Hello All,
I just recently bought an Xperia X1 and got it paired with a PS3 DualShock 3 controller. I then proceeded to root the phone and downloaded the Sixaxis controller app. Its amazing. I went through the whole forum and downloaded heaps of .map files for it and I created my own for the games that I like. I did like to share it with everyone else so here goes.
Sixaxis controller app touch profiles using Xperia Z1.
1, Ensure you have rooted the phone before proceeding else it won't work.
2. Download the Sixaxis compatibility checker at the Google PlayStore
3. Once tested and it works fine then download the Sixaxis Controller at Google PlayStore
4. Download the .maps files based on the games that you want below. Then put it in \data\com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller\profiles
5. Once that is done, execute the Sixaxis Controller app, and click on the "3 dots" button on the top right of the screen. Select preference.
6. Select Touch Emulation -> select Edit Touch Profiles -> select Load Profile -> Select the .map file then save.
7. Go back to the main page -> Application Profiles -> Manage Profiles -> Create Profle -> Select the game -> load the map file with the game.
For those who want to contribute, please post here and I will link the first post to your post =)
Thanks all.

When you launch Asphalt 8, touch the screen to continue. DO NOT press anything on the DualShock controllers until you are in the game, else Asphalt will detect the DualShock controllers as Moga and the profile below won't work.

Left Dpad = Steer Left
Right Dpad = Steer Right
Circle = Turbo
Cross = Break

Nice one...any chance we'll see maps file for Fifa13?

Hi all !
More than 10 years ago, I was playing Dune on my compter ! Now, I tried to "emulate" it on my Windows 7 64 bits, but it's crashing so I looked around to make it work for Android, and I succeed on my HTC Desire HD (WVGA Device). Should work for all other WVGA devices, dunno for others !
In more, as it's an abandonware, it's free.

How to ? Step by step :
1. Download and install this : http://code.google.com/p/adosbox/downloads/detail?name=aDOSBox-0.2-beta.apk
2. Get the game for free HERE* : http://www.bestoldgames.net/eng/old-games/dune.php
3. Extract the folder "dune" from the zip to the root of sdcard. Unplug your mobile from your computer
4. Launcher aDOSbox downloaded in step1 and then :
- Make Menu to get keyboard
- Type cd dune and do enter or hit the square with one inside
- Type dune and do enter or hit the square with one inside
- Game launched !
*I did not tried with the ENGLISH version but with the FRENCH VERSION HERE, but normally it's the same
Tips in game
- Personnaly, I only use the pad from the emulator + the square with the number 1 inside which is equal to "normal clic" with the mouse
- To save/load game :
> Make "SEE DUNE MAP"
> On the left down corner, go to yellow "ball"
> There, you have Menu with "Save/Load Game", 2 slots available
- You can also save when you are in front of the mirror

Great game!
Also working in the same way, the game "Carmen San Diego"
oh man, i got a huge list of good old games, i just need more space on my phone to install them all.
there are several good legit abandonedware websites, which will pull any title off if & when they become re-licensed.
One of the best ones I know is "Home of the Underdogs"..... Oy... Yet another way to waste my time.... Lol.
Works on the Viewsonic G Tablet.
Big Thanks!!
Happy you enjoy it !
After some hours of playing DUNE, the gameplay is really playable, and the game is still so amazing !
One of the best classic games ever IMHO.
Well I got no sound Any chance to get the option screen back @ first launch? Maybe there are some sound settings

Has anybody tried any of the other games running on DosBox?
At a risk of looking even more noobish, I can't seem to get a keyboard to appear when I start up aDos Box?
The keyboard is active when I shut down the app, but not when I'm in it?
I'm trying this on a HTC Desire btw.

In aDOSbox, to make the keyboard appears, simply press Menu (maybe several times). Did you tried to do that?
In the game "Dune", you never need the keyboard
Keep me informed,

Yeah, I tried that but no keyboard appears. However, it is up when I exit ADosBox??
I can get the C:\ prompt, but can't type anything.
Did you see in the up-left corner, there is "Ab", if you click on it, nothing happen?

I'm wondering if there is an app that exists where you can use your android phone as a game controller to play games on the TF? The TF is a little bit uncomfortable for playing games like Zelda for extended periods of time. It would be nice to know that I can just grab out my phone and prop my TF up to start playing.
I know that using an xbox controller, Wii controller, or PS3 controller via bluetooth or wired works but the problem is I only have a wired xbox 360 controller and I don't own the TF docking station (yet).

Im hoping this comes along eventually. I remember this on iPad + iPhone. You could install a snes emulator on iPad and the controll app on the iphone and use it that way. You had to be jailbroken for it to work because the app was in cydia.
In addition, using your TF w/ Dock as a PS3 keyboard...

