Try to flash it in recovery, for some reason it aborted the command. than ive try a earlier release supersu1.43 . Same problem it will abort the command. than i switch to TWRP latest image . try doing the same and it still fails. ive also try -viperboys- method it did the same thing it aborted the command of flashing any type of zip files.

[Q]Cant Install Updates from Recovery

Ok, I cant install any update.zip files or NAND stuff to go back to stock. Everytime I try, it says E: signature failure and aborted. Ive wiped all my data and everything too.
Here is the screen info.
Android System Recovery <3e>
reboot system now
apply update from /sdcard << cant install anything using this.
wipe data/factory
wipe cache partition
So everytime I try to install something it says E: signature verification failed.
I run a WIND Nexus S, with a the ICS 4.0.3, which really ate up my memory and started lagging like turtle after an hour or 2. SO I wanna go back to stock and install another version that hopefully rus better and smoother. Please help
Do you have cwm 5.0.2.x or greater?
No, I think Im 3.xx something. BUt Ive tried updating thru rom manager and it says I dont have the privileges. I have superuser installed o I dont know why its not letting me. Do I have to manually apply the 5.8.0 touch update???
I assume you have an unlocked bootloader, so use fastboot to upgrade to v5 or greater. You don't need the touch if you don't want it, you can just use 5.0.2.0 if you prefer.
Recap of command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
You can get the latest superuser .zip file from here. You can probably flash that through the older recovery if you're unsure how to use fastboot.
Thanks for the replies Harbb. SO I did fastboot flash recover to the new 5.0.2.0.. but nothing happened. The cmd did say recovery sent in 1.7 secs. But when I reboot nothing changed. Its still the same recovery at 3e and I still cant install updates cuz of the e: signature verification failure.
EDIT: I just got it to work. Thank for the help Harbb, extremely appreciated.
Good to know you got it sorted

Deleted Operating System

Hello,i accidentally deleted my operating system,i tried everything to flash a new one ,every custom roms out there.
The TWRP version is 2.5.0.0
Everytime i execute the ZIP files from TWRP errors appear :
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/BackToBasicsV2.zip'
Error executing updater binary in zip : 'sdcard/BackToBasics'
Could you provide me a working tutorial?I tried every tutorial from here and nothing worked,i don't know what to do anymore.
I had a similar problem in which I accidentally pressed factory reset in bootloader instead of recovery (WHY ARE THEY SO CLOSE?!). Anyway, I ended up having to factory reset from recovery and wipe everything on my phone, then I adb pushed a rom to my phone and it finally let me flash it. Although I recommend waiting until someone else posts something as this is more of a "last resort" lol

Connect your phone to your PC find it in devices and format it... Download twrp 2.3.3 recovery image and install it with fast boot.. Then paste a ROM to your SD card and flash away NP...don't forget the boot.IMG when flashing your new ROM it will have to be flashed with fast boot also..

Still not working, anyone please, any other ideas?

[Q] Botched TWRP upgrade, now lost root access

While attempting to switch to CM11 I tried upgrading TWRP from 2.4.4 to the newest 2.6+ and it messed up my recovery. Then, while trying to re-flash an older TWRP, I accidentally installed SuperSU over an existing install, and lost root. Tried re-rooting the device using motochopper and it gets to the last part, "rooting device" and it says "failed". Device the reboots, I try to open SuperSU and it says "no SU binary installed". All I'm trying to do is put back TWRP 4.2.2 so I can restore my device. Please help
EDIT: Tried using fastboot to install image, everything looks good, then my tablet freezes up. I do a power cycle, it reboots, and the recovery didn't flash.
UPDATE: Recovery flashed and wiped EVERYTHING. I am back on recovery 4.2.2.0 but nothing is mounted and I can't mount anything, I can't make backups or restore images, and ADB Sideload does not work. Any help would be really, really awesome. I have SDK Manager, and I can currently use ADB on my computer, I just don't know what commands, blobs, or images to use.

Can you use fastboot to reflash the stock ROM?

Problem with TWRP

Hi i got a Problem with TWRP. I just installed 2.5.0.0 now I know its not updated. I get a error message everytime want to install the new CM: error executing updater binary in zip twrp.
Now I cant install any rom and i wiped my device already any ideas?
start from the beginning
you are going to need to flash the asus stock rom over top , Root it then flash the TWRP from the OP:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2691886
and then flash CM 11.

Flashing Problem

I just finished rooting and gaining S-off on my 4.4.4 M8 and installed a recovery through flashify. However when I go into recovery mode to install CleanRom I get "E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/CleanROM-3.0.zip'" I searched for a solution but I wasn't able to find anything.
What recovery were u using when u tried flashing
