[Q] Sharing my wifi connection with my phone

Ok, I've been looking around for a couple hours now but people aren't understanding my question/dilemma
I am currently using a goWIFI connection on my tablet, I'm only allowed to login with one device at a time. So I am trying to share my xoom's wifi, not data connection with my phone so they can both be using the same wifi connection
I do not want to share a data connection with my phone, I want to share the wifi connection with my phone. How can I do this? FoxFI only seems to share data connections.

And you have tried putting your tablet in airplane mode to shutoff you mobile data connection?
Are ypu on a custom ROM? I have never tried it but some seem to offer turning your tablet into a portable wifi connection, might be the backdoor to tether your phone that you need
I dont have a data plan right nnonow for my tablet, its only running on wifi as it is. I have already disabled mobile data in settings. I am running EOS 3 build 134.
I am just looking to share the current wifi connection instead of a data connection.

[Q] Question on wifi

did anyone tried and tested while connected to a wifi then you activated wifi hot-spot? it always says "Turn off wifi to use wifi hot-spot" any one have ideas on these on how to work both while connected to a wifi then activated wifi hot-spot because hot-spot only works with mobile data network.
Its not possible
A mobile can either recieve wifi or wifi hotspot
This may help u:thumbup:
Hit thanks if i helped
Sent from my GT-S7500
Wifi hot spot means to broadcasting capability, i.e in case of a router it has hotspot which broadcast the network. router only connects devices to it's network or gateway. router dont use this wifi to get connected to another network. because it is impossible to do broadcasting and also to receive another broadcast from another device using only one gateway.
So if you are connected to a network using wifi then how you will be able to broadcast or create a wifi hotspot??
May be I made you understood..

router that will share phones hotspot wifi connection

Looking for a router that will use my phones mobile hotspot as its internet connection.
I.e I turn on wifi tether router hotspot, router connects to it and shares internet with all devices.
Only reason I want this is because I use my phone as broadband but don't want to turn it on and off to print or have a separate router just for a printer

What is WIFI sharing as opposed to MOBILE HOTSPOT

under mobile hotspot there are 2 options:
1. the usual 'share your LTE etc' data
2. WIFI Sharing.
Q: is wifi sharing: Wifi in / wifi out? for example to use on a flight when you have paid for wifi? I have been dreaming of this for years
anyone?
Yes that's exactly what it is, used it on my s7 in a hotel and gave wifi to everyone.

Can wifi and data usage be separated while BOTH are active ?

My question is there a way to separate connection (wifi or data) per app while both wifi+data are active, so for example one app uses wifi and the other uses data SIMULTANEOUSLY
When your phone is connected to your home or any other Wi-Fi network, it will not connect to the 5G, 4G, 3G, or any type of wireless carrier network.
Wi-Fi for Android is a priority. If there is Wi-Fi and Android Data, the Wi-Fi will take over the data connection. However in order to use only Mobile Data, you need to turn off the Wi-Fi manually.
Any data used via Wi-Fi will not count toward your data plan.
