To remove any sort of further errors, I think you should reinstall stock firmware and then try CWM again.

it is simple i think..
1)just boot into recovery..
2) enter mount and storage option
3 and format all the options..
/cache
/data
/system
/sd-ext
4) reboot recovery..and...
done!..flash new rom as you wish..

[Q] [HELP!!] stuck at RED CWM!!

hey alll,
i was running the latest Infused ROM until i decided to play around.
I backed up the current ROM using Red CWM,
then flashed DlevRom Infuse edition which worked flawlessly.
Then i decided to try MIUI Rom, and i also succeeded.
I didn't like MIUI, so I decided to "restore" my backup.
Now.. I had restored previously many times so I thought I knew what I was doing..(apparently not, cuz I'm stuck at Red CWM now..)
So I went into recovery, i think it was blue... so i remembered from my restore to infused from CM7 that I needed to be in the same recovery as the one I made the back up with. So I rebooted into MIUI, installed SGS Kernal Flasher, and flashed Bedwa's latest kernel which I was running with Infused.
So I booted into recovery, and had my Red CWM up. so i tried restoring...
here's the full CWM code(word choice?)
Checking MD5 sums...
Restoring system...
Restoring data...
E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)
Error mounting /data/!
Skipping format...
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)
Can't mound /data/!
and with this i'm at the Red CWM Menu...
Where did I go wrong? How do I successfully restore? I never ran into this problem before...
Please help!!! =( =( =(
Edit: I was desperate so I disabled voodoo lagfix from CWM menu and rebooted ... I heard the robot voice saying now it's disabled....and I'm still stuck in bootloop..
please help me get it back to a working state =(((
Use ags kernel flasher and flash the cwm community kernel to get red cwm back. You can't restore or flash other Rom's from blue. Witch you pointed out you were in red. Try mounting system/data then restore

Not to sure there might be a problem with it trying to read the backup/ mounting data. You might just have to reflash the rom you would like to use

i flashed infused v2.1.0 because it was the only Rom in my sd card...
all seemed to go well
and when i rebooted after enabling voodoo lagfix (cuz i had it disabled and it went into a boot loop) i heard the robot voice.. it said voodoo is now enabled and now its going to convert data partition.. then it says not enough space? or something like that and it goes in to a boot loop again... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
should i just ODIN back to root+3e..?
will this erase all my photos? pictures are all i care about... as long as i don't lose them..

Ran into this problem today when flashing a rom, i had to odin ultimate unbrick and erase all data from within the stock recovery (blue). I then odin-ed community kernel, enabled voodoo, then did red recovery and flashed my custom rom again and the data partiton was working again. I'm not sure what had happened, but i had to ultimate unbrick twice with the pit file.

yes.. haha which one should I use?? because I see there are three.. gtg has two and h8rift has one..
i want to do the one that puts me back to stock with root + 3e which i think both gtg and h8rift put out...
what exactly does odin back to stock "wipe"?
in gtg's post it says that it wipes data, dbdata, idk.. stuff like that and i have no idea what that means... as long as my pictures and files in my "download" folder are safe i'm good!
I've always lost root with Odin back to stock only erases system files such as apps and everything ur SD card will be fine you'll just have to re-root flash 3e recovery and cwm

[Q] Phone Keeps On Reseting (Factory Reset) After Every Reboot?

I recently Flashed Kyrillios 9.0 and 9.6 and everytime I restart my Galaxy 3 it always Factory Resets, ie all the apps I had before are gone and all my desktop widgets are gone. Even worser is that it automatically turns on the 3G Internet connection which means I get charged £1 for no reason.
Also I wiped the Cache by accident after I flash 9.6 because I Flashed it separately (I flashed 9.0 first and i used it for a month then I decided to flash 9.6) so will I have to wipe the Dalvaik Cache aswell?
Try a clean flash of a stock rom. If it still happens then only solution is changing the motherboard. Look here:

Edit: do you have 0.0kb memory bug?

