

In twrp 2.6 the factory reset wipes everything except sd card and system. You don't have to wipe system but I always do when I'm flashing a new rom.

Can you get back to recovery to flash a new ROM?
I have flashed many ROMS recently to try them out and also had a similar issue with one or two of them.
On my Note 2 I hold power, home and volume up to cycle power and get back to recovery and simply flash a new ROM, presto...

Not sure what is going on but here is how I flash a ROM from recovery and so far so good.
Copy rom file to external sd card in phone.
Do a full factory wipe, cache and dalvik.
Install rom.
Install Gapps if necessary or desired.
Wipe cache and dalvik again.
Reboot
Note that some roms will give you a recommended list of what to wipe if doing a new install or upgrade of that rom, if such instructions exist its best to follow those instead but the above has worked for me for a while now.

That's what is advised to do before flashing a completely different ROM anyway by some. From recovery, flash the ROM again, and if the ROM is not corrupted (check md5 or whatever comes with it), you should be good to go.
