I'm wondering if there is an app that exists where you can use your android phone as a game controller to play games on the TF? The TF is a little bit uncomfortable for playing games like Zelda for extended periods of time. It would be nice to know that I can just grab out my phone and prop my TF up to start playing.
I know that using an xbox controller, Wii controller, or PS3 controller via bluetooth or wired works but the problem is I only have a wired xbox 360 controller and I don't own the TF docking station (yet).

Im hoping this comes along eventually. I remember this on iPad + iPhone. You could install a snes emulator on iPad and the controll app on the iphone and use it that way. You had to be jailbroken for it to work because the app was in cydia.
In addition, using your TF w/ Dock as a PS3 keyboard...
There's an app for that! (c)

Android phone as game controller on pc
In order to use your android device as a game controller on your PC you need 2 applications. One for your android device called "agamepad.apk", and another program for your PC called "PPJoySetup". PPJoySetup is currently being made compatible with Windows 7 64-bit, and perhaps a few other OS. Here are the instructions on how to install and use, as well as a few links to the directions and pertaining to this subject:
aGamepad allows you to use your Android based phone as gamepad for Windows. It supports three analog axes and up to 32 buttons (currently implemented 4).
Special thanks to:
Tsutomu SEKI
Windows side of application is based on his sources.
Deon van der Westhuysen
For writing such a great application as PPJoy.
How to use
Download aGamepad.apk and install it on your device
Download PPJoySetup and install it on your PC
Download controller.dll and extract it somewhere
After installing PPJoySetup run Configure Joysticks (Programs->Parallel Port Joystick)
Press Add
Make sure that Parallel port field is set to Virtual Joysticks. Press Add
Wait for drivers to be installed
Choose currently added joystick from list and press Mapping
Press Next
Choose any number of axes (max 3)
Choose number of buttons (currently max 4)
Set POV to 0 and press Next
Make sure there is for each axis set Analog N and press Next
Press Next and Finish
Press Done
Now everything is ready for use
Run PPJoyDLL (Programs->Parallel Port Joystick)
Choose DLL type to Callback DLL interface and press Load DLL
Point the dll you saved earlier
Now run aGamepad on your phone (assuming that you have connected with your PC using wifi)
Enter IP address of your PC and press Ok
If you see in PPJoyDLL's window line "Sending joystick updates to PPJoy" it means that everything works.
Apparently, I cannot post any links because this website fears spam links, but you can google it. I just read that PPJoySetup 0.8.4.5 supports 64bit, there might also be .6 out now.
Enjoy.
MoffoCobain that is useful but not quite what the OP was after... the ability to use an android phone to control an android tablet.
Would be interested in doing this as well

Yay works on Samsung Captivate running cm7 but not any of the stock firmware. kind of a pain to use though as it only supports one touch at a time.
not work here. agamepad force close error on my LG3D stock rom 10K.
How do I update my Bluetooth stack to use this app?

Just wanted to let everyone who was curious know, n64oid runs so well on the transformer. I plugged it into my tv and played some mariokart and super smash brothers, and it ran flawlessly!
What kind of control scheme? It'd be neat to turn the Transformer into a little Emulator hub that you can connect to a TV and use a wiimote with.

Do you know if that lets you connect more than one at a time? I'm assuming that's not possible...
I've been using the same setup with the wii remote app. Super smash bros runs almost flawlessly - just has some missing eyes on some of the characters. The free wiimote app does allow you to use more than one controller (and even the nunchuck), but n64oid doesn't have local multiplayer capabilities. I heard that local multiplayer should work on snesoid and some other emulators though.
I'll second everything said above. N64oid and snesoid both work brilliantly with wiimote controller app. I am using a classic controller plugged into the wiimote and it is perfect. Played mario kart, zelda link to the past, super mario 64, spindizzy, zelda ocarina of time.
What version are you guys using? Mine runs some games okay and others are very broken. Also, it's still missing from the market, correct?
V. 1.1.2
Can't remember where I downloaded it from . It was off a link from another site. Try googling it.

It's not just you or your version; most Roms don't work at all.
I'm using v1.1.4 and the roms I've tried work well. especially with wiiremote
the question now is where can we find the cheapest wiress old school controller. i havent got a wii so that leaves me with buying a new setup
Im using 1.1.4 and it seems to keep crashing about about a minute into a game.
Just wanted to add that it was failing because the roms were in the dropbox folder. I put them on the SD card and all is well. Also wanted to add that this app is AMAZING withheld dock because you can configure the keys. Wasd configuration is fun with Mario Kart 64
Here's my current setup. Using the Wiimote Classic attachment with the keys mapped into N64oid.

N64oid coming back to the market soon?!
I ran across this post and thought it was worth mentioning:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-applications/145012-n64oid-expected-return-mid-may.html
He claims to have heard from the developer and says that the dev is trying to have it back to the market by mid May.
"I am trying to get it back in the middle of May. Thanks!"
If true, this is great news.

Sick, well jealous! Can't wait til my dock comes, think I'll buy a controller too (don't have a wii). Oh and I hope the app is back up soon! Don't have that either.
I've started a master list of emulators and games that are tested to work. Please post the games you have tested

I briefly tried Goldeneye, Star Fox, and Smash Bros and they were all pretty laggy. Is anyone else having this issue?
Is anyone else having very skippy audio issues or is it just a bad rom? I've tried multiple Ocarina of Time roms but all seem to suffer the same audio skips. The video is, however, very smooth and wonderful to play!
Maybe this is resolved when I hook it up via HDMI?

