Guys, today ciwrl form CyanogenMod has posted an weekly update, where you can read:
Intel SDP
Intel’s representatives sat with us for a quick chat at DroidCon and graciously gave us one of their Software Development Platforms! The special Galaxy Tab 3.0 went home with Shane and he will (hopefully) use it as a head-start on adding x86 support into CM. Watch this space for more in the future.

This is news only for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 since only 10.1 version of GalaxyTab 3 is powered by Intel Atom chip (x86 architecture) (Tab 3 7.0 is Cortex A9 ARM, Tab 3 8.0 is Samsung Exynos 4 ARM).
Keep your fingers crossed!

I think we are out of luck. All focus will be on the new tab 4 series very soon. It's just a shame. Development hasn't went very well on this device because of the intel cpu, (I guess) I wish I had bought the tab 2 10.1.

Oh im sure the development community will be all over the tab 4 family. You can get jellybean on your home pc (dual boot with windows) but this device seems to be an orphan. At least samsung hasn't abandoned it yet. They say we will get kitkat.
Here is the link if you want jellybean on your pc. It really is pretty cool.

I just tried this. I installed android alongside windows fine but when I got to the android welcome screen it was super laggy and rebooted once. Any ideas? I have two AMD 77770's running maybe I should just run a single GPU and see if that works.
i'm looking forward onto this, because i dont want the stock on my tab 3 10.1 its very laggy.
Hope this ain't no fake.. Really looking forward on running CM on our family phone.

Hmmm I have a dell optiplex core 2 duo 3 ghz with stock intel graphics, and its usable. Some folks say they loaded it on their old pc's with 478 intel cpu's and say it made them faster than xp was. I have no proof of that, but that's what they said in some comments I found. It doesn't run that fast on my old pc. I wonder if there is anything in it that would help angel666 in the CM project.

Can you please give me a direct link to post about WiFi variant? I'm reading this thread since it opened and couldn't find any working builds for p5210. There's a P5210 boot.img and mine build.prop but after flashing it ends in Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for me ...
If anyone could compile a build for P5210 it would be great.

Hello everyone, are 2 days that I lose my mind on google looking for a guide or an update of this tablet made in china.
The tablet in question is the Flytouch 7 V10 Processor VC882-1ghz 800mhz ARM Cortex A8 Android 2.3 version of installed kernel 2.6.35.7 root @ zjd # 4
just get the tablet already mounted the Roma and that kernel rootati but wanted to know if it was possible to update it since I have frequent problems with wifi (5 minutes x locks the signal then disconnects and reconnects to infinity).
Also, I wanted to know if there is a variant of the Clockwork Mod recovery for these tablets so you can make peace with all the various functions and backup update.
Did u get an answer?

Based on @sw6lee 's build.prop information, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 powered by Marvell PXA1088 SoC.
Code:
ro.product.model=SM-T230NU
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=degaswifiue
ro.product.device=degaswifiue
ro.product.board=PXA1088
ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a

ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi
ro.product.manufacturer=samsung
ro.product.locale.language=en

ro.board.platform=mrvl
Also confirmed by Vivante: http://vivantecorp.wordpress.com/2014/05/02/vivante-powers-samsung-galaxy-tab-4/ . Vivante is the GPU maker for PXA1088 SoC, GC1000.
More information about PXA1088: http://www.marvell.com/communication-processors/pxa1088/features.jsp
I experienced working for PXA988 device Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 in kernel level, though I don't own this device. Based on Marvell, PXA1088 platform compatible to PXA988, both powered by Vivante GC1000 GPU. Some information for you:
Tab 3 7.0 ramdisk size limited to 1MB from the bootloader, too small for custom recovery
No USB host support, hardware limitation
No AOSP reference out there, it's hard to build a custom ROM
I managed to fix ramdisk size limitation https://github.com/kumajaya/android...mmit/2f156084ddcdea962ce23d68ad6a7b191dbc0075 and immediately custom recovery available for Tab 3 7. With touchscreen fix https://github.com/kumajaya/android...mmit/caa7019bcca4ce714d3c1288ac5471334acb0d98, touch base recovery also available. It's hard for the other two problems and I have no access to Tab 3 7.0 device. Custom kernel also available for Tab 3 7.0, of course from me Somehow only xz compressed boot/recovery image manage to boot Tab 3 7.0 :laugh:
Tab 4 7 owner, it's a good idea to upload your device boot.img and recovery.img here. I'll investigate it for you :good: Give me your device "cat /proc/cmdline" output.
This would be a great start for our tabs

how could be Samsung fooling us?
Wiki can be edited by anyone. Just run the cpuz app on the 7.0 and it will confirm marvell
Only the 8.0 & 10.1 have the Snapdragon.
Ketut, any chance we can recruit you to work on the 8 & 10.1?

For now I am only interested in the Tab 4 7.0 to open a possibility to bring back Tab 4 7.0 update to Tab 3 7.0 .
I used cpu-7 and my device says that its powered by arm cortex-a7 with a vivante gc1000 gpu. I have the 7inch sm-t230nu
Got it now !
It seems Tab 4 7.0 have a Marvell PXA1088 SoC
While Tab 4 8.0 could have a Qualcom Snapdragon MSM8226.
Still wondering WHY samsung always make Tab 8" better than 7" even 10.1" sometimes

I am NOT sure Tab 4 7.0 is for Gaming because Marvell PXA1088 and Vivante GC 1000 combination seems NOT to be okay.
However Tab 4 8.0 should handle all latest games with NO noticeable lag because of the Qualcom MSM8226 and Adreno 305 (with OpenGL 3.0 ). So I would suggest you to buy this if want a gaming Tab 4.
The same situation happened with Tab 3 series where Tab 3 8" was the gaming one because of its Exynos Dual 4212 CPU and the Quad Core Mali-400MP GPU. Even Tab 3 10.1 Gaming was a bit worst than Tab 3 8" (and I had the Tab 3 10.1 P5210)

What makes you think so? Android 6 runs well on my opinion, should do the same for android oreo Go.
android oreo Go is made for hardware with 512 Mo or 1Go of memory, the galaxy tab 2 is in !
like @Lightracer say, android 6 is running well, android 7 is going to be good on this galaxy tab, an android 8 lite should run too

Guys, I am new to this forum. My Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (7 inch) T231 is running on very old Android KitKat version 4.4.2. This is the last official OS update received. Many apps are not supported on this old android.
Please provide a stable Lineage OS version, ROM file link and whole process to install.
I will be ok with installing Lineage OS version 13 and above (i.e. Marshmallow 6 and above), which ever is most stable.
Thank you in advance.

Since you are new, a few words...
People may understand your request different, like one understands "is there some out there who can help me and how can I help..." and others may understand "give me that ROM, you are there to provide me stuff..." So better be slightly "overpolite".
Developers and development teams just share their work on XDA and improve it based on the feedback the users or other developers give them. We can be happy, that XDA is a big development hub and have to be very respectful. :good:
The Tab 4 is a very old device, in my case I just use it as a small power bank. Display resolution, RAM, system speed... however, developing may be suspended and you cannot expect newer custom ROM releases.
I will explain quickly because Galaxy tab 4 7.0 variants don't get support.
8.0 and 10.1 models have SD400 (msm8226) SoC, 7.0 has a Marvell for the wifi variant and an Exynos for 3G and LTE variants. And it's easier to work on qcom-powered devices
I'm gonna go ahead an do what nobody else here would and answer your question. And it indeed works because I did it just last night. Just follow the link below
