under mobile hotspot there are 2 options:
1. the usual 'share your LTE etc' data
2. WIFI Sharing.
Q: is wifi sharing: Wifi in / wifi out? for example to use on a flight when you have paid for wifi? I have been dreaming of this for years

I have a question that has been bothering me for a while now.
How can I use 3g/4g internet and wifi at the same time on android? I know that there are some apps that allow this 2 network functioning, like download booster or Speedify. But is there a way to have 3g and wifi at the same time without any apps? I succeeded having 3g and wifi simultaneously on iOS by changing wifi to static and leaving DNS and Submask empty. However it does not work on Android.
It is important for me because I have a device, which creates its own wifi station and when I connect to this device I cannot stream video from my android device at the sime time by using my internet provider 3g/4g.

my problem: I'm using my U11 in an aircraft for navigation. A anti collision device (FLARM/ADS) is connected via Wifi. That works fine.
BUT unfortunately I cannot connect to the web via 3G/4G at the same time.
I tried to set "Use always mobile data" in developer settings... no success.
As long as Wifi is on no chance to connect via mobile Data.
Is ther any chance to solve my problem? THX for your help!
All android is like this I think.
Connect to wifi = kill the SIM internet, cannot enable both on the same time.
It's not a new topic btw, like when we use a GoPro and using the hotspot to control it.
Fast network switching is as close as it comes but it still won't run wifi and cell at the same time. Wifi and cell must be possible because wifi calling uses WiFi and cell (when 4g is connected).
Can you not use wifi hot-spot in some way?.
I haven't used any special Wifi tether apps for many years. I did a search and couldn't find any useful info.
My phone is rooted, on Android 9. Would appreciate tips on this topic.
I do have 10GB hotspot with my unlimited plan, but occasionally need more.

to share your mobile data via wifi hotspot:
Settings > connections > hotspot
wifi tethering (wifi connection via wifi hotspot) needs two wifi hardware modules to being able to send/receive at the same time.