Use your device as a controller for any other android device
This is a free / ad supported app - Market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=droidbean.btcontroller
BT Controller allows you to use your android device as a gamepad controller for any other android device.
For example, you can play a snes emulator on your tablet connected to your tv with your phone as the controller. It also works the other way around, you can use your tablet as a controller for your phone or a phone as a controller for another phone ect.
This version is Ad supported. Please consider purchasing the Ad-Free version.
https://market.android.com/details?id=droidbean.btcontrollerfull&feature=related_apps
BT Controller only works with emulators and games that support custom inputs.

Instructions:
If you are unable to watch the youtube video demonstration and instructions you can try to setup BT Controller by following these steps:
1. Open BT Controller on both devices
2. Allow bluetooth to turn on by pressing 'Yes' at the prompt
2. Set one device as visible if you have never connected these devices via bluetooth before (you can do this by pressing the 'Visible' button
3. Press the connect button on the other device (the one that was not made visible) and then press scan to locate your other device
4. Once the device comes up in the list select it to connect
5. Once the devices have connected you will be given the option to select the purpose of the device. Select 'Host' if the device is going to run the emulator or 'Controller' if you plan to use this device as a gamepad
6. The other device will automatically switch to the other device purpose
7. On the Host, you will need to do 2 things. Enabled the BT Controller Keyboard and Set the BT Controller as active. A checklist will appear in the top right corner for the host device and you can click the check boxes to bring up the appropriate settings screens to enable and activate the BT Controller keyboard
8. Once both have been set correctly the checklist will show you the controller device's input for testing. If the input is working correctly you can close the checklist and open up your emulator or game that supports custom input methods.
9. Navigate to the input configuration for your emulator or game and set up each button (Key mappings in snesoid, you also need to enabled the custom input option in "Other settings".
10. Start a game
i already have a ps3 dualshock3 controller that I pair with Sixaxis app which have been working very well for me. But this app also sounds like a good backup idea in case i dont have the controller on me--- i always have my android phone. But my question is, do you know how well it works in conjunction with sixaxis? say I want to use the ps3 controller + sixaxis for Player 1, and use this app to pair up my android phone to use as a controller for Player 2....
I don't have a ps3 controller but let me know how it goes if you get a chance to try it out. I'll try it out with the wiimote ime.
I assume it will work fine as long as your device can accept and maintain multiple bluetooth connections and the keys being pressed are different on both apps.
This app will press D-Pad Up / Down ect. so if the sixaxis controller also uses these keys you may have some problems.
I'd love to try this with sixaxis controller app, but I'm unable to find any game that supports 2-player mode. and I'm surprised that no one is commenting on here....im guessing that they dont see this thread as xda have 9123891238923 forums/sub forums. LOL anyway bump and gl with this app!!

It was really simple...
Here's what I used:
- Version 1.1.5 of the app, makes disk read/writes much faster!
- Windows 95 SDcard/usb version. (i'm not allowed to post the link to this - search google).
Just install the windows 95 to your sdcard, type win and wait a few seconds and then Windows 95 starts up and is fully usable! Don't forget to shutdown windows after you are done, otherwise you'll have possible disk corruption and scandisk will want to run at the next startup!

Sounds like your issue is that the game conversion Sd data is not right as you should see the menu and loading screens in game at least.
Some people have been able to load on Xperia play with lazy load setting enabled but overclock and optimized ram (less installed apps or maybe use of ram manager/ supercharger v6) mite help you achieve this.

A little late, but...
So I know this thread is a little old, but I have a question here.
Does anyone think it would be possible to run the standalone Terraria server command line application off of an android device?
I think this would be great if I could take a somewhat older and weaker droid x2 and turn it into a terraria server host, it would greatly reduce the strain on my pc.
If no one really has an answer to that then I may just continue crawling through piles of useless search results until I find something.
if you can run the full game you should be able to do that.
By the way... how does the game control on the play? I mean, can you control the mouse with touchpads? It's not optimized, so it shouldn't work. If it doesn't, maybe gamekeyboard does. Did anyone try it out?
Can I use this on my galaxy trend?
'Kay Im getting quite irritated on this now. Ive been trying to get any of my controllers working on the S for the past 3 days without success.
Of course I got USB OTG via the bricked kernel, and its enabled.
All controllers are found by the device in dmesg, their IDs are correct etc.
BUT, none of them actually works!
I have 3 controllers,
nr1 is apissold logitech wingman which works for everything (awesome test-pad tbh). With that it reacts to left/right on the homescreens, but I cant bind any buttons in any emu (note: this controller works fine on the TF101 and Novo7)
nr2 is an Xbox controllerS (yes, the original xbox). Doesnt work at all. deviceID shows up and it gets power, but no reaction from button presses.
nr3 is a wireless 360 controller, same thing there - both the adapter and controller shows the ID correctly.
Ive tried to find them in the "USB/BT Joycenter" app, which seems to be the only one capable of this sort of thing...
That thing doesnt find any connected device, at all. I read that I could add missing devices in a file on the SD card... But of course, all the IDs for all 3 controllers were already there...
Ive also tried this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792531
Adding the profiles for the wireless xbox360 as instructed... Nope, not working...
Can this be a kernel issue? 4.0.4 bug? Crappy phone? For god sake all I want is to play some SNES with a controller

Edit: Lets make one thing clear: I dont care about your working PS3 and Wii controllers, thats not the question.. The question is regarding a bog-standard PnP controller (that works on both my tablets PnP) and Xbox controllers.
