Which stock Verizon phone - General Topics

So for my company I need to have an unrooted phone to access Good For Enterprise. I don't want to unroot my Note 2 to use the app. My question is if you could choose a phone on verizon to use stock as an unrooted device what would you choose? I'm not really sure as I haven't ran a stock phone in probably 5 years.
Thanks for the any suggestions you guys can throw my way.

Anyone thinking about leaving Samsung after owning an S4 or S5?

I've owned an S2, S3, and now the S4. I'm pretty tired of the fact that they are making it a PITA to root the phone and fully regain control of it. I know for a fact that this will now be my last Samsung phone for a while.
I'm debating on going to these phones:
- LG G3 (when it releases on AT&T)
http://www.lg.com/global/g3/index.html
- Oppo (waiting on their newest device to drop)
http://oppostyle.com/
- Nexus (waiting for I/O announcement)
Are there any other manufacturers you guys could recommend with a better modding community? I'd prefer to stick with a device that comes with Vanilla Android (like the Nexus) but wouldn't mind an OEM with a good track record. It boggles my mind why they would lock bootloaders and make it difficult to mod. It could very well be the carriers as well for all I know.

Hacker-friendliest Android phone

Hello.
I am thinking of replacing my Xperia Play with something fresher.
Is there any Android phone that is sold rooted? Probably not, so what's the closest to that?
I like having my phone rooted (mostly for firewall and permission management), but official OTA updates usually keep removing root, so I'll probably have to use an unofficial ROM. That's fine by me, as long as I don't have to keep flashing for every update. I think CM is my favorite.
What's the best phone-ROM combo to have both, the latest Android versions (with updating being as little of a hassle as possible), and root?
I hope I'm being coherent.
I would probably say a nexus phone or the new Motorola phone coming out

Assuming you're not on Verizon, but a GSM network, the Nexus 4 or Nexus 5 is your best choice, depending on how much you want to spend.

[Completed] [Q] need help picking a new phone

I currently use a Samsung Galaxy SIII on verizon. I did the whole rooting and bootloader thing (whatever you call it). Im in the market for a new phone and was wanting some insight on what new phones are out there that i can do the same thing. I love the ability to load custom roms and do away with all the bloatware that come with every phone. Can some one help out with letting me know what phone still has the capability to root like i did my SG3. I keep reading that the new galaxy phones are impossible to root anymore. I was leaning towards the note 4 but it looks like theres not root for it. Im looking for a phone that I know can be rooted (along with the bootloader) and where i can use custom roms. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Hi,
you won't get your question answered on XDA. I suggest you search for the best phone you should pick yourself. For the ability to root the phone you desire, I recommend you to have a look if there is a device forum on XDA and that the phone is rootable.
Good luck!

recommend a good rootable phablet as a second phone?

I have a Nexus 6, stock, not rooted. it is my main phone, and i use it with project Fi.
BUT, i'm looking for a backup phone to replace one i just recently lost.
i still also have my old grandfathered ATT unlimited data plan from back when the iphone first came out, and i was using that sim in my old galaxy note 2, rooted, with various AOSP roms on it. now trouble is, i've lost my old note 2.
So what I'm looking for is:
easily rootable without a buggy hack like a patched kernel
5.5" screen size if possible, preferably bigger
current enough to run a Marshmallow AOSP rom, but does not have to be blazing fast
it's beginning to look like the note 2 is still the way to go...

help with buying device *please help*

ok so this is my first time on here and i decided to make a thread because I simply cant find anything on this. (could also be that I'm slow and just didn't see it in front of my face) Anyways in the past week I have gotten ahold of over 10 phones. main purpose? unlock bootloader, root device, and play Pokémon go official app on the device, of course their are other things i want it for but this is my main reason. but every device I've gotten my hands on have been a complete fail and its driving me insane!! so I'm just looking at my options what can I do? I really want to get a Samsung galaxy tab s6 lite but honestly I don't wanna waste my money and not be able to root. I really need something that that is gonna work either a high end tab or a high-end phone that can be rooted. would be even better if I could just by a pre rooted phone or tab somewhere. please just, any help would be appreciated.