Android phone as game controller on pc
In order to use your android device as a game controller on your PC you need 2 applications. One for your android device called "agamepad.apk", and another program for your PC called "PPJoySetup". PPJoySetup is currently being made compatible with Windows 7 64-bit, and perhaps a few other OS. Here are the instructions on how to install and use, as well as a few links to the directions and pertaining to this subject:
aGamepad allows you to use your Android based phone as gamepad for Windows. It supports three analog axes and up to 32 buttons (currently implemented 4).
Special thanks to:
Tsutomu SEKI
Windows side of application is based on his sources.
Deon van der Westhuysen
For writing such a great application as PPJoy.
How to use
Download aGamepad.apk and install it on your device
Download PPJoySetup and install it on your PC
Download controller.dll and extract it somewhere
After installing PPJoySetup run Configure Joysticks (Programs->Parallel Port Joystick)
Press Add
Make sure that Parallel port field is set to Virtual Joysticks. Press Add
Wait for drivers to be installed
Choose currently added joystick from list and press Mapping
Press Next
Choose any number of axes (max 3)
Choose number of buttons (currently max 4)
Set POV to 0 and press Next
Make sure there is for each axis set Analog N and press Next
Press Next and Finish
Press Done
Now everything is ready for use
Run PPJoyDLL (Programs->Parallel Port Joystick)
Choose DLL type to Callback DLL interface and press Load DLL
Point the dll you saved earlier
Now run aGamepad on your phone (assuming that you have connected with your PC using wifi)
Enter IP address of your PC and press Ok
If you see in PPJoyDLL's window line "Sending joystick updates to PPJoy" it means that everything works.
Apparently, I cannot post any links because this website fears spam links, but you can google it. I just read that PPJoySetup 0.8.4.5 supports 64bit, there might also be .6 out now.
Enjoy.
MoffoCobain that is useful but not quite what the OP was after... the ability to use an android phone to control an android tablet.
Would be interested in doing this as well

Instructions:
If you are unable to watch the youtube video demonstration and instructions you can try to setup BT Controller by following these steps:
1. Open BT Controller on both devices
2. Allow bluetooth to turn on by pressing 'Yes' at the prompt
2. Set one device as visible if you have never connected these devices via bluetooth before (you can do this by pressing the 'Visible' button
3. Press the connect button on the other device (the one that was not made visible) and then press scan to locate your other device
4. Once the device comes up in the list select it to connect
5. Once the devices have connected you will be given the option to select the purpose of the device. Select 'Host' if the device is going to run the emulator or 'Controller' if you plan to use this device as a gamepad
6. The other device will automatically switch to the other device purpose
7. On the Host, you will need to do 2 things. Enabled the BT Controller Keyboard and Set the BT Controller as active. A checklist will appear in the top right corner for the host device and you can click the check boxes to bring up the appropriate settings screens to enable and activate the BT Controller keyboard
8. Once both have been set correctly the checklist will show you the controller device's input for testing. If the input is working correctly you can close the checklist and open up your emulator or game that supports custom input methods.
9. Navigate to the input configuration for your emulator or game and set up each button (Key mappings in snesoid, you also need to enabled the custom input option in "Other settings".
10. Start a game
i already have a ps3 dualshock3 controller that I pair with Sixaxis app which have been working very well for me. But this app also sounds like a good backup idea in case i dont have the controller on me--- i always have my android phone. But my question is, do you know how well it works in conjunction with sixaxis? say I want to use the ps3 controller + sixaxis for Player 1, and use this app to pair up my android phone to use as a controller for Player 2....
I don't have a ps3 controller but let me know how it goes if you get a chance to try it out. I'll try it out with the wiimote ime.
I assume it will work fine as long as your device can accept and maintain multiple bluetooth connections and the keys being pressed are different on both apps.
This app will press D-Pad Up / Down ect. so if the sixaxis controller also uses these keys you may have some problems.
I'd love to try this with sixaxis controller app, but I'm unable to find any game that supports 2-player mode. and I'm surprised that no one is commenting on here....im guessing that they dont see this thread as xda have 9123891238923 forums/sub forums. LOL anyway bump and gl with this app!!

