Hey Everyone
Can anyone tell me why auto rotate on the home screen is not an option for sense roms? I enjoy the look of the sense roms but like the home screen rotate on non sense roms. Is there a package I can install to turn on the auto rotate?

Htc didn't think it was necessary since as far as i know they haven't so far released a sense phone with a keyboard. Auto rotate should be added to the evo shift 4g. Maybe once that gets released the feature may be added in roms

I know LauncherPro support autorotation, but you won't get the Sense look or HTC's widgets (although the LP Plus widgets are similar).
I installed the Gravity Home wallpaper available on the market, uninstalled it, and i think it killed the rotation of sense. Everything can rotate except Sense.
But i don't remember if it used to rotate before. Can someone tell me? And if it used to rotate, any idea how to get it back?
Thanks
Sense 3.0 (stock) does not rotate. I am hoping a dev can unlock that potential in a ROM though. Anyone know if that is even possible?
Thanks i just needed to know that
Outdated, there will be an update/new release soon!
It shocks me that this doesn't already exist on the market.
Thanks for making this happen!
Not working with LPP running CM7.1 on my OG droid.
idea is great.. but it doesnt work w my evo 3d running sense 3. is it a requirement for the launcher to support scrolling?

not working means user list stays empty?
This is a very good attempt. Hopefully you can get it to work on sense 3.5 roms. I use gtalk alot and would love to have this. Yes the message list stays empty

Yes it is empty, and does not display any new messages. It also said my launcher api was too old.
launcherpro?
It seems that it is, for whatever reason, using an old api and therefore the launcher is not supported by lots of scrolling widgets.

Hmm, that is interesting. I have never had any trouble with any of my other scrolling widgets.
working so far so good
but it marks away contacts as offline contacts
and it would be good if it had some button to clear open contacts, because it still shows open chats
can't dl on my s2 running cm7...

Update!
-honeycomb (and greater) is now supported (change status not working yet; google changed their "api" >_>)
-contacts list should load a bit faster now
I attached the .apks in first post for those who cannot download from market (for whatever strange reasons ).
hi,
the apps works great with golauncherex, but is it possible to write messages directly on homescreen? that would be really a plus for this widget.
Update 2:T
There is something massively wrong with the dictionary on this keyboard. I am going to uninstall it and try another one. I'll leave this one up as it works, just has a dictionary that's missing basic words.
Update:
Ripped this out of a Sensation (qHD res) AOSP ROM.
Considerations:
Works perfectly
SMS app is not registering as such and therefore you are not getting access to emoticons but it does give you emoticons in G+
Notification is semi-persistent in the bar about selecting input type (no idea why)
To Install
Check install non-market apps in security settings
E-mail attached apk to yourself via gmail
Click install in gmail app
Turn on keyboard via "languages & Keyboard"

Hi,
I really dislike the HTC Sense keyboard. Is it possible to just sideload the ICS keyboard?
There are a few available on the market but i much prefer just to use the raw apk, not someone has reworked.
Thanks!
Debatable I got the ics keyboard from market its nice and a few more options

I decided to give it a try:
I ripped out the keyboard out of this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494373
e-mailed latinIME.apk to myself on gmail.
Clicked install and it worked perfectly.
Only issues is that I am still not getting the emoticons on the SMS app because the keyboard only shows emoticons in chat/messaging apps not email. The SMS apps seems to not register itself as a SMS/messaging app.
I've attached the keyboard to the first post for all to enjoy.
i have installed the JBMIUIv4.1_2.10.12R2r rom the only problem that im facing is that the keyboard in messaging only doesnt auto rotate to landscape can any1 please help me out i've looked everywhere but could'nt find a single clue
Maybe you can try installing a different keyboard. If you like swipe you can try touch pal keyboard from the play store. I use this keyboard myself and really like it because I like swipe and the jelly bean rom I'm runnings keyboard does not do swipe. I came across touch pal keyboard and it's proven to be an excellent keyboard. Hopefully this will solve your issue. TouchPal learns new words as you type and is the best swipe keyboard I've came across.
Best wishes and Also just to let you know TouchPal works perfectly in landscape mode too. Just rotate the phone and it goes to landscape. I personally really like this replacement keyboard. Hopefully this will solve your issue. . Good luck.