The 'friend' mentioned in this post is actually me (I sign up in XDA right after he post the problem for me)
by the way, here is how I flash with odin, trying to solve my problem, is there any mistakes?:
1. Put in altas 2.2 in the PIT section
2. Put in the .tar I want to flash in the PDA section
3. Press start
The phone didn't get into recovery, it just rebooted normally

Not sure what is going on but here is how I flash a ROM from recovery and so far so good.
Copy rom file to external sd card in phone.
Do a full factory wipe, cache and dalvik.
Install rom.
Install Gapps if necessary or desired.
Wipe cache and dalvik again.
Reboot
Note that some roms will give you a recommended list of what to wipe if doing a new install or upgrade of that rom, if such instructions exist its best to follow those instead but the above has worked for me for a while now.

That's what is advised to do before flashing a completely different ROM anyway by some. From recovery, flash the ROM again, and if the ROM is not corrupted (check md5 or whatever comes with it), you should be good to go.

[Q] I9003 would not get past 'Samsung boot logo'

Hello mates, I have a I9003 which would not get past the 'Samsung' boot logo. I already tried flashing a stock ROM from sammobile.com but still the problem persists.
Tried PIT+BOOTLOADER+MODEM+PHONE+CSC,
MODEM+PHONE+CSC,
PIT+PDA (ONE FILE PACKAGE)
ONLY PDA (ONE FILE PACKAGE)
Nothing works, it is still stuck. I cannot wipe data/factory reset since I can't access stock recovery. Though going to download mode is not a problem.
Any fix for this? Or should I flash another stock ROM?
Try without sim card and flash cf root after full ddlf.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA Free mobile app
I have made some progress, I think. While after flashing CF-Root for DDLF2 after clean installing it, I've waited for the phone to boot.
Now, it booted to the same Samsung I9003 boot animation, but after a while, I think it booted into recovery and started to wipe/install, though I'm not sure because the texts were going fast.
One thing I remembered was something with unable to mount /data among others. I saw other yellow texts, and also red texts, which seems to be errors (since I've used a CWM with other phones a couple of times).
After that, it got stuck to like a loading icon, like what you see when a video is buffering in Youtube, then reboots after a while to a stuck Samsung I9003 boot animation again.
Please help me mates, would be highly appreciated.

Try flashing BCK CF-root universal. I think there was a beta 15rc7 version somewhere in the BAM kernel thread. It does include a recovery.
Only for GB ROMs, not Kitkat/JB ones.

I actually did that earlier, but the thing is as I've said is that I cannot boot to recovery with the 3-button combo. What I was hoping for is a file or kernel or anything that would automatically reboot the phone to 'recovery mode' after flashing it through Odin.

Flash all 5 at the same time. See the snapshot shown in that thread.
Also, try a different odin version (i think 1.85 worked best for me) if it fails.

Flashed it and it actually booted to recovery mode. I'll list some of the errors that arose:
E:/format_volume:rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p3
Data wipe failed
Also tried the 'apply update from sdcard', and shows:
E:/failed to mount /sdcard (File exists)

Now I'll try to flash CWM to it and hopefully boots to recovery again and flash a custom ROM :fingers-crossed:
Well, I think another progress has been made, after flashing the DDLF2 firmware again, I waited for about 7 minutes and it got past the Samsung I9003 boot logo, and it goes to the Samsung boot animation, and after that, stuck at a boot loop.

So maybe the internal mmc is corrupted. I'm not sure one to follow but definitely not the one with the wonder go program since how can I enable USB debugging if it won't even boot. Should I try to flash DDLF2 with inserting a microSD card? Or should I remove the internal mmc, which I've read in another thread was kind of successful but a little hazardous.
Try to flash froyo 2.2 with pit. Logic is to reformat the structure of the memory.

I really appreciate the help mate. Would you refer me to a link for the 2.2 stock ROMs? As I only find GB firmwares, mostly old stock ROM links are down.
May find here