Don't think it would since it hasn't been updated in quite a while but you could try for yourself.
Hi folks,
I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, at least I couldn't find anything. So here goes...
As the Android version of GTA 3 is actually (more or less) a port of the PC version, you'll need to enter the PC cheats. The problem of invoking the virtual keyboard can be solved by using an app called GameKeyboard (Market link: http://bit.ly/sUoT3F). A very useful keyboard replacement btw, especially if you like emulators.
1. Download and install GameKeyboard
EDIT! There's a new version out (1.2.4), that allows you to use Vol+ button to call out the keyboard anytime:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So ignore # 2, 5 and 6 of this guide. Simply configure GameKeyboard, set it as default input method, start GTA 3 and press Vol+ to enter the cheats.
2. Put shortcuts to both GameKeyboard and GTA III on your device's desktop:
3. Start the app, tap & hold "Step 2: Tap here, then long press...", and select GameKeyboard as input method (you can chose any other keyboard, but stick to GameKeyboard, see #4):
4. Configure GameKeyboard. Important: configure at least one button to respond to "Enter", so you can resume your last game and actually begin playing (for some obscure reason, GTA won't respond to any virtual keyboards' Enter button, at least as far as I have tried); you might also want to select "Swipe Left/Right Action", set transparency and button size:
5. Now, below "Step 4", select "(Optional) Tap here to call out keyboard after exit"...
6. ...so you get something like this:
7. Start GTA III, hit the key you configured as "Enter" until your last savegame is resumed:
8. Once ingame, either swipe left or right across the Gamepad or press and hold (!) the back key for two seconds.
9. Either way, you'll end up seeing a transparent virtual keyboard. *Slowly* enter your cheats (e.g. Money cheat ) - don't tap too fast or the cheat won't be recognized:
That's it! You can even control GTA with GameKeyboard, but it's very clumsy IMO and frequently leads to crashes (in addition to the usual ones ). I've yet to find a safe way to invoke it while playing (NOPOLICEPLEASE...); the game crashes on me as soon as I hold the menu button to switch to the GameKeyboard app.
One strange thing I've encountered so far: the tank cheat doesn't work; "GIVEUSATANK" only makes different cars fall out of the sky . The tank cheat does work, but it's a bit tedious: you have to keep entering the cheat until the Rhino appears; but before it does, all sorts of cars will fall out of the sky. Once you see the ice cream truck and a short while after that the police car, it's not far
That's it! Have fun
For the sake of convenience, here are two settings files. You'll need a root explorer and root access to use them:
1. Copy "GTA III_profile.json" to /data/data/com.locnet.gamekeyboard
2. Copy "com.locnet.gamekeyboard_preferences.xml" into /dbdata/databases/com.locnet.gamekeyboard/shared_prefs
This will give you a set of predefined macros and a custom profile. Enter GameKeyboard's settings menu, select "Load Profile" and load "GTA III". The macros are defined like this:
Macro 1 = BANG
Macro 2 = MOREPOLICEPLEASE
Macro 3 = NOPOLICEPLEASE
Macro 4 = SKINCANCERFORME
Macro 5 = TORTOISE
Macro 6 = HEALTH
Macro 7 = IFIWEREARICHMAN
*Edit*:
Macro 8 = GIVEUSATANK
Macro 1 is assigned to button A, macro 2 to button B etc., macro 7 macro 8 to button R; button L works as "Enter" key so you can start the game and enter/exit cars. I set "BANG" (instead of BANGBANGBANG) in Macro 1 on purpose, so you can press it twice before the "Turismo" race starts, and once again as soon as it has begun to blow up the other cars .
You can also assign the macros to different buttons easily through GameKeyboard's settings menu.
*Edit*: I've reduced the keypress duration inside the macros from 400ms to 100ms, except in macro 1 (now 300ms) that crashed on me with lower settings.
Cheers!

Depending on which error you're getting, you'll either have to modify your build.prop to a compatible type of R800 or use market enabler to "fake" a different region.

However, many people are reporting that market enabler is not working as it used to, which makes sense with all the updates the play store has gotten. In light of that, I have another method for you.
You are probably already aware of the MOGA bluetooth gamepad, the controller that must be used with an app called MOGA Pivot. Why am I bringing up the MOGA you say? Glad you asked! Within the MOGA Pivot app, which is free to download on Google Play, is a free copy of PAC-Man XperiaPlay/BluetoothController edition. Here is an easy, non-root method of installing it.
1. Install Astro File Manager, Androzip free, and MOGA Pivot from Google Play. They are all free and should not be region restricted.
2. Open Astro File Manager, and swipe from the right to the left of your screen so it shows the "tools" menu and click on application manager.
3. Find MOGA Pivot and check the check box next to it then press menu then backup.
4. Open Androzip free then go to backups/apps then click on com.bda.pivot.mogapgp-1.apk and click "extract file here"
5. while still in androzip, go to backups/apps/assets/emulators and long press on signed_PacMan_MOGA_NO_DRM.mp3 and select rename to rename it to signed_PacMan_MOGA_NO_DRM.APK
6. Click on signed_PacMan_MOGA_NO_DRM.APK and press install.
